Coeur

The Mystery You'Re

You're the Chaos and yet you're the Calm
You're the Thorns and yet you're the Rose
You're the Fantasy and yet you're the Reality
You're the Control and yet you're the Liberty
You're the Puzzle and yet you're the Adventure
You're the Rhyme and also the Rythme
You're the History and yet you're the Full Story
You're the Past and yet you're the Future
You're the Fight and yet you're the Rest
You're the Sunshine and yet you're the Glow
You're the Tickle and yet you're the Laughter
You're the Magic and also the Vibe
You're the Captivity and You're the Liberty
You're the Temptation and yet you're the Satisfaction
You're the Charm and yet you're the Love
You're the Lioness and yet you're the lamb
You're the Rage and yet you're the Grace
You're the Rain and Also the Rainbow
You're the Secret and yet you're the Revelation
You're Strong and yet you're too soft
You're the pause and yet you're the Continuation
You're the Mystery!

I Must Be High

When the boys are out here partying
And the girls are on the dance floor dancing
Tables are full of liquor but I am sipping on water.
It's 4am, am silent.
I must be high.

When I write lines that don't rythme.
When I can't finish a piece on time.
When I am down, not even on talk time.
I hate to admit it.
But it's been a while, I am still patient.
I must be high.

It's my birthday, they got me a cake.
A surprise party that I can't take.
But this is life, it's just another check.
I am concerned but I have got to consent.
I must be high.

Trouble looms, it's dark in my home.
So I live like everyday is my last.
On the streets, my age ain't safe.
They shoot to kill, I am a suspect all day.
I hate to admit it.
I ain't free in my homeland.
I must be high.

I don't drink.
I don't smoke.
I flirt
I lie.
I am consistent.
I am a trouble causer.
I must be high.
I must be high.
I must be high.
I am high on life.

Quicksand

Sometimes life can seem like quicksand.
Without the band.
It is a journey unplanned.
Uncharted the road

Struggling without direction.
Loses all protection.
It plummets one in deep reflection.
Down to the bottom.

From decades ago a hand reaches out.
Help is there no doubt.
Hope inspires your joy to shout.
Love rescues!

For the Braves

Struggle is a rythme we dance to
Never be a pushover they run through
Rather be a protector they run to

You've got to be strong to move mountains
Be strong enough to worth something
Live will leave no handouts
Better snatch yours and run out.

The Zunzuncito

Today I saw The Zunzuncito
for the very first time,
For such a tiny bird
I write this little rythme.

The smallest bird in the world,
The fly bird, bee bird, elf.
Has brought me a little joy
Deep within myself.

Species of the hummingbird
Wingspans near inch or two,
For all the teeny-weeny aves
Excites me so I woo…

The Zunzuncito we are blessed to have
In this amazing world we share,
Another beauty from our God
So delicate and rare.

My Tired Mind

deep in the shadows of my tired mind
down into the shallows of my pain
I look into the Misty depths
And see i remain in Chains

my soul stands at the window
and the images I see won't pass
the visions I've seen linger
and has carved a nitch of darkness
in my heart

I placed my hand upon the mirror
and felt the touch of pain
through the glass
the sensation of bitter suffering
burned my flesh

a low raspy whisper or hum
is heard in the rythme
of such a sorrowful melody
I paused and realized
it was my own cries I heard
I tried to pull away
but I've already imprinted
my soul with damage

draining the life right out of me
my head hurts as it pounds
at my temples
I'm so tired now
 but fear keeps me awake

Dont Cover Your Eyes

My heart beat is in rythme with yours,
If you cut off the blood flow, your vision will get blurred,
Love is a powerful thing, yes indeed!,
When you cut the cord, it gets harder to see,
We we're not meant to be alone,
We are connected for our hearts to grow,
Your heart beat is in rythme with mine,
Don't allow the fears of this world to cover your eyes.

