Pendulous Abdomen

Pendulous abdomen.
The term used for
those women who
bear multiple children.

Too many, too soon.
No time for tummy
to reconcile, recoil.
Back into shape.

And so it swings.
Often times limbs are
visable under skin.
Tight like a drum.

Irish Mum.
No contraception
allowed. Poor thing.
Must let it swing.

Pendulous abdomen.

I have four myself but spaced out enough for me to bounce back. ; ) Jean Murray May 19, 2017 at 5:54 PM My three were precision planned Connie, three years apart. I started of as an "elderly primagravida" (first time mother) at thirty. Nowadays, that term would apply to a forty year old.

But in the past here, with contraception banned, families of ten children were commonplace. A close friend of mine is the youngest of twelve.
