Of that body part men activate
to urinate or procreate –
as the case or need may be –
it’s clinical terminology
is still considered by many
as off limits in polite society
whereas its vulgar substitutes
still more than ever constitute
the norm, though by the puritanical
are condemned as inexcusable.
And, therefore, to circumvent
their use and avoid embarrassment
they’ve been discreetly sanitized
and inoffensively euphemized
or camouflaged, whichever term
will spare you to least squirm –
like peepee, whatchamacallit,
skin faucet, little man, or whatsit.
Whereas using even the proper
or vulgar words will cause a shudder
leading to outbreaks of friction
by those who abhor such diction.
Even a French menu word like “coq”
(rooster, as in “coq au vin”) will shock,
and unless it’s correctly vocalized,
please leave that one unanglicized!

Long-range forecasts
predict outbreaks of pretty weather girls.
In the event of short-range predictions,
some ugly guy may be substituted.
In the case of an emergency,
mice may seek the sheltering wings
of owls and hawks.
By midnight, the total destruction
of garden gnomes is anticipated.
Survivors are asked to remain
in their bathtubs
until absolutely clean.

And in the middle
Of my chaos,
Was you..
You were the eye of the raging storm,
The tranquility with soft lullabies and soft caresses.
You were the one that calmed me,
Despite the thunderstorm outbreaks, or the tidal waves that crashed against you,
You stood by me,
The brick wall I never could break,
Couldn’t hurt.
But now,
Now I see what I’ve done,
All the pain and agony i’ve caused you.
I never wanted to hurt you,
But you seemed so strong,
I couldn’t resist but try and break you with my pain,
With my sorrow, with my guilt.
I threw my mistakes at you
like it was a ball soaring through the air,
The mistakes unnoticeable until you really dug in.
I didn’t know, and I still don’t.
I wish I didn’t make the mistakes I did, so you could see me as a better person,
But I’ve been through trial and error,
Though it’s not an excuse.
I know I can’t be forgiven easily,
If ever.
But if there is ever a chance,
Please believe me when I say,
I at least now know,
I’m sorry.

Again, he broke when the gate bell was still clanging,
then took off so fast... to the reins I was left hanging.
He's wearing a goofy smile that says, "I'm so proud,"
but he's forgotten just one thing... for crying out loud!
I have to be in the saddle when crossing the finish line!
That's a concept totally lost on this headstrong equine.
Flashing Ghost has always been as stubborn as a mule
but I keep taking the mount, so that makes me a fool.
Oh yeah, he's determined to always break out on top,
But when he outbreaks me, I can't yell at him, "Stop!"
I would end up crumpled on the track, lying in the grass,
or diving head-first up the crack of this white horse's ass.
Ghost should be retired from racing and used as a stud.
He'd be more valuable, but as a racehorse, he's a dud.
He flies out of the gate but is a jockey's worst nightmare.
I swear, I won't ride him again, even on a double dare!

Renascence
Dilapidated bulges bore in vain,
Counterproductive methods confirmed risk,
Drawing boards experienced once again,
Twilight oils burn onward past midnight's brisk.
The regeneration of the dormant,
The sedentary rejuvenated,
Characters clash excellent performant,
Old guards revised and emancipated.
The abandoned surrender willingly,
Causation of being its impetus,
The change serves its purpose meaningfully,
Portal outbreaks fictions of stimulus.
Energies perform on high Pegasus,
Directives laid down eyes regenesis.

Unadulterated social illness
follows outbreaks of mental mania.
We stagger after each crazy outbreak
make firm resolutions and plans
nothing helps.
Causes are multifactual, faceted,
it's all very complex and multi-actual.
Psychotic instances bloom
some are dead by noon.
Pontificating politicians
bark impolite, condemn
and castigate
but it all has the feeling
of being far too late.
America has blown its brains out;
death is getting old
some are looking for the gun,
some reload.

Fact Or Fool Who be You
I have seen
fools ranting
what's up Pink Floyd
No thinkers, no education
only poets with muse and frustration
The deniers of science
are committing massive crimes
jail should be their only pudding
sadly Covid takes many of them away
I have no sympathy for their ignorant play
the only ones bouncing in their beds
are the scientists
angry that such ignorance spreads
it's always the morons who resist
why do people carry such hate?
to tell lie upon lie upon loathing lie
letting thousands more in pain die
the penitentiary should be their fate
American prejudice has failed us
funding is ever lacking
Teachers who know not what's cracking
No wonder fools get away with the fuss
Science does not cover up
it only learns, adapts and that's a must
over six billion vaccines
thousands of doctors have over seen
The outbreaks now you see
are the unvaxxed injected with stupidity
they blame all the immigrants
hatred always blames the outsider
All in all, stupidity is never very tall

Just a few things that I do hunger for
When the sun... bakes
When the snow... flakes
Scenic... breath takes
I just adore
Vanilla... milkshakes
Sprinkled... cupcakes
Boating... on lakes
Just a few more
Just a few things that I don't hunger for
Virus... outbreaks
Sneaky people... snakes
Aging body... aches
That make me feel sore
Under-covered… fakes
Trembling... earthquakes
All my... mistakes
Out the door
I don't hunger for... anyone to fall
I do hunger for... happiness for all

Life is fragile
Live love agile
Life funds outbreaks
Live each mistake
Life is simple
Live each dimple
Life knows error
Live each terror
Life fears fumble
Live each tumble
Life seems fancy
Live with plenty
Life sculpts seasons
Live each reason
Life floods wealthy
Live love healthy
Life prompts beauty
Live most truly
Life needs nothing
Live for something

Hints not taken from countless missed calls,
and no replies to tons of texts.
Still she searches through social media clues,
pursuing like a hunter,
pondering why his green light illuminates.
Investigating google's archives,
she claims to be his number one fan.
She knows the clothes he wears
and the places where he eats.
Downloading images does not crave her fascination.
She follows him like the moon.
Lurking..
Standing at corners, hidden in alleys.
Her binocular eyes preying on him.
He can feel her watching silently.
Hear her obsessive deep breaths,
ensuing his every step.
The sight of her eerie image
is like a million beetles,
crawling under his skin,
driving him insane - controlling his mind.
Her nauseating voice leads to nervous sensations
with outbreaks of panicky perspiration.
His stomach tightens and heart beats violently.
His eyes glare in shock, his body seems frozen.
and all she can say is;
" I do it because I love you!"

This morning, I was thinking about global warming and the high probability of flooding in the state of Florida, and out of control wildfires in the western states, and the extinction of certain animals and plants, and new infectious disease outbreaks that will cause my fellow humans to spend a lot of money to increase their ages before death, and I wondered about the cost of air conditioning for our dwellings, and became both concerned and confused about why some of our world leaders seemed to be ignoring the reality of climate change on this planet we call Earth?
Then I calculated that in eighty-three years it will be the year 2100, and I’d be 156 years old if I were still alive and ready to eat breakfast before nine in the morning. Then I thought my youngest granddaughter would be ninety-five so her children’s children would be the ones having to figure out how to live on a planet that didn’t have a lot of edible food or a lot of technology that still worked in the darkness of night, and that people would no longer be allowed to have any dogs or cats as family pets.
