Maximum Retention

In school, Maxwell never paid attention
Got punished with maximum detention --
  They seized his smartphone
  Maxwell moaned and groaned --
But, Wow! ~ Did it improve his retention!

Hello Gershon … great limerick. Should be repeated at the beginning of every class until the message sinks in. Schools are beginning to begin banning all devises here - thank you Gershon - Lindsay

I wish you had written this limerick about the teachers who have to run to look at theirs at every little beep when they are teaching! This drives ME nuts!

Hmm. Interesting point about those teachers who are always running to check their smartphones. They never get terminated, do they = Maximum Retention! LOL. Thanks for pointing this out, Caren. :) gw
