acknowledging dreams
wherein we are limited
feeling trapped, in anguish
even though the dream ends
when we wake up from sleep
the fact is for those moments
as both subject and object
as dreamer and the dreamed
our past tendencies precipitated
the images we lived through
dying of a thousand cuts
signals we wish to suffer
for there is no one else to blame

extrapolating thus
we recognise
that save in silence
we cannot be free
of cravings of our ego

both angels and demons
are thought constructs
in truth there is no-thing
save love and light of Self

with no-thing to seek
and nothing to do
we are at peace
in singularity

though we know this
attention yet oscillates
this is our dilemma

why not then
celebrate delusion
and thus become free

dust that gathers
reminds us
of our origin
forged from elements
borrowed from earth

we thus acknowledge
accept and also negate
permanence and transience
our soul and this form
both freedom and bondage

crystallised light
as form precipitated
is the magic we have weaved
bilocating consciousness
transcendent and immanent

all is well

events precipitated
creating a ripple
causing space to sigh

discord replaced harmony
a fissure appeared
requiring healing

specious reasoning
presented by eristic ego
stifled the throb of love

the drama being enacted
impacted not the mindful monk
who never predicts outcomes

who can tell if it is time
to gentle the swaying pendulum
the hermit has no preference

Our Love Affair

The bristle of our skins,
the taste of the mouth,
the awakening of the smell,
the anticipation of pleasure

are precipitated forms
of harmonious coexistence
between the pure amalgam
and body vibration.

Reflections of dreams
Do continue here to stream
All characters manifestations
The dreamers thought projections

Thus as both dreamer and dreamed
As also all images therein beamed
There is no separate you or me
The closest truth labelled we

Within the dream enacted
Emotions that are precipitated
Reflect our instant reflex response
More oft than not deluded ego stance

Provisionally taking waking as dreaming
Moment to moment to life responding
Is presence joyous and acceptant
With narrow thoughts decadent

All other sentient beings we see
If in a dream then forms of one entity
Then where is cause for anger and strife
Our own blood flows when we wield the knife

Recognising underlying interconnectedness
We soften attention in meditativeness
Dwelling in the void of cessation
Each movie scene celebration

Neither are we bound nor liberated
Both concepts ego precipitated
Shiva’s dance in maya both conceals and reveals
Discarding limited knowing we simply feel His appeal

One within the flow devoid of resistance
Aglow with bliss and shining in innocence

Essence of earth life learning
Reality & illusion discerning
No attachment to any manifestation
Is the unwavering resolve of our meditation

Being attentive & observant
We become sentient
To desires the moment they arise
Nipping them in the bud before they rise
Meaning thereby we catch them in mid air
Such is our dexterity and unmatched flair
The desire flows, neither repressed or sublimated
Yet contained harmlessly as not yet precipitated

That state being thoughtless
In the void of no-thingness

Is where Shiva manifests!

Mud Allures Me

mud~I love the musky scent that evaporates from the moistened earth bed during downpour and also relish sailing paper boats on the puddles. It serves as a home for tiny insects and invisible bacterias.

      precipitated
      by deluge emits sweet whiff
            forms splashing puddles

Disclaimer: The special aroma that manifests in the air while rainfall is referred to as petrichor ~which actually comes from a bacteria called actinomycete that resides in dampened soil.

Out with the old; in with the new
A face from the past simply won't do
Joseph Biden's fairly melting away
Don't get ideas, Hilary
You've seen better days...

The same thing back in 2016 was true
Jeb Bush checked all the boxes then too
A moderate whose wife was Hispanic
Jeb himself spoke fluent Spanish --

His downfall precipitated by one fatal flaw
He was yet another Bush family member

The Snow Ball

The first grade students, two by two,
Marched in to our applause,
Their dressed-up outfits, top hats, too,
Gave all a smiling pause.

They danced the twist and cha cha slide,
All perfectly rehearsed,
Sang “Winter Wonderland” and “Frosty,”
Every child well-versed.

A touching sweet rendition of
“I Am Your Child” brought tears
And cotton snowballs tossed aloft
Precipitated cheers.

We watched our grandson slide and stomp,
His brand-new bow tie on
And beamed with pride while wondering
Where all the years have gone.

First grade is halfway over;
It’s been wonderful to share
Events like these and hopefully,
We always will be there.

Doris Day

Doris Day.

I had something on my mind but Doris day
keep coming in making me hum one of her songs.
There was a foul sex murder in Milan which
a man confessed to, but it was found guilty
she had precipitated in the deed and was jailed,
bet she didn’t bother to sing one of Doris Day`s
songs. Four years later they found her innocent
and set her free she hastily went back to
the USA, which was a shrewd move to a new court case
found her guilty again and can`t go back to Italy,
a shame really she after four years in prison spoke perfect Italian.
The latest I heard she was going to
Norway for her holiday, fishing for salmon I think.
I have studied her face, something about her eyes
tell me she is a psychopath, but what do I know?

she froze
her rose

his rope
his hope

his mire
desires

a flea

on leaves
he sleaze

on whims
for him

rides mule
cruel

all jive
he thrives

no love
just shove

His run
his fun

she says
today

no more
implore

no more

she walks

Note-I just withdrew this poem from contest. What precipitated
this move is that a member wrote in her comments the poem wasn't
cookie worthy. Construed or misconstrued, I didn't take kindly
to her comment. She got her wish. It's over. According to her I
need help. So be it. Tell her she won. Save to archives.

Strike Up Spark With Flint

Strike Up Spark with Flint

Who said on responsibility they skipped out?
On good water upon us did bring a drought
No doubt, somewhere must be some slander
Precipitated in politics by a Michigander.

Did you see color of water in glass
None of my tests would it ever pass;
Can tell what smell and taste may be like;
For good water have to take a hike.

What are our taxes being spent on?
Where has all our great water gone;
Well, do I have to be more adroit;
They still do have it in Detroit.

Mariaka, Love and Betrayal

~esoteric~

The story is retold with great relish
Its the great chief who precipitated
The great war by his love endeavors
Its the great chief who led us to war

The great chief loved the royal princess
Sister to Mariaka making her pregnant
Shamed for conceiving out of wedlock
She committed the abominable suicide

Mariaka was now to ascend the throne
After her beloved sister had departed
She asked for gifts from the great chief
Which great chief you delayed in bringing

Mariaka was angry at you great chief
Saddened by the loss of her elder sister
She took the advice of the malicious elders
In the war she aided the imperialist enemy

Troops of warriors from Mariaka's tribe
Aided the colonizers in fighting our people
Our own in-laws fighting us to great losses
Loss of life and the sanity of our people

Great chief you were unable make peace
And the war raged fierce in the slopes
Be my force once again.. never shall be
For great chief this time round you did it
