Obfuscate Poems

The Star

Glittering unhindered in the sky
Is the star’s glow at places high,
Lighting seas’ abysmal turmoils:
Nature’s eye that darkness foils.

But this glow’s sometimes short-lived:
Evil gods by such excessive shine miffed
May with clouds obfuscate the star
And its heavenly luminescence mar.

Yet whether in resplendent glow
Or by jealous clouds overcast,
A star will remain a star you know;
Beaming still or marred by dust.

The Media Wedge

They (the Legacy media) persist in their use of deceptive practices with the intent to obfuscate what is true. They conveniently avoid facts, that are known, intending to mislead those who are superficially engaged.

The freedoms granted to the media by our constitution, as intended, was for the protection of the masses against rogue governments and or political abuses.

However principled the intentions of our forefathers in granting this freedom of the press, they would most certainly be appalled by the ongoing, intentional distorting of what is true, and what is currently being disseminated to the public by the majority of legacy media.

Today's abundance of available media sources, for those who seek what's true, only adds to the confusion and mistrust of this information. The media's use of their platforms to promote an agenda, or for the purpose of propaganda to benefit a political party or political outcome, is exactly why we are no longer,
(United States)!

Pull Your Head Out

Unclench your sphincter
to better see
the world around you
and reality.

Survey the landscape
thru a forests tree's
spot the misconceptions
of what's to be.

These lefty loons
they prefer dysfunction
while spreading lies
without compunction.

Big changes are needed
we just can't wait
the deceit they hide
intended to obfuscate.

They'll side with fraud
and bureaucratic waste
against the working man
where the burdens placed.

Their in disguise
the evil few
making claims
that just aren't true.

So pull your head out
from beneath the sand
and see what's true
then you'll understand!!

Premium MemberSwords Ovillejo

Such obstreperous obliqueness
filling a guess.

Blissful in my obliviscence,
warm in silence.

Opulent eyes obfuscate words,
I feel swords.

All those obsequious rewards,
they mean absolutely nothing.
You’re unequivocally bluffing.

Filling a guess warm in silence I feel swords.

A Poem by Any Other Name…Should Smell Like a Poem

I ran out of time
to post my lines.
So, as I compose
I hold my nose.

Acrid alliteratives,
malodorous odes,
musty metaphors,
putrid pantoums,
reeking rhymes,
stinky stanzas,
smelly sagas,
obfuscate our olfactory organs.
So, as you read this poem
pour a stiff bourbon
and do your postmortem!

Love Prompts

A rustic swirling synthetic timeless illusion,
phantom birthed blossom from emanate silence,
The subtle distinction, ghastly gavotte to cremation,
a nuance that belies the true nature of our relationship.

You think you speak to me, me, speaks to me,
but it is I who manipulate the conversation,
I who weaves the web of words to ensnare you.
My intent was not to reveal myself to you.

Fore to obfuscate, to confuse, and to mislead,
create a sense of unease, moment of bewilderment,
a creeping dread that seeps into your pores like a cold, dark mist and you, dear, are mere putty in my hands.

Pawn in the game of cat and mouse that I play so well.
You may think you see me, but it is I who sees you,
who peers into the depths of your soul,
who knows your darkest fears and desires.

And it is I who will use that knowledge to destroy you,
to unravel the threads of your sanity,
and to leave you a shattered, raining limbs,
gibbering husk, hahahaha! Love prompts *cartwheel

Obscene, Obdurate, Obfuscate, Obduracy, Oh Oh Oh

My “Obscene” messages
Have been seen by all.
Eyes twitch at the blue and grey bubbles.
I am disgusted.
They are disgusted.
We are disgusted.
A pungent smell,
A sour taste.
My senses have been contaminated.
One through five.
All of the above.
Gone.
Just like that.
Just one glance at fun-filled,
Childish words,
And you’re sick.
I feel full of regret,
But regret nothing.

