If displaced, found nowhere, but in water
of the retention pond,
no longer in V-formation, nowhere
in the bluest sky,
however, beneath and at the behest
of angels, ruled by God,
it is my greenest eyes that you swim in,
as I exit the highway.
This exit didn’t exist when Mom was alive,
nor the quick stop, QT,
that I pass by, so close to my dad’s house.
On a cul-de-sac, road’s end,
I pull into his short, straight driveway, push
open the door, unlocked.
I quick-tell my story of the seized geese,
it was only mine to tell,
of how I saw their takeoff as if they were planes
leaving the lonely spot,
their brief stay with only my mind and heart
to excite; somewhere lifting
into the gray, blue day prodded on by
a host of angels.
Dad doesn’t recall the retention pond; is
it nowhere
but in my imagination; oh no,
it is so real, beyond nowhere, somewhere
where his eyes can’t see,
for Dad drives straight to the liquor store,
prepared to see olives
in his martini; but he’s happy to see geese fly
out my retentive mouth.
With death gripping talons he controls foot and hand,
Unable to cry out due to fear as he had planned,
Fear of vanishing under this bed,
So young to feel such dread,
This haunting nightmare shall always remain,
To meander as a retention in my brain.
for intuition
God gave us ammunition
knowledge retention
for much pollution
God gave us a solution
should use exclusion
a McCarthy mess
is trouble we must confess
we should have to stress
we need a balance
of power with their talents
also reliance
Thoughts track back, as a fox on the run
Though the memory is seared, a toasted bun.
Memory remember me, because I have forgotten.
Recollection fail us not, because my retention is rotten.
Data exists in the web that the universe is built on.
And once uploaded, it is forever ingrained, will never be gone.
The door is locked, the file lost, it’s taking too long to load.
I’ll get it unblocked, whatever cost, I need it to continue my road.
Memories play, day after day, and drop in whenever they want.
But when I need one now, then my lost thoughts have skills they like to flaunt.
I know they’ll find me, when i try for sleep, in the witching hour.
It’s the best time we know to be reminded of the brain and it’s power.
Nothing is ever lost, not to us, just a little hidden.
Memory forget me not, but just in case, I will have my thoughts and words written.
I think it’s time I stopped paying attention
To those who suffer from **** retention,
Who are stuck in a rut of raw vengeance
Penning verses out of jealous vehemence,
And lashing out with tirades of cattiness
Written with their characteristic nastiness,
Seems they cannot abide my liberal stances
They’d rather regress than make advances,
They tout protecting their individual liberty
No concern for what’s good for you and me.

Must Mention Retention at Convention
must have to mention
would not be much retention
in crazy convention

I am sore afraid my hope is lost
Heighten is my beating heart
My prayers are freed up my cost
My faith has retain my hope

In school, Maxwell never paid attention
Got punished with maximum detention --
They seized his smartphone
Maxwell moaned and groaned --
But, Wow! ~ Did it improve his retention!
The Memory of you,
was like the unheard echo,
in the depths of the sea.
When I was younger and I thought of old age
Thought we all became senile at this elderly stage
It appears I was wrong, I can still go potty
And able to dress this tired old body
Try as I might, I don't see very well
And my wobbly old legs are as shaky as hell
Sometimes my words come out like a squeak
Other times I whistle whenever I speak
Have a secret to tell you my young whipper snappers
It's as good as it gets except for my bladder
It seems to be constantly wanting attention
I don't have a problem with pee-pee retention
So now that I've told you guys what to expect
I must tell you all it's as good as it gets
Enjoy your youth cause it's downhill from here
You'll soon be old and decrepit I fear
