And so the show begins
in an effort to simplify
they obfuscate
complicate and
obliterate
             .......simplicity...

Plied Mirror
Touch with me the new draw
and obfuscate new hope
Darkened clouds will be
your new mistress
riding high on the celestial plain
She skims her eyes on you
like a piled cumulus
waiting for the dry bones of winter...

Ocean - a Pleiades
Over pelagic reefs,
oscillating waters
obfuscate sunken fetes.
Octopi tango while
oarfish flash titian fins.
Opulent paradise:
oblivious to us.

4/5/21 - written for Kim Merryman's "Pleiades O" poetry contest - 1st place...

Defective Mirror
where'd I get this mirror?
so surely poorly made
distorted images look back
of an image about to fade
into the obscurity of old age

that ain't me, as well I know it
the mirror's attempt to obfuscate
and put that other person there
one who's looks I surely hate...

Such obstreperous obliqueness
filling a guess.

Blissful in my obliviscence,
warm in silence.

Opulent eyes obfuscate words,
I feel swords.

All those obsequious rewards,
they mean absolutely nothing.
You’re unequivocally bluffing.

Filling a guess warm in silence I feel swords....

Obscene, Obdurate, Obfuscate, Obduracy, Oh Oh Oh
My “Obscene” messages
Have been seen by all.
Eyes twitch at the blue and grey bubbles.
I am disgusted.
They are disgusted.
We are disgusted.
A pungent smell,
A sour taste.
My senses have been contaminated.
One through five.
All of the above.
Gone.
Just like that.
Just one glance at fun-filled,
Childish words,
And you’re sick.
I feel full of regret,
But regret nothing.

A Poem by Any Other Name…Should Smell Like a Poem
I ran out of time to post my lines. So, as I compose I hold my nose. Acrid alliteratives, malodorous odes, musty metaphors, putrid pantoums, reeking rhymes, stinky stanzas, smelly sagas, obfuscate our olfactory organs. So, as you read this poem pour a stiff bourbon and do your postmortem!

Premium Member Shadow
A shadow during the twilight which may obscure the appearance of a

human body that seeks to be seen; However, the dark side of the

shadow extinguish the lightless side of the Human body or it's

     existence.

A Shadow can be seen as a two-faced being that obfuscate the

situation at hand. One would have to be very clever to interpret

the subliminal message of a shadow....

The conversation
takes an crushy turn - so my
brain starts making quips.

My experience is
that my amorous impulses
are unreliable.

With my friends, my flawed,
carnivalesque attempts
at romance are legend.

Unless I'm starved
for embarrassment's grief
which I seldom am.

I will dodge, slither,
obfuscate and stall attempts
at intimacy.

What if I’m the
Kind of girl that guys can’t
just fall in love with?...

My Brother
My brother reprobator and oedipus.
Nimble selictor, nisus impersonale muss.
Improvidence, goggle eyed or irrational,
Instigate inane dowdy, kinsfolk isolate fuss.
Paramour or inamorato objurgate carlish,
Impune contrivance, obfuscate gobble tush.
A partner inauspicious or inartificial indigent,
Not same as before lumber or lurcher hiss.
Irremissible offence fidget formidable lead,
My parents exaggerate emotions I ever miss....

The Star
Glittering unhindered in the sky
Is the star’s glow at places high,
Lighting seas’ abysmal turmoils:
Nature’s eye that darkness foils.

But this glow’s sometimes short-lived:
Evil gods by such excessive shine miffed
May with clouds obfuscate the star
And its heavenly luminescence mar.

Yet whether in resplendent glow
Or by jealous clouds overcast,
A star will remain a star you know;
Beaming still or marred by dust.
