Puller Poems

Unbroken Wrench

My friend comes through and talks to me,
With their stuck nails being all I can see.
Instead of listening further,
I get my wrench and try to loosen the nails,
Trying to make them no longer be a problem.
However, what I couldn’t see,
Was that my wrench was damaging the nails,
The ones in my friend,
And they were only getting tighter in their flesh.
I reflect on my wrench, and I feel it’s broken.
But when I reflect some more, I realize it’s not broken.
Wrenches aren’t able to get nails out.
They would’ve asked for my nail puller if they wanted me to do that.
Even then, the pain of the nail would still be there from the force.
If I listened more to my friend, and stopped putting fixing their problems up to me,
Maybe the nails would’ve actually come a bit looser less forcefully,
And this, because I love them, I wish I could see.

Tired War, Release the Monkeys

Tired War,Release the Monkeys

They tried to nail my boot to the floor
No nail puller
My influence won the day
I was the monkey man

Earn the right
I want to ask
Just for a little more time
Growing life growing tree
just to lose it
Can't you see
Life got to be better
Once I lit that cigarette Ocean of tomorrows
Swells
Fasten our belts
There's air escaping This world has a leak
Just before a cats shadow beyond the hill
Against the grayish stucco plastered wall
Fortune of forever
Now its in your face
Fear fear fear
its all coming together
Together
Why I fear completion
Or falling apart
Put your mind in another place
Seeing the sun cut out to shade
I promise to do enough
oxygen enough empty space for you
To have another cigarette
Well I can't say that you suck
Unless I can do better
But even then
I saw monkeys
Hooked up to masks
I wondered who is actually murdering their ass
Well the monkey mysteriously went away
Hope take me away from tragedy
My old friend stayed
Giving death sentences like belonging to some hell bent regime
The trumpets sounded
I let it finish
I faded into forget

    Christmas Celibration : Dear Santa
Tp play Carol in sweet Sonata.
                ringing jingle bell :
                 Reindeer to wag tail.
    Music Band coming from Atlanta.

We can remember, just on last year,
     your favorite sledge puller reindeer
                 asked for new collar.
                  It took one dollar
That will fit on his neck : Am I clear ?

Arranging lunch with sweet - spicy dish,
      spaghetti, also fried tuna fish.
               Dessert sumptuous.
               Nice fruits, delicious.
Dear Santa , with deer you will relish.

i met the moon puller on a windy day
Tried to get him to stop and play
He did not look up or even my way
I guess pulling the moon takes his energy away

I went on down the hill with my friend Gray
We spoke of the moon puller most of the day
Maybe we can help him tomorrow, Tuesday?
But the moon puller did not return our way

they were staying at grandma’s when mama had her litter
She was knitting a green sweater, their sweet babysitter
Who is the yarn puller? She asked both of the kittens.
If you keep doing that, you will not get any mittens!

Premium MemberWeed Puller

I got me a puller;
it works pretty well.
Convincing the wife was
a bit of a sell.

It’s not for the garden;
works best in the woods.
A think of real beauty
once it’s understood.

For pulling up shrubs,
it’s a gardener’s delight.
Just open those jaws
and clamp them real tight.

Then you pull back the sticks
real easy and nice,
and it’s rare that you’ll need
to tug on it twice.

Now, pulling small trees
is not quite as quick
‘cuz the trunk sometimes snaps
if the roots are too thick.

But you just use those jaws
and scratch up the ground;
Those stubborn old roots
will be quick coming ‘round.

But my toy really shines
on an oversized tree.
When that sucker comes down,
I’m a-shoutin’ with glee.

You set up behind it,
dig the roots on both sides,
give a push from the back,
watch it go for a ride.

Some trees, you’ll encircle
to bust all the roots;
they’re strong and they’re tough
and they work in cahoots.

But persistence will get it;
there’s a lot it can do.
Turns out an excavator
is a weed puller too.

After Dissension God Gave Me Permission

many prefaces
emphasis on Ephesus
said on premises

what we do intend
hand of friendship did extend
love of God will lend

had a huge hassle
trying to put on my tassel
to ground will wrestle (wraahstle)

others have been caught
open email rather not
wife will have me shot

did declare a truce
for communion have grape juice
or tie neck in noose

free for all was fair
she had ripped out all my hair
now my head is bare

God brought me along
what we saw became a song
heard by a huge throng

feet started to soak
then found frog who liked to croak
he had become broke

God who does bestow
caused popularity to grow
put on quite a show

God always redeems
made Boles great on balanced beams
became party of her dreams

went walking down hall
following hall protocol
be sure to not fall

made my life fuller
became puller and pusher
of hope plush pillar

was worth waiting for
heard a message ship to shore
we have won the war

found a place for poor
in big house on a beach shore
now need an encore

after dissension
God gave me His permission
accept a commission

Emotion Part 2

Emotion is the tongue for the truth.
Tasting in awe, this law, its' proof!
It's the controller of the atmosphere.
Mantle, and the scourge of tears.
The string-puller, and the very strings.
Of bondage, and of what sets you free.
It is the aquaduct and the endproduct.
Infusing judgment to instruct, all things.
Ride and destination, wings of exhileration.
For the senses, it's a self-fulfilling dream.
Author of the Muse and Play, a mission call.
Into the fray, speaking parables, variables.
Poetry, as it deems, a veritable Changeling.
Phantom of the Opera, behind the scenes.
Frame of reference, we need, always applies.
Sometimes too much, stark and maligned.
Heralding-trumpet, that abides, tuned, being.
As the Sun in the window of Lifes' dawning.
By destroying Nothingness in its' wake.
Replacing with Joy, and risks we all take.

Premium MemberHe Was a Crowd Puller

He was a crowd puller
Not a crowd pleaser
But was it enough?
Apparently so.

He went to the top
Smoothly, quickly, and embarrassingly
Everything was great now.
Great, great, great, great, great. His best word. Great.

But it was not enough.
He wanted to be King or Czar.
He wanted a crown. He asked for a great crowner.
Get him one from England, someone yelled.

In British dialect, crowner is a coroner
in case you did not know.
I thought this was great.
Great great great great great.

Premium MemberOne Winter Morning by the Village Road

On a winter morning,
The village road lay quiet.
Rickshaw puller Tolmu was then fast sleep
On the grass by the roadside
Behind his rickshaw
Drunk from the country liquor vendor.

Some goats grazed nearby.
Cattle grazed on the stubble
In the paddy fields by the roadside,
While others stood lazily,
Enduring the cold.

At about nine,
When the sun shone, dispelling the cold,
People began to take to the roads;
Groups of students were walking to school.
Tolmu was still asleep,
Enjoying the warm sunlight.
Yet not one wondered, what had happened to him,
For they often saw such a sight there.
But his neighbor Fatima laughed quietly
As she passed by in the auto rickshaw,
Seeing him .

After some time, he waked up
And soon remembered :
He was to deliver four bushels of paddy
From the tenant farmer to the landlord
Before the latter went to the office.
But the time was late .

Broken Wing

Tackle puller I ; past diverse suffer

Light, I saw today on a stage dancer

Twirling her hands up, in air ; awake

Gazed I in tear ; for precious still be

Like no-never-other have seen alike

No motion split time no wing broke

Not one fallen step by spirit or mind

Ay, I plea what I saw was all the real

And now I flee, where she dance me
