The Difference In Love
She is 26 and I'm 36
Yet she makes me feel like we are two generations apart
With the fire in her loins and the magic in her waist
She has a smart mouth
And a spirit for the road
She wants to fly, I'ld rather rest
She wants the music loud and bubbling, I'ld rather play it cool and listen to jazz
She wants to touch and kiss in the theatre, I'ld rather hold hands and whisper sweet nothings
I am losing her, it is been 1 week since we last spoke
When she moved her things and said she was going to find the other life, a man for her time and season
I looked on with total abandon for no matter how much I loved her, I could never be man for the other life...
She is 26, I'm 36, we are same generation, just worlds apart in our views of life and love