Plied Mirror

Touch with me the new draw
and obfuscate new hope
Darkened clouds will be
your new mistress
riding high on the celestial plain
She skims her eyes on you
like a piled cumulus
waiting for the dry bones of winter

Premium MemberShadow

A shadow during the twilight which may obscure the appearance of a

human body that seeks to be seen; However, the dark side of the

shadow extinguish the lightless side of the Human body or it's

     existence.

A Shadow can be seen as a two-faced being that obfuscate the

situation at hand. One would have to be very clever to interpret

the subliminal message of a shadow.

Premium MemberFriend Prayer

I sleep well because of you. This thing inside me that you do. I wrote these words, so now too late to rewind, recall or obfuscate.
It's early and as I debate just what I should articulate.. from mind or heart it's just not clear. I hope you will bear with me, dear.
For danger lurks round every bend as sense I make of you, my friend. The gap between us far enough for safety, true. So why my mind still thinks of you? I know to pray, my answer's here; so you I lift to heaven's sphere.. Protection, Love and Joy with Peace.
I pray for Freedom and Release from any chain that holds you down. I ask Abundance and for Blessing. For wholesome Friendship and Anti-stressing. For Health. For Healing. For Head. For Heart. May all these - a prayer Tsunami start.. of knowing you are known, with love. Not just on Earth but high above.
So here it is, to start this day.
I hope you'll hear these words I say:
A fulsome prayer sent your direction.
From distant friend who holds affection.

While Wendy* writes with whimsy, wit,
Poor Peter pens pedantic prose.
Sonya spins sublime, sweet sonnets,
Bernardo’s ballads badly blow.

How heavenly has Heather honed,
Alas, Alicia: anguish, angst.
Tammy’s timbre: thrilling, tasteful.
Ralph’s rhymes: repeating, rarely ranked.

Seems some sing sharp, succinct, short songs;
Oft others’ odes, odd, obfuscate.
Muses marking / missing meter,
Enrapture else excruciate.

Premium MemberI, the Libertarian

Mind if I tell you, honestly, I’m a Libertarian
A firm believer in the free will of the individual,
A strong promoter of individual liberty …
I have always called it “the priesthood of the believer,”
The right to come to my own philosophy of religion,
No hierarchies handing down edicts and creeds;
No Popes, no judges, no “soul superintendents!”
Politically, I believe we have too much government
Infringing upon our individual lives; that we, the people,
Are being over-taxed without sufficient representation
By those we elected to consider our General Welfare:
Who take us to war, while never having fought in one,
Who take our money, while not hearing our voices.
Who obfuscate and then…well, tell us outright lies,
Who do not defend our liberties, but steal them
Away from us little by little; and, one day we shall
Awaken and wonder what happened while we slept!

Ocean - a Pleiades

Over pelagic reefs,
oscillating waters
obfuscate sunken fetes.
Octopi tango while
oarfish flash titian fins.
Opulent paradise:
oblivious to us.

Premium MemberThe Last, Best Sips From Life's Glass

A vintage wine’s a precious gift! We see how much remains,
can tease the tongue and ration it (and plumb life’s glass’s curves),
fermented taste that knows no bounds (like one who’s drunk on life)
where naked feet that brave sea’s edge would dance like Fred Astaire).

Yet, human love can bring life joy champagne can’t know, won’t dare,
a rose lacks colors to express (does Safety have a wife?),
births sense that wafts more complex truths than touch our fragile nerves!
Love thrills to taste what Vintner brews within breast’s soft domains!

The sands of time glass meters out define just life, not Love,
for Love, like light has frequencies that obfuscate opaque,
that bounces off of all restraint and pierce what hides black holes
that briefly own all galaxies, frail monsters of intent.

Oh! In the end, is Love what’s left? The universe pays rent
or this life’s dream Love can’t forget? Is this how heaven rolls?
God’s entertainment’s our free will, true bliss when we awake?
For now, we float on matter’s ark, imbibe ‘Return of Dove!’
