I- Independence, freedom, yes. poets Toptomists, fight for thee?
S-Silencing any poetic voice, is like  a heart gnawed to pieces by ticks,
T-Terror is only a dictator’s trick, dressed in righteousness,with no glow!

not dead yet

if it were up to me
i wouldn't be here.

i would have left
a long time ago.

but others expect things of me.
things that i have to do.

and so i do them.
and i'm not dead yet.

from the minute we are born,
we are treated like clay.

carefully handled, 
molded by the hands
of each person we come
in contact with.

so i'm sorry that i can't
undo the dents and imperfections
but they aren't my fault.

blame the girls who made me feel
useless.

blame the guys who made me feel
unlovable.

blame the teachers who made me feel like a 
failure.

but i'm not dead yet.

i keep pushing, persevering,
praying.

praying that someone will see the
strain in my smile.

the way my leg shakes
under the desk.

the way i pick at my fingernail beds
the way i pull out my hair
the way i hold the knife to my skin.

i pray.
and i pray.

no one ever helps.
no one ever comes.
but i'm not dead yet.

and you can thank me for that.

It's simply just to fall-in-love
With Truth, life and to trust.
It's The Essence; the core to the crust
"But I don't understand!" you say
"What would be the cost to pay?"
With just a glimpse of happiness in you
Authenticity: be faithful and true,
Like fireworks bursting in air
Reveals The Essence: That we care!
Life and changes are hard.
But Fight regrets and fear retard.
Be on an expert and responsible team
Persevering, sharing God's dream
Like a child inquisitive,
Learning, initiating and sensitive.
The Essence is also like a mother
Jumping up to help another,
Being sweet, kind and genuinely YOU,
Making others better too,
Bringing out the Best, no doubt
With no time to "chicken-out"!
So, live in the Essence
By your heart, in every sense,
Sophisticated, elaborate and extravagant!
Covering over us God's Love is bent.
You will see a new and better plan, 
If only to be still and listen, you can?

My Life

At times I feel like my life began at 21
I, of course, didn't know then what I know now.
The years from there have not been easy
However God knows my heart
If my reality is what it actually is
It was premeditated right from the start.
Sometimes I feel like so much has happened 
I, of course, cannot look back
The beauty of life is to keep persevering 
Understanding God does everything for your good 
And this I know is a real fact.

You Have No Limits

“You can be anything you choose,” commencement speakers say.
“Your journey starts today. By persevering, you can’t lose!”
The graduates and audience all nod and smile and clap.
Some want to take a nap, but jabbing elbows interfere. 
Conclusion: “Limits don’t exist unless they’re self-imposed!”

PRIDE'S COLONIZATION

Colonized by pride
Admonished against downfall pain
My heart agonizes --- finding love's freedom...

Persevering to be liberated from gripping arrogance
Mind of paradigm-shift takes a look at this warning sign
“Beware of a lurking great fatal stride.”

While admitting angst as a boastful prisoner
In meekness, I seek divine guidance midst prayer...
Conquering vain haughtiness, smitten by grace and mercy.

Midst sobriety, I repent from projecting false humility
Hiding shaky fortitude upon timidity’s pretense
With faith in God* of triumphant bliss, marked by grateful praise.

The Price of Delayed Gratification

The price of delayed gratification 

In the currency of patience, we pay the toll,
For the price of delayed gratification takes its toll.
We sacrifice the present for a distant gain,
Enduring hardship, persevering through pain.

In the quiet moments, when doubts arise,
We question the worth, we analyze.
Yet in the heart's chambers, a whisper persists,
That delayed gratification, in the end, insists.

We sow the seeds and tend the soil,
Watered by perseverance, despite the toil.
For in the harvest season, we reap the reward,
The fruits of patience, richly stored.

Though the waiting may seem endless and long,
In the tapestry of time, our efforts belong.
For delayed gratification, though it demands much,
Yields treasures of resilience, character, and such.

So let us embrace the journey, though it may be slow,
For the price of delayed gratification, we come to know.
In the discipline of waiting, we find our strength,
And in the end, the rewards will exceed the length.

All of Life's Roadblocks

A mountain of any height;
  Roadblocks that life hurl your way,
Plow through them and forge ahead.

Heavenly Hash flavored ice cream
Ice cold in a big blue bowl
Plop on top of fudge brownie
So hot it melts like gold

Watching the furry gray geese
Parade their fluffy chicks
So small yet a big deed
Bird watching for fun of it

Walking in forest with white waterfall
Smelling green trees as I do
Finding the animals who know it all
All good things to eat for food

Singing a song with the words wrong
Happy for yellow melody
Dancing so long with left feet on
With tan lover a king to me.

Living my life a simple way
Drunk on poems magical music
Despite the nights I find trying
Persevering in lavender life to choose it.

Your eyes are shining embers,
Beckoning the ones,
Lost in storm of life sea.
Persevering the sabotages,
Turmoil brewing,
But they ignore me,
Why are you so repulsed ,
At the sight of me?
Am I that ugly?

Your hands are strong
Upholding the beacon
With mighty determination 
So why do they withdraw
When I am crying
At your feet?
Why are you so repulsed ,

Your voice is the sound that rings
All the time in my mind
Bitter but soft
But why don't they ever
Spell the name of me?

I drift, I splash,
I collide,I collapse,
Just for one solce,

You are just repulsed ,
At the sight of me
I am that ugly .

Letter To My Mother

Dear Mom, It’s hard to think of things to say
about you that already you don’t know.
The ways you worked hard each and every day
and sacrifices made so we’d all grow
with good things that in life would see us through.
You took us all to church so right from wrong
we’d realize and know that God is true.
Because of trials, also we grew strong
because you’ve been a model to us all
of persevering when things go awry.
I know how you suffered when you were small.
Your self-esteem was low, yet still you’d try
to break away though you endured much strife.
Thanks, Mom; for this we had a decent life.
