One Step At a Time

You have a promise
from your friend
They will be there
till the end
Cause no one else
will understand
The troubles you’ve
been through and
can’t
Find a way to just
remove
These feelings that
leave you confused
Every time you start
to climb
A wall to leave it
all behind
Each step makes you
fall and tumble
And your future
starts to crumble
With each piece that
breaks apart
Putting pain back in
your heart
Making it start to
decay
And the pieces start
to fray
You’re told that it
will be alright
Just take one step
at a time
Slowly you see that
regrets
Stopped you from
taking every step
That you need to
realize
There is no way you
can hide
From the things
making you sad
Every life has good
and bad
There is no way to
escape
So you should just
appreciate
Life and love that’s
all around
One day you’ll fl y
off the ground
And pulled over that
breaking wall
By someone who won’t
let you fall
Putting back each
broken piece
Of your heart as
they release
All the love that’s
shining through
Holding on tightly
to you
Finding the strength
you thought was
missing
With this new love’s
tender kissing

This is very good. One can only go forward by taking one step at a time. We should never rush into things. a true love can make everything possible. Thanks for sharing... Lucilla

Robin love the image of the wall and rebuilding your life. Think this is a poem so many of us can relate to after a relationship ends. Hugs as ever jan x
