What did I take away
from summer camp?

Not COVID
this year,
nor the clap
of one hand ringing.

But, instead
a more resilient health
of authentic sacred wealth

TransFormative dance
singing integrity's great
synergetic
bromance.

Polyphonic men
mind and body embracing
polypathic gods
re-imaging polytheistic goddesses
engaging all us in-between
communal transubstantiations.

My own spirited mind
and strong natured body
transition
has not been solely limited by Others'
lack of win/win imagination

But also,
perhaps primarily
and primally,
by my own
win straight mind
lose ***** body
trauma story,
His-poled v Her-holed history

Mind blaming
and body shaming
Left hemisphere's lack
of co-passioned pleasuring
Right-now transcendent
peak co-empathic mystery

More resiliently inquiring--
What transformative longing
does bromance take away
from summer's sacred belonging
mind and body camp?

Premium MemberSkiing

Skiing steep sloped slaloms one snowy week,
Knowing my courses from every stark peak.
In whiteouts of bitter blizzards bleak
Which lacked hazards to frighten me to freak.
Nothing was too risky to stop my streak,
Getting ski heroes poled into a creek.

With Gold Remain Bold

Remember you were told
To always remain bold
While walking the Path of Gold;
To not let self be down rolled
But the Yellowish Thing hold…
Gold mere blacksmiths would remold
And by simple jewelers controlled.

So, never before Gold
Accept that you’re old
Nor shiver like The Cold
Nor like Autumnal Leaves fold
A just alerted cuckold!

To have a boat poled
To a good length
From no glittering Gold
Comes the strength.

Shafted

Bobby Aiken was proud to be Scotch.
As a pole-vaulter he was top-notch.
But on one faulty try
he became a soprano guy,
having been poled crack-on in the crotch.

Eternal granite, crystalline scree, agates, boulders, rise
to hills, towering tors,* mutinous mountains, endlessly growing
rising, lifted, then toppled by the fiery rebirth of draconic lava**

Like the cracked shell of an avian egg***/ **** both molten yolk
and watery albumen mark the passage of time, the swings
of the multiverse, they pacify Charon’s passage on the Styx

Seen and unseen the arched openings spiral, poled in ten
dimensions by exigent mathematical quandaries, branching
boles boldly rooting in islands of primordial I, chained

screeching***** shadows infer larger beings who manhandle
the infinite construct of finite man

*Alliteration Repetition of consonant sounds [
** Hyperbole A figure of speech involving exaggeration.
*** Assonance The repetition of similar vowel sounds [A vian, A gg]
**** Simile A figure of speech involving a comparison between unlike
things using like, as, or as though.
*****Onomatopoeia a word that imitates the sound it represents

Ronald Reagan: So Long Cowboy

Fold your tent now
Cowboy, the prairie sunset has come
Pull the hat low
Over the silent brow, let the horse go home
Without saddle,
It's round up time for you, the trail is done.
Bit and bridle;
O let it go free, and feel the weightless
World runs with it,
Put the branding iron down, blow out the sun;
The mind's habit
Shutting out the endless tedium and stress
Now can reclaim
The dignity that future-centered men
Denied; the fame
Past-centered men recalled and softly blend
With their own hopes;
And none but the dead ever realized.
Roll up the ropes
The cowboy no more rides, or seek the prize.
Rustlers die fast
Cowboys live long, lariat looping ferile glory;
Rodeo past,
The poled hat and belt tell all the final story.

Vicarious Mold

Hewn with story untold
Towering mass cut then rolled
Bared, stripped leaving majestic mold
Surrounded with ringed truths manifold
Cored, its residual value poled
Branchless foil whose tender hath been sold
Slighted twig, limb but unvarnished dome not doled
On its base remaining premium scrolled
Trite, sentimental heirloom pared bold
Statuesque sentinal in sylvan fold
Subletted perch, ant stronghold
Milled by termites hundredfold
For weary travelers a foothold
Scortched by fire; its hearth roiled
Yet, remaining viable hostel in tenuous wold
Vulcanized, its pure essence remains for all to behold
