Breakup, Internet Style

Your emails are deleted as fast as sent.
On my cell’s contact list, you don’t exist.
I burn your face over and over again
Until only charred memories remain.

You’re on the internet with that other person,
In real time, abusing my emotions.
Then, wanting me back to satisfy your ego,
Just to see me a butt-end joke on social media
(But that isn’t going to happen!).

Your asinine tactics putrefy my stomach,
Your condescending words make me vomit.
From one to ten, you’re like yesterday’s text,
A purged message flushed down the toilet.

Nobody Dies Forever Tribute To Carolyn Helen Devonshire

Let everyone be aware
of this prominent truth :
There is no eternal death,
no one dies forever!
If the body deteriorates,
the flesh of the spirit
it doesn't even putrefy in ground dust,
neither with time!

temperatures drop ,daylight hours fly
on the lawn yellow leaves putrefy.

Pampas tinted old gold
bathed in the evening sun-
I siesta in Fall shadows.

an old orchard wall
russets ready to fall-
pockets bulge with illegal harvest

Fallow deer feed at dawn and dusk,
Treading flat the beechnut husk

dank fog envelops
bonfire night-
the party becomes a
damp squib

IMAGE PHRASIS 1
Over the stubble,carrion crows,mist
blankets the hedge with fading leaves
where berries rot below the bramble.
As darkness slowly descends a heavy
frost whitens the ground,the daises
hang limp and old and the cold kills.
Nature blinks and shrinks.the yellowed
grass sleeps the landscape cloaked in
a shroud.Spiders cluster in weathered
straw,yellow leaves putrefy,daylight
hours fly stark sensations,simple,
abstract shapes lie as unerased words
in a litter of secret hopes.

The Failed Sunrise

The blackened sky revives in blue.
Sky’s mess of gray becomes a hue.
The robin chirps to see the dawn,
Now all await what has been gone.

The sphere most bright, a circle smear
Unfolds straight upward, very near
Until the sun appears in sight.
From edge of nothing creeps the light.

But on this morn came sickly rot,
The black seas rambled from the spot
Where sky had fallen into dust.
The currents smelled of curdled must.

The final fate was clear depicted,
And from a morning unpredicted
Earth's life was taken surprise,
And nevermore the sun would rise.

Horizon cracked, the grasses blood,
Raw reddened scabs of flooded mud.
The living pierced in lung and heart,
Convulsion’s dance, perverted art.

The stifled screams of gasping pain
Are deadened in the viscous rain.
Now stiffened carcasses will lay
And putrefy in crimson clay.

Where magma tongues caress the sod,
Come bright endowments from our God.
The sackcloth moon unthreads and burns
The twisted gods did mankind spurn.

Wild Bloom's Waltz

Waltzing slow with the wind, wild flowers bloom
             along country roads that they
                            prettify.

Red radiance here, yellow exuberance there,
              my sight they so pleasantly
                            petrify.

Blood-shot eyes of this smog-dazed urbanite,
long for beauty that can cleanse and
                            purify

these thoughts and dreams that city life and strife
              stiflle and muffle, addle and
                           putrefy.

Stranger Heart

Quite strange, but
unless it gives away
to others an essential part of it,
the heart  will not be whole;

unless, like a lake,
it generously drains itself
unto thirsty creeks and streams,
it will stagnate and putrefy;

unless it boldly bares
its vilest, darkest secrets
in humble plea for forgiveness,
it will be a stranger unto itself!

Pleasantly Petrified

wild flowers jubilate
        along country roads
           that they prettify;

     yellow radiance here,
        red exuberance there
           pleasantly petrify

     bleary, blood-shot eyes
        of smog-dazed urbanites
           needing to purify

     thoughts and dreams
        that city life and strife
           addle and putrefy.

Shrapnel of Karma

To the North, South, East, and West...

Geniuses are lost in the jaunty jewels of rakish cads,

The hazard morsel palaver allot odium on idioms...

Rankle virulent mishmash wheeze addle chagrin jives,

Loosing a volley of expletives ordure waft charmed oafs,

Self-iniquity gull maven heresy when blighted wizardry jinxes,

Ticklish cynic infidel swindle dupe cozen duress...

Squall patois and whammy sham schemas wriggle hoaxes,

Charlatans and hoodlums melange to dunce vows,

A shyster unquiet quivers with jester gestures now...

Semi-sacrilege vitiate and endemic jargon raze imps,

This collides as a white energy as dolt hooligan knaves beget...

Colloquial bilge putrefy, the rascals soon flatter us,

Bollix of potpourri lingo wanes to tutelary tongues,

Harlequin coercion argot musical novellas in history,

Pray our shifting shrapnel of karma, varnish boor minds,

Erstwhile, live grenades made of better lives are unvanquished as they are
thrown by unsung heroes into the North, South, East, and West,...amen...
