Digital Signal

If I were in automaton mode
and wrote a digital poem
with binary code
in terms of two states
expressed as 0's and 1's
(positive and non-positive)
which when done
alternate
and run
in a lengthy string
then later transmit the data
with technology
it would not read
a beautimous thing
but repetitively tedious
or boring indeed
nought but a numbers game
of dreary ennui
it would positively be

The Lonely Numbers Game
David J Walker

One has paper
		One has pen
One has thoughts of what the color
Of love might have been

One is the mother
		The other a sister
Another a brother
But where is the father
In this hungry game

One is unknown
		One without a name
One remembers every day though
One is just like the other and
		All are the Ones are
just the same

One is forever
Without another
The first among
The lonely ones
In this lonely numbers game

Flowing into healthy sun
Beams subtle on my face
Mama’s ills are often none.

Hands peek in a good grace
Obviously I am still needed
Battle won, continue earthly race

Healthy cuticle glow completed
Hands sparkle, vibrancy attack
Fears and woes superseded

My aches and pains are pushed way back
Sitting on my porch, completely alive
Wondering at the clutter and clack

Numbers game, six. Seven. Five.
Two X’s, 6’s, and 9 lives won.
Like a giant cat, Vitamin D keeps me alive

I marvel at my pretty skin
Amazed at the great shape she’s now back in

Numbers Game

Numbers Game
What happens when two serial killers meet? Do they argue on how many people they have to murder before they're officially 'serial killers'? One says it's three while the other argues five. Does it really matter? Yes, it does. Fight! To the death.

The five killer has the advantage. He's been a murderer longer than his opponent. Will those extra two kills make a difference? Maybe. But the other is of a darker character. More evil. They battle it out. No mercy. Punching, kicking, biting, scratching, blocking, kicking. Anything goes.

The fight becomes a stalemate. Exhausted they pause. What now? Each is a dangerous and worthy enemy. New tactics are needed. The five killer calls upon his sharp devious mind for an advantage, the three digs deep to his evil side. It continues.

Like a game of tag, this could go either way. Either could win. If only God would intervene, strike them both down. But He doesn't. This is His entertainment. Serial killer rivalry. All because they disagreed upon the number.

How many murders makes one a serial killer? Five, three, five three. The winner will know the answer. Then more innocent souls will die...
