Play It Cool
A Cool Demeanor
Is A Novelty Form
Of Conformity.
*
Oh, I Forget, You
All Don't Hate That
Dread
Conformity Like
I've Been Forced
To Do.
Doodily-Doo.
Not Forced.
I'll Think About It Later!
*
I Haven't Been Normal
Since My Teacher
Demanded I Put Things In
My Own Words.
I'm Still Not Sure
What That Means.
NOT Gibberish.
I Just Pull A
Few Levers And
Hope For The Best.
Wahoo! Let's Take This
Uhhhh... Gfdhg Ride.
*
I Make Sure To Make Sure To:
Don't Get Too Many
Detailed Ideas From
Anywhere Else...
Just The Gist.
Then Let It Roll
Out Slow.
Stay In Flux.
*
I Don't Know...
Why Hate All The
Alternatives Of Con-
Form-ity?
Dumb Trick.
How Do You Stay Impressed
And Always Amazed
With Random New-Found
Wonder If You Do?
*
I Can't Pay Attention
And Conform At The
Same Time.
It's Probably Just
A Convenience Again
And Everybody Else Is
Fine With It.
*
Cool With It,
I Mean.

Beware of the albatross, under radar he flies.' If he gets
To a neck hold? I say' kiss your 'foi gras' goodbye.!
Forget about co-ahesion, play it cool with your hand.'
Now you're clear of the wilderness, keep your counsel
Private, stay ever oh so slightly un-planned.'
I'm just an innocent kid,
who always got straight A's.
I didn't mean it, what I did.
I'll go to jail one day.
I think I killed Grandma.
We went riding on a sleigh,
made a gingerbread city,
and danced the Nutcracker ballet.
What a dreadful pity -
I think I killed Grandma.
They'll know my identity;
with one day to play it cool,
I'll finish my gingerbread,
then turn myself in at school.
I think I killed Grandma.
Oh, I'm in trouble, deep.
Wait, she's up! Hurray!
She wasn't dead, just asleep.
Hey, Grandma, let's play!
Oops, I think I killed Grandma.
You have blocked yourself as well
Not just only me
Take your time, I’m sure it tells
More than you can see
And that troubled person who
Liked to give advice
May have find another true
Lover to surprise
Possibly you think this way
Trashing me to bits
And I don’t know what to say
Cause I lack the wits
I would rather be a rat
Digging in your soil
But you blocked yourself from that
Personal turmoil
I would rather be unborn
In this cruel world
But I’m here to be torned
By your loving word
You have pulled a winning ticket
In the lottery of chances
And my ticket was a wicked
Gallery of circumstances
Queen of spades can’t play it cool
In the game of hearts
And whatever does the fool
He will fall apart
Problem is, life carries on
Gives another great last chance
Not to miss the prudish tone
And cartoonish arrogance
Now your time will never tell
What it tells for me
Cause you blocked yourself as well
From my company.
You, Yes you!
Who you truly are?
What your true desires are?
What fear do you hold in you?
Let your words be you
when you speak.
Whatever you do
Don't pretend you're not you!
Just be you and play it cool.
No one can be you and
You can't be anyone either!
Only you can be you.
By being you, Yes You!
You will find more success
And never have to worry
about what you confess.
Don't go pretending to be someone
That is who you are not.
The real you is the one
Who you should let people see.
Love who you are and
Do what you love.
If others don't like the way
You are; Why do you care?
You, Yes You!
Are bright and beautiful
Just the way you are!
You are uniquely you...
August, thou art not so kind
As the sweet soiree of May or June
You lack the patience that I find
In September’s hearty harvest moon
August, how you burn me so
While December’s embers play it cool
July can’t even spurn me so
And April’s yet a showered, flowered fool
August, thou art not so harsh
As the icy jaws of January
Warmer still than windy March
Or the frosty fangs of February.
Have a clove
Trace a tattoo
Some of the things
I hope that you'll do
With me and to me
Baring my arm
Feeling your touch
Loving your charm
Butterflies flitting
From my point of view
Inside my stomach
I'm tingling too
Your fingers caressing
My nerves set ablaze
Alive in my senses
Locked in your gaze
Reign in the horses
Keep them in school
Easy there cowboy
Just play it cool
Q: You sure like her, don't you?
A: She makes my blood flow
Q: She's beautiful isn't she?
A: Oh boy, is she so!
Love and trust

You say "I love you"
But I don't feel your emotions
The words sound trite
Completely hollow
All your sweet words
Mean nothing without action
Time to make an effort
If this is a relationship
For love is what we do
Not only what we say
We can't just play a role
That looks good to anyone
I love you, I miss you
I care for you, I do
But it does truly hurt
When you play it cool
This space grows between us
Emotional distance with time
If we can't be authentic
How can our actions match our lines?
If we love each other
We need to reveal the truth
Be willing to act with faith
Be willing to thought of a fool
True love is rare and precious
We need to treat it with respect
Love and trust with our hearts
Light and hope to our souls invested

With knees deep in ice.
I keep deep in cold.
I was born lucky, am nice.
With dope I uphold.
You can't fool me twice,
But if you do, I play it cool.
With time you pay the price.
I can never call you a fool.
I was born into patience.
All I know is love.
I live each day with a difference.
Am still trying to evolve.
I am hard to love, I know.
Am equally hard to let go.
But I ain't too dumb to know.
That you reap what you sow as you go.
I put family first
For they are my everything.
I have issues with trust.
I hate breaking.
She is 26 and I'm 36
Yet she makes me feel like we are two generations apart
With the fire in her loins and the magic in her waist
She has a smart mouth
And a spirit for the road
She wants to fly, I'ld rather rest
She wants the music loud and bubbling, I'ld rather play it cool and listen to jazz
She wants to touch and kiss in the theatre, I'ld rather hold hands and whisper sweet nothings
I am losing her, it is been 1 week since we last spoke
When she moved her things and said she was going to find the other life, a man for her time and season
I looked on with total abandon for no matter how much I loved her, I could never be man for the other life...
She is 26, I'm 36, we are same generation, just worlds apart in our views of life and love
The meaning of “love” can be defined in many ways
Could mean: “eating” or “fishing” or downing some “maize”
So don't be fooled
Just play it cool
Ask her for a definition so you aren't led astray
Sometimes we struggle with emotions cluttering our head
We often say things that we do not mean
And regret the hurtful things that we said.
Sometimes we become unsure of what we desire
We often convince ourselves that we don’t care
While knowing inside that we are a liar.
Sometimes we are unable to find the courage to tell someone what we are holding onto inside
We often are too afraid of rejection
And we never know because we never tried.
Sometimes those we long for do not feel the same
We often try to play it cool
Playing a stupid game
Sometimes pride prevents us from admitting we’re wrong
We often refuse to own up to our faults
Even when we knew we were to blame all along
Sometimes we love but we love all alone
We often have our hearts stolen
But the thief had never known
Sometimes we walk away wanting to hold on
We often have to smile underneath our tears
And hide the hurt when they are gone
Sometimes we fall in love at first sight
We often never get to tell them
So, Im telling you tonight
Angry people aren't nice, makes sense if you have a big nose
Must be an even-keeled individual to stay on your toes
Play it cool like me
Be a more relaxed thee
But okay to be angry if you can't find your hose I suppose
The meaning of “love” can be defined many ways
Could mean: “eating” or “fishing” or downing some “maize”
So don't be fooled
Just play it cool
Ask her for a definition so you aren't led astray
Angry people are not very nice, so the saying goes
Must be an even keeled individual to stay on your toes
Play it cool like me
Be a more relaxed thee
But it's okay to be angry if you can't find your clothes
