synapses continued their neuronal junction
long after the seed’s path had been planted
the miracle proceeded in mind and mindfulness
as the journey became her labour of love
prismatic eyes shone once again in a mirror
polychromatic and full of compassion and trust
No matter the long road
You can walk step by step
No matter the short road
You can't reach it
Without taking two feet
Life is a harder you try
Easy if you find it inspire
Love the way you fight for it.
As clouds march behind the larger one ahead,
I think about one step at a time being easier instead
When dealing with life's big changing events,
it can lead to being tired, and also stressed
I find trying to do a piece at a time is helpful and best
Somehow it makes things easier to fall into place
A big picture all at once can be overwhelming to face
I finish a task, take a break and tell myself I'm getting there
There's a lot at stake, worth the focus, on one thing, not everywhere
It can become easier, than one would expect it to be
Because fearful anticipation blocks the ability to see
So I give it a try, it is working, each day at a time I face
Later I'll look back, at accomplishments from my destined place

Moses had exciting news
for his people, his fellow Jews
G-d said, From Bondage I shall now rescue you
From the land of Egypt I will deliver you too
The Holy Torah I shall bestow upon you
Bring you to the Promised Land
Your vision of Peoplehood to refresh and renew
What’s this? Moses says you can’t hear Me
That you’re exhausted from slavery
OK. I understand. Let’s take this one step at a time ~
The matzo’s on me... Then mountains you’ll climb
She was totally overwhelmed.
Shut down completely.
Even her legs would not work.
Paralyzed in mind and body.
Her grandmother came to visit.
She was their last choice
But everyone else had tried.
"Ce n’est pas la mer à boire." said the grandmother
The lass remembered her childhood.
She remembered a day she had completely shut down.
She remembered being terrified and afraid.
She remembered her grandmother explaining.
She had to take one day at a time.
She did not have to face a week or a month or a year.
She put her hands out to her grandmother.
Her grandmother gave her a giant hug.
“It will be okay,” her grandmother told her.
The girl put out her shaky feet
and began taking
one step at a time….
J-ust one step at a time,
O-n the fourteenth of May;
N-ever lose your hope,
E-nhance it all the way.
L-et it be one step at a time,
Y-our chance is already there;
N-ever lose your faith, Lord God will always care.
A-im at the glorious goal,
Z-ealously learn to fly;
O-pen your wings and soar,
T-o reach the pleasant sky.
E-agerly hope for the moment, that you do the uphill climb;
A-llow your life to make it one step at a time.
One Step at a Time
No more ‘spirits’ said the drunk and thus the glass was always full of promise
adventure, growing up, hip hop, repetition, word play
A ONE STEP AT A TIME ©
Life is but a hopscotch path
Players vying for placement
Rules to follow aground
Tokens used for good luck
Practice runs lead to safe landings
Over ever-changing terrains
Hop skip and jump!
Land on a crack
You break your Mudder’s back
Marbles fill a bag of loot
Once directed into home holes
Missed turns are your takings
Marbled cat eyes forever coveted!
Crayons come in packs
Pick a colour to your taste
Roses are red
Violets are blue
Black is for rain clouds
Gone is a sun yellow
A is for Apple-
B is for Bunny-
C is for caterwauling
Letters up for a draw
Lettered tongues speak
The bad, good and the ugly
Making mountains out of mole hills!
Name-calling never hurts
Pain hurts from thrown stones
Calling one to take a chance
Towards another hopscotch
With hop skips and jumps
One step, two steps, three steps more!
You have a promise
from your friend
They will be there
till the end
Cause no one else
will understand
The troubles you’ve
been through and
can’t
Find a way to just
remove
These feelings that
leave you confused
Every time you start
to climb
A wall to leave it
all behind
Each step makes you
fall and tumble
And your future
starts to crumble
With each piece that
breaks apart
Putting pain back in
your heart
Making it start to
decay
And the pieces start
to fray
You’re told that it
will be alright
Just take one step
at a time
Slowly you see that
regrets
Stopped you from
taking every step
That you need to
realize
There is no way you
can hide
From the things
making you sad
Every life has good
and bad
There is no way to
escape
So you should just
appreciate
Life and love that’s
all around
One day you’ll fl y
off the ground
And pulled over that
breaking wall
By someone who won’t
let you fall
Putting back each
broken piece
Of your heart as
they release
All the love that’s
shining through
Holding on tightly
to you
Finding the strength
you thought was
missing
With this new love’s
tender kissing
I’m following Jesus… One Step At A Time!
I’m following Jesus! One Step At A Time!
I’m having fellowship with Jesus!
His glory divine!
I’m falling in love with Jesus!
He’s precious to me!
I’m enjoying Jesus!
His love flows abundantly!
I’m going to tell others about Jesus!
He is GOOD NEWS!
I’m gong to share the words of Jesus!
No matter what others do!
I’m going to praise the Lord Jesus!
My savior and my king!
I’m going to honor Jesus! He is my everything!
I’m going to exalt the name of Jesus!
I’ll give a shout and a cry!
I’m going to serve my Jesus!
Up until the day I die!
I’m gong to tell you about Jesus!
He invites you to his home!
I’m going to invite YOU to come to Jesus!
The choice is yours alone!

Lord I paint
You with
This airbrush
In my mind
One-step
At-a-time
I'll save the world
Single handedly if I have to
You can choose to help
Or step back and watch what I do
I’ll be like Robin Hood
Steal from the rich and give to the poor
The right people will have the money
So there'll be no more war
I’ll feed and care for the poor
Just like mother Theresa
Except I’ll do it world-wide
Not just in India
I’ll be better than dr. house
No one will die from caner again
I’ll find a cure for it all
So you won't have to die in pain
As for racism
I’ll do what Dr.King Jr and Mahatma failed to
I’m like the guy from unbreakable, you can't kill me
Until I’m done with what I came to do
I might not get this done all at once
There’s so much crime
That I might not get it done today
But I’ll save the world, one step at a time
