It's often said that time flies like the wind
If not used, it's something we can't rescind
Father Time is quite old
His hands we cannot hold
His incessant movement leaves us chagrined
The annoying sound of his tick-tocking
is tiresome in the language of clocking
His pendulum tongue
swings but it should be wrung
for it seems to be wagging and mocking
I wonder why he never seems to age
Perhaps he could be convinced to assuage
Or I'll take him apart
Drop him off at Walmart
Better yet, I'll murder him in a rage

Within the subtle soundless silence
There exist echoes of a lingering loud
My pendulous heart decrees in defiance
Such emotions plundered and ploughed
Like a geocentric giant guillotine
My lamenting love sacrificially sliced
My soul slaved in the Enigma machine
Where dreams are deceptively diced
The loving light battles the darkest day
And sorrows surrender at portals gate
For love barely escapes the submissive sway
Marauding memories reminisce and recreate
Stained surreal abiding accumulative art
A priceless painting of my Pendulous Heart.

Pendulous abdomen.
The term used for
those women who
bear multiple children.
Too many, too soon.
No time for tummy
to reconcile, recoil.
Back into shape.
And so it swings.
Often times limbs are
visable under skin.
Tight like a drum.
Irish Mum.
No contraception
allowed. Poor thing.
Must let it swing.
Pendulous abdomen.

I want to break free
from the bounds of your smothering love
and the conforms of this life
I want to break free
from molding to the path you take
and your presumptions of me
I want to break free
from the facade of demureness
and sprint for insolent gratification
I want to break free
from the shackles of our vows
and diffuse into the mists of solitude
I want to break free
from the cage of this marriage
and plummet from the pedestal you have placed me on
I want to break free
from the norms of the family
and delve into the depths of quiescence
With the four words you said,
Honey, I'm home,
Your voice drifts into my ears
jolting me from the slumber of trechery
leading me away from the precipitous cliff
to a serene meadow, our meadow, our home
I laugh at the wild swings of my pendulous mind,
as I uncover the roots of our endearment
Ending my eternal wanderings
forever I am glad to be with you,
Honey, I'm home too!

Consciouness finds me and jerks me awake.
In a dusky dank cell closed in and opaque.
No circulation, my hands were bound!
My legs were tied, I couldn't move around!
My pulse takes on unbearable beat.
My mind is playing tricks, and then evilly repeats!
Swish, swish, came a hideous sound.
Closer and closer it creeps rendering me spellbound.
My skin crawls in the sweltering torridity.
The murky cell is horribly sooty.
Swish, swish; it slowly descends.
Eyes entranced, on a swinging pendulum.
Swish, swish it cuts off my shrill..
Whoosh, whoosh it contrives its kill.
The horrific night bargins with death.
I woke up startled and couldn't take a breath.
Finally, taking in my familiar surroundings.
I ponder on what, I was just dreaming.
