Premium Member Part I - The Ridge of the Mind

The Normal sat with hands in lap,
A folded map, a steady pulse,
The world a grid, a factual trap,
Where truth is plain and never false.
"The world," it said, "is stone and lime,
A clockwork heart that keeps the time."
The Abnormal paced the jagged edge,
With eyes like broken stained-glass panes,
A crow upon a crumbling ledge,
With lightning dancing in its veins.
"The world," it hissed, "is silk and smoke,
A cosmic, cruel, and gorgeous joke."

Note: The boundary between the "sane" and the "unbalanced" is often just a matter of which way the telescope is pointed. In this poem, the two sides of the psyche sit on a ridge, debating the physics and the phantoms of a distant solar system.

Premium Member The Righteous Sword

Buffeted by Fire Darts, Matters Not
Feel the Righteous Fell Swoop Of God,
No Sword Unforged, All Souls Counted For
when All is Lost, All is Found, Alas Heavens Galore
Rollin Forth like Steel, In Zeal Esque like Coats Of Arms
In Shields, like Cavaliers, we Illumine like Stars
No Tip to Cold, Emblazoned by the Light
A Blade so Just, so to a T, So Bright
 Ever - Ablaze
the Faith, it Shines like Solar Rays
Into the Nights like Knights of Ancient Days
with Courage, and Valor, and Ankhs and Sage
Upwards into the Golden Cathedral where Hosanna Dwells
through the Pillars of Jerusalem, past the Valleys of Hell
Upstanding by the Ideal, Israel Rises Above Vicissitudes
where Victory is Acquired, and the Sword turns Absolute

Endless conflicts

I'm torn between two distant worlds ~
one steeped in wickedness and sin,
the other pure and righteous;
my mind drifts like oil on water.

Alluring is the glory of heaven,
promised if I remain pure and holy,
yet enticing is the frivolity
hidden in jollity they call "sin."

My mind imagines the afterlife the Bible depicts,
yet I savour worldly pleasures my flesh can't resist.
Even when I long to retreat from every sinful street,
my soul burns within with these endless conflicts.

What if the promise is merely a myth,
and I found out that piety robbed me of earthly pity?
Would that not be a loss of two cities –
one paved with gold, the other left cold?

Weary from dreaming.
Life void of meaning.
Drowning in sorrow.
Unable to face tomorrow.
Christ The Savior appears.
Vanished are all her fears.

Our skin is not a costume

Our pain is not your entertainment
We don't exist purely for your amusement
My skin is not a costume
Don't treat us like we are some display In a showroom

We won't apologise for our presence
We will walk in every room with our heads up
Our silence our greatest weapon
It honours our intelligence
Your biggest flaw is your smugness
Our existence is your weakness
No wonder you try to demean us

Our afro is not an invitation
Your hands don't get to ruin hours of preparation
It is not for your exploration
And no we won't explain why it's so sacred
You dont get to be racist
But be in awe of our self made creation

We are proud of our blackness
You dont get to witness our greatness
Or be a part of our self celebration
Especially when you spent all your life on hating us
You dont deserve us
Nor our forgiveness

we know the difference
between right and wrong

we have a conscience
that defines boundaries
and sets the parameters
of our defined integrity

and this draws the confines
ultimately of the way we live

The Sound of Silence Part Two

Hello Darkness, my old friend,
I'm afraid we have to start again,
The visions planted in my head,
Fake nutrition we've been fed,
An agenda thats just for one,
Evil's son,
Within the sound of silence,

In a web, I walked with masses,
Many held the toast of glasses,
A shot rang out with a miss,
Fist rose in a state of bliss,
Victory by defeat that was the cure,
Or just a lure,
That touched the sound of slience,

Hidden meanings consume the law,
Out of the deep, corpses crawl,
People led by a faint light,
Riots charged with no fight,
Like cows led to a greener pasture,
Fed by one master,
Lord of the sound of silence,

Still you do not know,
Silence like a cancer grows,
Words, i hope that might reach you,
Praying for Heaven's clue,
Surpassed by silent's wool,
Drug to the void of silence,

And the people bowed and prayed,
To the righteous gods they made,
Angels flying overhead,
Not a holy figurehead,
The prophetic book has said "The end is near",
With much to fear,
From the Sound of Silence.

Righteous People

Righteous people
They don't falter
They don't get weak.

Righteous Works

A little act of kindness
Makes you a hero for a day
A life you give for the country
Makes you a hero for a lifetime.

A fish you give to the needy
Makes life sustain for a day
A step to the moon he did
Is lifetime achievement for humanity.

A story you teach for the youngsters
Makes them morally upright
A word of God you share for a gullible
Is worth the whole world treasures combine.

AN ENDANGERED MOUSE

A man is born homo-Erectus
Into a world
Where women wants
To usurp authority
A world where
Women will electrocute her man
If she can’t wrap him
Around her little fingers
Thus I often beg God
For one big favor…
Let me die
The death of the righteous
The day I become
An endangered mouse

The righteous side

I sit alone,
and meditate.
I think of kin,
I dare to hate.
I think of things,
that I have done.
I think of people,
we live among.

I think of deeds,
that shame my soul.
I think of sins,
I can’t control.
But as I embrace,
my inner peace,
my true emotions,
begin to feast.

To God I pray,
with all regret,
and hope my sins,
I can forget.
In time of need,
He is my guide.
He is indeed,
the righteous side.

Premium Member The Righteous

As the world turns into the unrecognizable
As justice is completely destroyed,
and laws are merely twisted at will
As corruption distorts and destroys
As people are divided and murdered
As hatred spreads like lava spilling,
and safety wanes rapidly like snow in rain
As voices are censored and people silenced,
while our rights are stomped on and stolen
While diseases are man- made and food poisoned,
with proven bio engineered ingredients on labels
While toxins are deliberately burned around us
As the fire heats up and the water is boiling
When you cannot find positive things once there
If you feel lost in daily crisis, feeling alone....

The righteous will be given strength to survive all odds
The righteous will be given courage to speak truth!
The righteous will stay sane and make miraculous differences
The righteous will work and they will never give up!
There will be no fading of light, no way to stop the righteous
The righteous will be considered truthful, kind, courageous
                  - and the righteous will be saved -

Premium Member Vertical Horizontal righteous in Him-

As I lay dormant I stand raised in the midst of my vertical
I lay horizontal yet I rise beneath myself so I stand
Amongst my inner man a sinner man I stand and walk, I am righteous in Him

Prayers Of Righteous

Prayers of righteous
Whether spoken or not
What the Lord hear first.

Self-Righteous Bravery

Priggish bravery
Is disguised as happiness
Life's dull savory.
