Let one thousand flowers bloom
But choose one to your liking
What a beautiful watercolor loom
Where we can intertwine our lightning
The sepals must unfurl subtly
(then supplely) handle the pistil (Ahh!)
Stigma, style, pollen so lovely
Connecting anther and stamen by fistula
We are told to talk lovingly
to our plants, no trashing
I want to bee above this flower hovering
And give a good tongue lashing
Then I’ll bump a daisy
And for her garden an Arum Titan
Flowers blooming and nothings hazy
As we sail on to the horizon

Each time I saw you faint,
I filled colours of my paint.
Oneday I found you fade,
To my surprise my colours didn't match your shade.
I was searching for paint brushes,
Without realising I was made out of the rushes.
I was busy taking those pain,
That was about to go in vain.
Was going on self competing,
Without realising you were just pretending.
I was stupid, trying for perfection,
Should have got ready for rejection.
I was speed dropping from my dreamy skies,
And you were that gravity and reason behind all my cries.
I pardon my heart to make it feel bad,
As for no reason it was stabbed quite hard.
I wasn't hurt once, twice or thrice,
Darling, you have just made the score one thousand times.

Goal Reached ~One Thousand Poems
Dropping by with a bottle of champagne.
Hoping you don't mind if I come in from the rain?
Wanted to thank my small, but grand group of followers.
I give each of you a bouquet of gorgeous, fragrant flowers.
I wanted to reach the goal of 1000 poems tonight.
And, I tell you doing that was both murder and delight
I realized, too, my poetry is never one-liners.
I won't apolize, here, just think a little longer is finer!
And also, three cheers to PS Administration
They do a great job~without them, how could we
communicate in such poetic perfection?
Remember the day you first came here?
So, do have some bubbly and to all, three Grand Cheers!
With love and respect

One Thousand Goodbyes
Years ago
a stranger became a friend
with little time left
she let me into her reflections
her child and husband dead
tragedy would strike again
her time on earth
would expire soon
her empty heart to be filled
in the heavens
she showed and told
her last wishes to me
a thousand poems
she wanted to leave behind
I think she made it
I never found out
angels stole her
On this somber Sunday
another one left this earth
some might even say St Patrick
I can make only a simple claim
a thousand poems I have written
to honor those
with more charity than I

This world of ours will it survive?
one thousand years more
it takes a real visionary mind for this
looking for correct key to open the door
Consider life way back in 1000ad
how much has changed in that time
so how will it be affected by 3000ad?
maybe man won't work not for a dime
Robots could be doing all that's manual
money may not exist just pay by code
computers be so tiny just a little chip
transport be digitally controlled on the road
The speed of sound take us on holiday
wherever our destination may be
to the moon or whatever planet
nothing to stop anything to see
But there again the world may end
long before that time would come
Jesus may return to reign as king
all then must bow before Him numb
(Just some thoughts on what the world may be like by 3018.)

R-ise of the sun begins,
O-n twenty-third January;
S-unday shadow and rain
H-ave disappeared finally.
I-t's a beautiful Monday,
E-vening haze is over;
L-et the beacon come, as you wake from slumber.
N-ew dawn has broken,
A-fter the dusk and twilight;
C-old chill has turned
I-nto a warm and bright light.
O-ne occasion of mirth, pleasure, joy, and thrill;
N-ever be unwise in spending your one thousand peso bill.

one thousand at the eleventh hour
They come from afar
through seasons bitten by frost
across a mountain's pass deep in snow
shout they all, " holy holy save us god"
"wash our sins away, free us from the damned”.
they dip into our well for healing
catch each trembling drop upon
crying supplicant lip, "holy, holy save me,”
"the end is nigh,”
"we hear the hooves cracking"
see the signs even in the daytime skies.
prostrate, rich and beggar charm the grotto
with promises of money or servitude.
monks and priests alike solemnly dash
a throng of fear with blessed water
scooped from a barrel behind the basilica.

One thousand went to pray
I with them in the holy place
in deep meditation I fell asleep
only ten people I could see
still kneeling and lost in prayer
Scared I asked in silence,
“Where are the rest gone?
Why are we so few here?”
The Almighty answered,
promptly from the sanctuary;
“Be not scared, my child
I bring this to you today
to have idea of the world
that prays decorative prayer
preaches gospel without salvation
Of the one thousand in prayer
the ten you see still praying
are here to seek Me in truth.
The rest who fill the sanctuary
are simply beautiful tourists”.
The amount of wealth you offer
The number of times you pray
The beauty you show in sanctuary
are ordinary to me in reality
quality of heart and actions move Me”

We must have passed one thousand times
it's what I remember, deep down in my mind
Each time we passed, I held back on words
Could she really like me?
the thought seemed absurd
For so many years, I've thought of these words
Ive sat in the darkness, my heart kept in check.
Except the times that Id think,of my tounge on her neck
I have thought just to kiss her one thousand times
if she'd think me crazy-just out of my mind
No one could I tell of the thoughts that I had.
Destin forever to feeling a cad.
I thought just to hold her one thousand times
My wish was to tell her, if she would not mind.
Our paths have now crossed after thousands of days.
I found her on facebook, We've now started to play.
So now I can tell her my thoughts through the years.
Our paths finally crossed and the answer to prayers.
If only she'll hear me.I can wipe away tears.

One thousand naira
For one thousand dreams
One thousand hopes
Punctured by one thousand spears
For one thousand naira
One thousand faces
Queued up in one thousand war-ds
For one thousand reasons
One thousand holes grace our thatch-full thatches
Where endless rain and peeping sun cuddle our tattered
mats
One thousands holes rest upon our busy roads
Where we trade and death raids
One thousand naira
For another thousand pains?
Or
One thousand changes?
They've paid
We've bought

One thousand for one
day,Says the prodigal
child,Two thousands
two days,Says the
greedy son,Your
pocket is full of
treasures-Your
stomach demanding for
something;Spending two
days in a day,How
would you cope with the
rest. Campus ladies
have taken you
away,Just only on their
hot chest.MISS wasters
welldone on your
guys.One day they say
byebye,Their you say
it's normal.Your cry
should not be in
summer.
Turn back He calleth
you,That you may see
hunky-dory.JESUS can
tell you a real story.On
your He is feeling sorry.
