Let me tell you what I know
about Piet Mondrian and Mark Rothko,
two painters so rectangular and square,
you'd swear there is no life there,
till you look with a little more precision,
a little bit more care.

Getting the Get

Poem by: Piet Mashele
                  2sides

Titled : getting the get

This is the same mindset that has to be on! for a couple of days,
If you in your head its a hustle and it hurts you to wake up with a smile then Sir pony boy the bank will settle your print outs with exactly! what you give out!

Sigh of relief is to get fired up and down
So that when they clear their throats! they know ,you were only getting the get across.

She Said

Poem by: Piet Mashele
                    2sides

Title: she said....

She directly said, protect me
Like how wetly you get for your Bentley
Hold me so gently
For when you accept me
It will exactly be about
How you met me...
And she said let me
Let the blessed me
Empty the belly of your worries
So do not be in a hurry
To sing to how sexy I'm
Especially when you
Expect me not to be attached
To this strange feeling
That fairly kept me
On my toes
For this heart knows how to bulldoze
These shadows that are there to slow down
My heart beat
My blood knows its own flows
It allows me to grow to another direction
With total perfection
She sat and said...
Let me grow inside of you
So that when u breath for both us
You will know that I said let m be yours
So she said...

Touchdown

Poem by :Piet Mphahlele Mashele
                  2sides

Titled: Touchdown

Touch down, keep in touch
Calm down to this feeling
Call down all that you are....
For when your life its on
Count down
You can know what to write down...

Touch down on the spot
This thought has bought me
Under this jackpot feeling
Am kneeling on my kneez
Stealing this last squeezed broadcast
Weather forecast
To put all these thoughts at ease
Because those who are harassed by it
Are glassed very fast under wonder

Touchdown
Down town
Crowns are given
To those who slay better
And it boils down to how clowns
Can turn coldness nights
Into.....touch down snapshot we appeal to....
Its touchdown before sundown
Make your mark..

Premium Member Virgin Snow

Virgin snow,
like idle perfection,
exists too short a time
for eternity to reckon.
So instead of standing still
take a step in any direction.
   A left, then a right,
   and a left yet again.
The prints in the snow
will tell exactly where you've been.
There's more to thee
than meets the eye
I shall warrant.
Much more akin to a canvas
lying dormant.
  As eternity is reckoned:
who has time for idleness?
To let waste such un-noted potential?
A wise man once said,
"There's a lifetime in a second
and each precious second is essential!"

NOTE: I was inspired by the Danish poet, Piet Hein, inventor of the Grook form of poetry. The particular poem goes like this...

As eternity
is reckoned
there's a lifetime
in a second.

Do a Google search and check him out. You WON'T be disappointed.

Premium Member My Ode To the Netherlands

Hook of Holland arrive by the ferry
Meeting our good friends Ans and Jerry
The pancake house is where we love to eat
Being our with our Dutch friends – what a treat

Zwarte Piet will be visiting soon
Children crowded into the living room
Waiting for the black hand around the door
Sweets are freely scattered on to the floor

Visiting the haunting Anne Frank museum
Makes me think of the phrase carpe diem
Walking along the stunning cobbled street
Our trip to Amsterdam is now complete

I would love to return again one day
Meet Elly Wouterse on lands far away
