The Star

Glittering unhindered in the sky Is the star’s glow at places high, Lighting seas’ abysmal turmoils: Nature’s eye that darkness foils. But this glow’s sometimes short-lived: Evil gods by such excessive shine miffed May with clouds obfuscate the star And its heavenly luminescence mar. Yet whether in resplendent glow Or by jealous clouds overcast, A star will remain a star you know; Beaming still or marred by dust.