Track No 69

he wears a leather jacket
with buttons lost their shine
and rolling stones, jimi hendrix
kool and the gang
but he can't sing them
no more
oh, baby
no more.

scabby fingers
chipped away
by taut chords
now slack
no longer
quick
or
any rythme
to
them.

and he can't
make music like he used to
any more nor
thrust his hips
so throws his guitar
around his neck
kicks the stool
and waits
for the notes
to
spring
oh, baby, how he sings.

Say Goodbye

Sacred devotions
Cherished from my heart
Stored deep within me
Filling the empty spaces
All that I care for
I hold tightly onto
As my heart throbs
To an soothing rythme

Ignored thoughts
Repeating in my mind
Warn me from falling
Into temptation coming
To change everything
So I must run from urges
Creeping in to taint my thoughts
To stain who I am

Stolen emotions
Erased from my soul
Taken away from me
Leaving absouluty nothing behind
Except faded traces
Of what is already gone
A soul no longer mine
To much pain otherwise

Lost innocence
Wasted from my youth
Thrown aside inside me
Abandoning all that I am
Like I never mattered
Replacement wasn't an option
A forgivenance to save
My innocence to far away to catch

Given questions
Unabled from my understandings
What's right or wrong in me
I can't find any answer
That can cure my disease
Of wicked intentions that is
Notions in question
To late to turn from

Careless senses
Grown numb from my touch
Still out of reach
Dropping what I loved
Hateing what I've become
Frozen in despair now
Paralized awareness I grasp
Ton always remain the one
That';s damaged and done

The Dance

Lithely moving
they cross the dance floor in swirls
their feet barely touching the ground
as they spin in perfect rythme around

smiles light their faces
as he dips her to the floor
and up again
into a waltz in breathtaking time

so skilled are they you think that they simply float
until their perfect moment comes all undone
by another couple who are having fun
as they cavort around the ballroom floor
it doesn't get any better than this
they think
as they see the other couple walk out the door-

fractured inklings of why this could be
haunts the couple that lost the contest
and they wondered why me?
They had practiced and practiced for this very dance
a dance that drew parallel lines to the couples romance
each step
each hand hold
practiced till they had fabulous timing
but now they were suddenly
adept at pining...

never mind
never mind
we will rise again
and this time we will make it the tango
aware of where we place our steps
perfect and precise
neat and free
holding our boundaries
from the others that be.

Africa My Africa

......Africa my Africa.......
A land flowing with milk and honey
based on the Ancestral Savanna
A land of beauty and radiance
A land of strong warriors and built men
A land of strong men with forsight
A land where tobacco has its root deep into the loamy
Africa my Africa

Africa my Africa
A land filled with beautiful maidens
Maidens of honor and warmth
sweets is the smell of their palm
the rows in her hair defines her elegance
A land of well bred princess of motherhood
A land of sweet smell in its field
Africa my Africa

Africa my Africa
A land of patriotic citizens
A land of unending opportunites
A place filled with rythme and sound of music in the air
land where culture has its root
Africa my Africa

Oh how i long for my Africa
the joy that fills my heart when i move closer can not be describe
I long for my Africa,
I love my Africa
Africa gives me warmth and hope for a better day
Africa oh my Africa

You Make Me Proud

I sit here listening to my son play the guitar,
It sounds so good ,so good so far,
He starts to play along them strings,
And then you hear him start to sing,
Keep that rythme and keep it strong,
Remember the words of this song,
He trys to get it and get it right,
Hes always playing night after night,
I hope he can make it to the top,
Either way he makes me feel proud of what i got,

Precocious

Only in precocious can it be this way,
facing the hardship of life everyday.
My family and friends had kicked me out,
cause they didn't understand what my life is about.
A swagger like style with a rythme so unique,
i approached a stage and dared anyone to compete;
after time went by i was the man of the streets.
I went back to my hood to let them see what i became,
flashing my doe and bloating my fame.
Their was none standing to put me down,
the crowd got larger as they gathered around.
I showed the people that was no shame,
as i quoted the words from the lords holy name.
You just call on me brother,
when you need a hand.
We all need somebody to lean on.
Lean on me when your not strong,
and i will be your friend to help you carry on.
