Life has many mirrors
like a Fun House,
many nooks and crannies
different paths and roadways
that can take you
in various directions
You may believe
steadfast in your feelings
that you have chosen
the right one, the one for you
But after awhile
other circumstances come to light
new emotions surface
and you begin to question
the rightness of it all
Was it just a temporary station
on your path of existence?
Was it all a learning experience
fostering growth, expansion?
Questions for eternity

Frequency of Heaven

Tune into the frequency of heaven and start
Let that be the loudest melody within your heart
In the voice of the Body, let faith impart
Only by God's Hand, it is heaven’s art
In our weakness, in Him we trust
What is shattered, He will mend and adjust
Yesterday's harm, broken and rendered void
Turning graves into gardens, oh what a joy
From lack to abundance, seas to roadways
From mourning to dancing, ruins to hallways
Angels are sent to guard and to guide
We will walk on top of winds and glide
In our utter helplessness, He shines through,
Bridging and restoring, making all things new.

Premium MemberYielding

It's not a matter of confrontations face to face.
Like most things, it's all about time and space.

Highways and roadways are designed for travelers.
The motorists may be workers or vacationers.

Lanes have their basic function and purpose,
And it's very vital that we learn to focus.

Your lane is mine; My lane is your lane.
Yielding is often the key to avoiding pain.

Sketched Out Roadways

Endless fields,
I don't notice them anymore.
I drive upon a video map
of ever repeating memories.

The land is flat,
the horizon hardly changes,
mile after mile
the same white noise
scratching eardrums.

Radio on --- not listening,
though somewhere in my head
Brahms has just finished
his fourth symphony,
an empty sky sighs
in my dry mouth.

A dog is barking,
a distant farm appears
through a corn haze.

Eyes back on the road again.
the ever rolling-on road -
its hypnotic hammer beats,
occasionally switching channels
in my mind.

Cruising the 80s

Angela spoke to Bob, then they caught a
Taxi and took a ride through the 80s
Prince decided to take a ride too but he wanted
to go fast so he took a Little Red Corvette and parked the Mercedes

Cruising, riding, cruising the 80s
Fun, happy, and free for sure, and very few maybes

Michael Knight pressed the gas as he rode against
crime with his good friend KITT
Bo, Daisy, and Luke joined the fun while running some shine and eluding Boss Hogg with their wit

Bruce Banner opted for a pair of Rockport and a
backpack for fear of revealing his green side
Crockett and Tubbs could feel it 'In the Air Tonight' as they cruised the south side

Cruising, riding, cruising the 80s
Fun, happy, and free for sure, and very few maybes

Yes, cruising

Not only by roadways but on the big blue seas,
Romance and adventure were felt on The Love Boat
embracing the breeze

Read aloud -a Hilda Morley tribute

gestures of merit
    light in letters
      with fluttering words
simplicity
  of impulse
       twixt art &art

white silence
     shape emotions
with
   power of the image
in
  the inner
state of mind
           oozing unevenly
seething
constellations of perception
random
      splinters of sound
roadways of
                 thought
out
   of everywhere

sequenced elipsis
visual blanks
on
a spatial pitch
in
   spiritual breaths
minimal linear
                flows&
stopped
      by streams&visions
bruise-blue
           cloud shapes
rouse anger
&exhileration
in
   the absence of constraint
belonging nowhere
looking
touching
longing
       wishing
choices scattered
                blunted
by helplessness
uprooted
crumpled in small tokens
shaken
crushed
     fallen shapes
         abandoned

upwards
sideways
     in silent
unshapen
    shadows-
the unspoken
essence of knowledge
&
sounds remembered

Scarcely had dawn lit the town…
Nighties hugged tight around…
Onlookers at an overnight transformation…
Winter wonderland’s aspiration!

People light the fire and consider…
Let others go outside and take risks.
Only those truly dedicated few
Understand and act on loving neighbours, through
Getting everything prepared as they go…
Heavy clothing to protect from snow, they
Shovel roadways with their ploughs…

intimate season abode
snow gateway
towel
sands at sundown
veranda
keep an eye out
in the roadways

I bore a portrait
because it ne'er was

keep it veiled
in the cloud
from my musings
only this
Wandering verdict
echo
unused passion

Premium MemberTerra Incognita

So strange this land, old and yet young.
Where is this place of tall green trees,
and grey-haired men in unknown tongue?
they must have traveled summer's breeze.

Adobe brick quonset "chalets"
mud-soaked roadways in all the blocks.
WACs and wives and waifs everyday
midst hollyhocks and four o'clocks.

Los Alamos*, this place must be.
A land of Oz 'neath bluest sky.
Where science dealt humanity
a fatal blow, then watched it die.

A perfect paradox is this.
How splendid to contrast the two--
a lovely place/a devil's kiss,
and wisdom sprinkled like the dew.

I left quite soon but still recall
the secrets hidden on each page.
The lilac mountains looming tall,
their perfume of fission and sage.

Roadways and divided highways, Destinations
to encounter unexpectedly treading on thin ice
Headed into a dead end no outlet to take
unconsciously. Directions were given was very diminutive! and insecurities that formed judgments of one's self doubt and vulnerability visited one's insecurities.
