Premium Member Beyond Weird

Undeniably these are weird times for US all
Maybe they have been for a very long time
Where the hard working and law abiding
Are used and abused, ridiculed and punished
But now it’s beyond weird
Where those who come illegally
Are given a red carpet
Flown around, deposited at five star hotels
Given thousands a month in handouts
And slaps on the wrist
When they steal and assault anyway
In thanks for our kindness.
And when we, bearing the costs, complain
Then we are the bigots, the racists
Fascists, and, well frankly, garbage.
While those who come seeking refuge
Are recognized as the princes and princesses
They really are
In this fairy tale fantasy of El Norte.

Viva la revolucion for it is here and now
Forget your protests
Dance and celebrate while you can
For in the morning there will be work to do
And streets to clean, of all these rats
And their rotting pumpkin carriage.

Premium Member Fearless Surfers

young fearless daredevil surfers appear at costa de prata in the winter
pitting their skills against the colossal waves that break off Praia do Norte
confident they will be the one who survives, they are invincible right?
I stand on this beach, clutching my heart and my throat, danger aware.

July 1st

I
Happy Birthday USA
But the short and long of it
Political correctness, sungay- pungay -
America for short, United States in it
"Norte Americanos", or US citizens
Celebrate on July 4th
And I have lived & lived that too
God bless America! Amen

II
And God Bless AMERICAS, South too!
There is colonialism in language
We gloss over it, except with Sex
Then we insist on being so correct:
LGBTQ and LGBTQIA
And then the Census: add new 'race'
 -
Yet America. Or America's includes Cuba
And St. Vincent, and your favorites
Yet we exclude at will, call Africa, 'coubtry'
When it has more than 50 countries
And I am calked "Asian" even when
I never visited, or had parents born in it
Yes, language helps us celebrate -
Some people, places, preferences, prejudice
And now some truth
Can you handle it?

Memories of Norte Dame

Here is where I really do want to begin;
Spirit and memories will remain within;
Great goal;
Bells toll;
History will have to start over again.

Norte Dame Destroyed and Annoyed

God has given us many gifts. We have a choir we do desire and a priest
whose sermons are great. We even have a few people at St. James that
God gave the gift of writing poems to. Here is an example of a poem God
just gave me to be given out to everyone.

Singing and sermon are always great,
And to hear them we can hardly wait;
Incredible choir,
Do desire;
We will be there on time and not late,

Can see burning church and collapsing tower;
Many wept and may mourn as they did cower;
Destroyed,
And annoyed;
We want God to rebuild with all of His power.

Not only was this history in the making
Had been taking while we are shaking;
We regret;
Never forget;
Our hearts will pound while breaking.

Eu Sou

Eu sou

Eu sou o que no mundo anda perdido,
Eu sou o que na vida não tem norte,
Sou Sombra de névoa ténue e esvaecida,
Eu Sou o Sonho, e desta sorte.

Eu sou aquela que passa e ninguém vê...
Eu sou a que chamam impossível sem o ser...
Eu Sou a que chora sem saber porquê ...
Sou a imaginação,
Eu sou a visão que alguém sonhou.

Eu sou que haverá de tecer...
Eu sou quem leva alegria,
Eu sou alguém que veio ao mundo,
Eu sou quem vai mostrar,
Aquilo que alguém sonhou ,
Eu sou a inspiração.

Mil Caminhos Para Gente a Procura De Gente

Mil Caminhos

Sempre,
Na vida e
Nos negócios
Existe
Certa quantidade de gente
à procura de gente!

Sempre,
Na vida e
Nos negócios
Existe
mil mapas,
mil caminhos
para encontrar
o povoado
cheio de gente.

Veja que toda a gente
Vai só:
só neste trilhado;
por ser trilhado,
assegura?

Que farei logo,
incerto em mundo incerto? -

Buscar nos Céus o verdadeiro Norte,
Pois na terra não há caminho certo
Para encontrar a gente
certa.

Acredite Muito

Acredite

Sempre com força!
A Força do novo!
Acredite:
O novo não se inventa...
O novo constrói-se.

Eu acredito... E você?

Agora;
Que acredita,
Pois vá contar “prá” mais!
Vá, não fique só!

Hoje: Coloque os olhos no novo
Com ousadia e fé...
Aceita: o Norte existe
Tão-somente para prover o Sul.

Então?!...
Força do novo,
HOJE E SEMPRE...

Kwanza River

(Homage to the Kwanza River
 " Water mother " of Angola)

Largest and only Angolan
Art thou, O majestic Kwanza!

In the central highlands
We see thee rise in Mumbué
And 960 kilometers of undoubted majesty
To the north and west
Since the municipality of Chitembo, in Bié
Stretch out on the big curve design
Before the hug, so sweet, so strong
You give to the salt of the Atlantic

Largest and only Angolan
Art thou, O majestic kwanza!

With an enviable basin
For two hundred and fifty
Kilometers, you are navigable
From the mouth to the Dondo
Where the dams of Cambambe and Capanda
Render yourself patriotic reverence
By the megawatts of power

Largest and only Angolan
Art thou, O majestic Kwanza!

As well as to the national currency unit
In the two provinces, thy name this also:
At its northern margin, Kwanza Norte
And Kwanza Sul, on the opposite bank, equally
They pay more than deserved tribute

Premium Member Confined Glory Shining From Behind

It’s one of the masters of colony domination
and the longest standing territory with unchanged defined borders.
The wave power of praia do Norte
attracts the unique technology of a wave farm existence.
In a compound of many flats, it’s the most reserved
and one of the twin sisters
in their menopausal period of the life imprisonment era.

The first domineering power to abolish human right repressiveness
which sustains the oldest alliance made in the world.
It’s a colourful identity, maintained by the porto
which has been imitated by regional powers.
Shines through a record-breaking Santa Claus parade
and hitting heights with a ‘half-a-county’ dinning.

Known continental praises of remarkable length in Vasco da Gama;
shows off mini-glory in the league of large firework rockets;
an intangible cultural heritage in the express exhibition of fatalism;
are highlights to its greatness
spreading from porto to Lisbon, then Braga to Benfica and overseas
contributing its ink, in the inscriptions of the developed giants.

A Journey Through Civilizations

It never takes me
More than a wink of an eye
To travel from the Levant people
To the people of Minoa
Via yellow river, Norte Chico
Egypt, Harappa and Mesopotamia

I’d seen enough falls and rises
Like the ocean’s weaves
Embedded with few moment’s high tides
And receding low ebbs

While living in houses of Uruk and Memphis
I encountered with enough love and hate
To satisfy their basic instincts
Some went too low, some were too great
To preserve human development and progress.

In the course of my travelling
Through the great river Nile
Among the valleys of Euphrates and Tigris
I’d seen wonderful minds
In heaps of war, conspiracy, deception and lies

With multiple injuries
When I laid in the trenches of lust and greed
In the battle fields of Polynesia
I’d seen the indomitable human spirit
How it withheld the cruelties of Athenians and Spartans
And pushed forward the great human civilization
