Usury and surplus value,
barbarity and treachery
do not adorn with love and poetry....
You know those mountaintop moments
When your spirit seems to soar,
When all the stars align just for you,
When you have all you wanted and more?
Everything you touch seems to turn to gold
And you can do nothing stupid or wrong.
Mountaintop moments make you feel like
You are invincible, immortal and strong.
They seem to come infrequently and rarely do they last,
But when they hit, they make life worth living.
In the in-between time, we long for the rush and
Thrill mountaintop moments alone will be giving.
It’s the in-between time where we live out most of our days.
Struggling, straining, worrying, working to align our stars.
Some have come to understand there are better ways.
Alignment can be manifested through focused thought and prayers.
You can learn to flow with Lifes River, easily carrying you downstream,
No need to fight against the swirling currents, memories of your past.
In-between moments can be raised to perfection.
Peace and happiness lived daily, create mountaintop moments that last.

NOTHING MISSING, NOTHING BROKEN
With your head, roll out drums,
Mighty trumpets in their stead,
And like Eagles soar higher in the sky,
The skies of your mind,
Do not crumble on vain things,
And do not hijack your fights_
From within.....
Never you nurse or nature,
Thoughts of negatives
But like the lion, swim in positives
For the whole essence of life,
Is synonymous to dire softness.
For the Knower squeezes,
The oozing chant in her hue,
While the plangent solo dies
The strange strength of a fish,
Lies in its tender thoughts.
Make your thoughts tender,
For all is but a staged drama,
And sooner, we may leave.
As I tender to you
This tender foliage wand;
Undress these emotions,
Negative tongues waxing
In a pillock of confusion...
So, let’s zhuzh up our thoughts,
In this torrid and bogart spheres;
As I reverberate yet again,
Nothing missing, nothing broken.
Finally, I wave you all, shalom!
The news these days is all about depression, upset and stress,
Some people feel like their lives are such a mess,
I guess I am a lucky one, I don't often get down or really blue,
I am able to turn my mind to see everything in a brighter hue,
Some try using a coping mechanism,
Where I guess I see things through a different prism,
On the nights when I just can't sleep,
I don't waste my time by trying to count sheep,
I think of loved ones and have a gentle talk,
Then imagine I am going for a summer hazed walk.
I could see,
Amidst the shadows swimming in our murky waters
The many different forms of goodness
That humanity could adorn itself of
These took the names of values, of good habits,
Of good intentions and of meritorious acts
So much that I chose to focus my attention solely on these
Stubbornly refusing to believe that shadows
Could someday
Win and take over the world!
And lifting up my little finger,
I imbibed myself of this goodness
That this world had to offer
Hoping,
Someday, to share it with the rest of the humans
So as to make them believe
In the positive notes that this world could vibe with!
Positive Thinking
Haiku: by Miracle Man

My vision of self
is what one day I became.
I saw My value.
It’s all in your mind and your views!
You really are the one to choose.
So do wear mind-positive shoes.
Have the great dream, that eagles’view.
Listen to music and great news.
No need to muck about, so unglued.
Create happiness, not the blues.
Share your joy with many others, too.
Cherish that most wonderful you!

I
Newtown, South Africa, may inspire some day
Through this time here, I must turn senses away
From adults sending kids to buy "loose smokes"
And even ears from women cussing moms, sex jokes!
II
For inspiration, I must remember to look up also
Clouds always yield forms, names, games galore
And away from plastics, pollution ... naturally
Trash trucks come each Wednesday; ignored outstandingly
III
To each clump of Acacia; hail beaten patch of cacti;
Sole tree that comorants dry their wings on, daily
And note how Nature, Life, does not quit ... growing
As we must: quiet lotuses in fens with slime ... flowing
A miracle isn't just a bizarre fluke
in fact, it's present anywhere we look:
It's our enfeebled earth welcoming the sun,
although a searing touch is something to shun
It is the air awake no matter the bruises from pollution,
as well as the streams without termination
The trees smugly outstretched and unperturbed,
although their tidy canopy has been greedily disturbed
It is the impetus of time's valor to evolve,
despite conditions that seem unresolved
They are the praises and prayers we instantly utter,
and our compassion freely given while we silently suffer
They are the uninterrupted moments we're able to live,
as well as the small victories we achieve
Your miracle isn't like a craved leisure outdoors,
it can be the success in mastering your intimidating chores
Above all, it is knowing there's no limit to how we thrive,
that after being lost and barely surviving we are still found alive

The Power Of Positive Thinking
Haiku: by Tom
2/18/2021
We can’t choose what comes,
but we can choose our response,
so think positive.
I talk a lot regarding positive thinking
and of the healing arts
how I believe people should be linking
their conceptual hearts
The truth is that I struggle
with this everyday
I tell myself to juggle
and for these thoughts to back away
With words I console myself
then fight what I have said
in my lines I haven't been myself
there's confusion in my head
I wanted to come clean with you
though I'm not a hypocrite
at least you recognize now what I do
now let these words to sit
That day I was in a call with school friends
They told me of the psycho cat’s demise.
Eerie boardwalk creaks near the white sand beach.
Everytime someone keeps foot on it
They told they had lost all hopes and crushed their
Sabbatical dreams after quarantine.
I am forced to buy cheap wine said one friend
I ensure nobody knows about it
The label I hide on the wine bottle.
Things were bad and worsening day by day
That was the last straw to break camels back
Why can't people be positive, happy
All of them were well off with no problem
Life is so short and unpredictable
is it not stupidity to be sad?

I Search my Heart
Arising renewed I went from the light to sad blue
The first day of sixty-five, I feel it all true
So I go to my muse, of waves rhythmic dance
Being careful to note where my thoughts did glance
I search in my heart as I walk the beach line
I'm yearning for lovers to make me feel fine
I think and I feel that maybe I'm wrong
Because some of you really make me belong
There are two sides for each possible action
Mine not the only thoughts or reaction
Held with new vision that sweeps me aloft
My grace to own a landing so soft.
keeping the waters of thoughts pure – rally to shore peaceful pebbles
