Wars and Rumours

“Wars, wars,
And rumours of Wars”,
Exactly what Jesus said.
“In the world today you will have tribulation,”
Exactly what Jesus said.

Close to the beginning
In the very first family
Cain killed Abel his brother
And so it has been ever since.

Despite God’s command
Love your neighbour as yourself,
On our own, God’s creatures
Cannot do that at all.

But through Jesus Christ,
Through his life and his death
Through his rising again
There is hope and there’s power.

We can live life in love
And peace through his Cross.
And no longer be lost
In these wars at such cost.

Atlantic Ocean

Poem written on 10th November, 2025
for "The Earth's Oceans Poetry Contest"
by Constance La France.

"The sea sheaths her gluttonous grip in a calm candour."
quote by the author.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
From the Greek myth of the Titan Atlas, your name,
In saltiness, no sea can quite compare.
Your mighty footprints press upon many nations —
Only the Pacific reaches more shores and coasts.
You bore the deceit that chained Africans —
Changed the hues of faces in the Americas.
You ferried millions into dark living shackles —
A graveyard for rebellious ones.
Upon your blue-green belly wars were won and lost;
You echoed the Cuban missile crisis.
You swallowed the Titanic mid its pleasure trip,
Still hold Gustloff's nine thousand bones.
You foster commerce and the flow of trade,
Yielding black gold with tireless ease.
You guard rich treasures for mankind,
Yet hide your deepest secrets in your vastest depths.
Is it true that with earthquake you sank Atlantis?
Do you have a triangle that vanish vessels?
Have you assigned a coast to the Sargasso Sea?
All these rumours your silence spreads both far and near.
Rumours
Screaming rumours frightened the wings
out of pregnant vultures — and the city hall
shook with their sudden flightlessness.
Who could have done this —?
Projecting such banner of hate!
Rumours are spread with red dancing tongues —
embers where loose talks are brewed, and
with the intention of relegating the village to
the back of the jungle league.
Autumn Rumours
      Afternoon ember flare coddles forest
      Nodule noses, from dark bark eyes sap drips
      Naked soldiers, Summer’s subside promised
      Farewell foliage, spun fairy floss gossip
      News spew swept red runaway train carriage
      Ridiculed witches watch fireworks astral
      Rudimentary broom aircrafts encourage
      Twilight wake creatures creep from log capsules
      Twitching whiskers, dusk susurrate translate
      Trampled damp mushrooms mulch to mildew fleece
      Orange fungi full moon balloon inflate
      Hot flight flame exhales exhausting release
      Grey limb wind tortured troops groan, familiar
      Guards gravely wait for Winter’s insignia
Rumours
She is as pure as Heaven and as cruel as Hell,
She is an angelic devil and always ready to cast a spell.
She's a Thunder yet calm as a lake,
She's authentic but at the same time, she's Fake,
RUMOURS say that her life is a bed of roses,
But she's dangerous and has deadly poses!
Her beauty and charm begin where our imaginations get over,
She's unfortunate but lucky as a Four Leaf Clover.
Her eyes are dark black and lips, little pink like peach,
She's as cold as glacier and warm as beach,
The odour of her dark brown wet hair,
Is dancing in every inch of the fresh air.
RUMOURS say she kills with Kindness and Grace,
Smile is playing on her lips and blood is on her face!
She has a black heart but she is very kind,
She has a serene soul but evil is on her mind
She is turbulent and violent but so gentle and meek,
She has infinite luxury yet her life is bleak.
RUMOURS say she is wild and free but a little shy,
She dances in the rain yet her heat is Dry.!!
Premium Member Rumours
People tell rumours
Because they have bad motives
They're jealous
They snatch from others
They're greedy
They're overbearing
They're mischievous
But I tell only because I'm careless
I'm simple, straight forward
I believe my senses
I believe what I see
And so people pretend to be friendly
I believe what I listen
And so people say sweet words
I tell my feelings
And so people make plans
I'm educated
I see only evidence
A chance event
Can make a long long story sometimes
I believe my wisdom
I make my own judgement
And try to convince others sometimes
When one day I found that
I can't understand why my lover leave me
He didn't see my hard works anymore
He didn't listen to my feelings and love anymore
He didn't apologize with his sweet words anymore
He didn't smile with his sweet appearance anymore
Just like
I didn't see his heart at the very beginning
I believed my own rumours
Which my eyes and ears cheated my heart
Oh my god
Now it's too late
When Dumb Folk Hear Rumours
Dumb people hear rumours and go all out attack
Clever folk hear them and want extra facts
The Dumb come at you firing accusations
The Clever come at you asking questions
So quick to jump to a full gone conclusion
when only one outcome is there for the choosing
When you hear gossip you allow its digestion
It gives you the knowledge and you’re now interesting
Getting involved to be apart of the drama
who cares about those you are causing trauma
just for this moment you can chitter chatter
feeling most flattered that you finally matter
Dumb people hear rumours and want to believe them
the version of you their desperately needing
a story of failure so far from succeeding
it tells you that they live with bitterness breeding
Maybe they’re no one and never get notice
and it leaves them feeling forever hopeless
this is their victory your failure their focus
their still bloody nobody living life hopeless
Premium Member Confusion
It takes life long
To study the world
Or its people
Because it's complex
Always in a state of confusion and chaos
Anything can happen
Rumours can be turned into truths
Truths can be turned into fallacies
So
Look before you leap
Think thrice before you act
Consequences and dangers can spoil and kill
Truths are hard to reveal sometimes
For a poor man
No time, energy and wisdom for all these
So keep your mouth shut
Keep your eyes blind
Keep your ears deaf
Truths will be understood amongst wisers
For you
Keep all the secrets in your heart if any
Or mention them to your God if any
Rumours
I have a bone to pick with you.
     I heard you spread rumours about me.
     Said, I am courageous,
     And have endurance.
     Am very smart,
     Have a good heart.
     You like my smile,
     The sparkling in my eyes.
     Are they true?
     Was it you?
     Or are these rumours all lies.
     I’d like to hear,
     From your mouth to my ear.
     So I could spread rumours about you too
Premium Member Please Don'T Let Me Down
Once upon a time my heart murmured
I wouldn't listen to gossips
I wouldn't listen to fallacies
I wouldn't listen to rumours
And you please don't let me down
However
I'll lend a listening ear to
Only the truth and justice
Amongst the honest people
At any corner of the world
I'll cock my ears to listen to
Only the truth and justice
That's embedded  in the bible
The voices of God
Oh,true and justice
Your world will be my home
Premium Member Turn a Deaf Ear
Turn a deaf ear to rumours
Turn a stonely heart to fallacies
Turn a blind eye to briberies
And life will be as happy as
A fish swimming in a clear pool
With soft sunlight
And some shady sea weeds
Premium Member Rumours
Spread like the colour of grey
From  black to white
From white to black
In a different tone
In an ambiguous form
To blur the eyes
To look at the world at a different angle
To interfere mankind's dignity
To question and fight against the truths
To believe whatever fallacies
Regardless of logics and truths
Premium Member The Witness
God is the only witness
Who is so loyal to truths
He lives in our prayers
He lives in our hearts
And he lives in our difficulties
So almighty that
At any circumstances, anytime and anywhere
Premium Member Fears
Fears follow me
Days and nights
Like the shadows
That cast on my way
Blur my directions
Fears follow me
The whole day long
Like the mud
That stuck onto my shoes
And cannot be kicked off
Fears follow me
Todays and tomorrows
Like the rumours
That spread near and far
Overlook my dignity
Fears follow me
For decades
Like a shield
That blocks the glory
Of the universe
But fears leave me
When I finally found God
