The Lonely Numbers Game

Listen to poem:
The Lonely Numbers Game
David J Walker

One has paper
		One has pen
One has thoughts of what the color
Of love might have been

One is the mother
		The other a sister
Another a brother
But where is the father
In this hungry game

One is unknown
		One without a name
One remembers every day though
One is just like the other and
		All are the Ones are
just the same

One is forever
Without another
The first among
The lonely ones
In this lonely numbers game
