Meaning, Message, Me

The meaning of life's what we make
A message not simply to take
Intending no harm
With rhythm and charm
Emotion and euphony we fake

The Regime - A message for the good folks of the USA

They, who have cheated their way through life,
Who have no knowledge of that which they control,
Who told you everything was so bad,
That only they could fix it all.
They...

Will tell you which medicines you should take,
Which comedians you should laugh at,
Which teachers shall inform your children,
Which persons you may love and trust,
Which generals to take you into war and who to oppose,
Who is suitable to be living amongst you,
Which ignorant fools, out of their friends, shall rule over you,
Which rules are the ones to follow & which to ignore.

You voted for them.
So, now, you must accept them
As the dictators of your lives,
As who determines everything for you,
As your lords & masters.
They will inform you of what is right & wrong,
Of the nature of the imaginary deities you talk to,
When your life becomes unbearable,
Who must suffer and who may live in opulent luxury
And every other aspect of your lives.

Unless....

The Message To Get Us Through

The message was shared and sent
As told by my natural father
Before he was led to God
I heard once to achieve this life
He said, to run business requires credibility
To make friends requires sincerity
To fall in love requires loyalty
To raise child requires long company
Good for his credibility, sincerity, loyalty
Long company in life and in life to come
All for these qualities meant for good
For all people, for growth and maturity
For success, for life and for salvation.

My Poem, which becomes a Message

If he knew,
but what if he does and feels that way too?

Foolish I am,
for hoping for his feelings being the same as mine.
What if he sees me as a friend and not more, and I cry myself to sleep or even my death.
Sometimes, every time.

Sometimes I hope, but then it disappears.
I know my chances are low,
and I get depressed,
every time I try to rest.
Imagining holding his hands,
being held in his arms,
feeling loved as I always dreamt about.

Dreamt about my whole life.
I know,
I have time.
But I can't let go.
Let go of such feelings I have,
for you.

And then,
my poem becomes a message.
Transformed from "he" to "you".
Hoping you somehow find this and feel this way too.

But what if you know,
and feel this way too and are foolish for hiding it, like me, from you.

Premium Member spirit message

red cardinal hops onto tiny branch of lilac tree
it’s near dusk
at first, I thought he was a shadow creature
my eye caught a glimpse of his dark movements
his feathers are scarlet
he hops a bit, then flies off
a spirit message?
Mayhaps

God's message

God's message;
"It's hard for you to believe what you don't see,
I'm like the wind that blows to the tree.
I'm always by your side,
Yet you still find it difficult to confide".

FLOTILLA
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
her heart, once a crammed attic,
overflowing with yesterday’s dusty relics,
became a barren room.
each secret—a silent, fragile confession,
she scrawled on paper thin as skin,
slipped into the throat of antique glass.
a cardboard ark, ferrying her bottled truths,
down to the shore she walked,
where the sea sighs secrets of its own.
a flotilla of confessions and longing,
a bobbing armada of regret,
pushed by the tide—away, away, away.
she raised her hands in farewell
releasing all her burdens,
their echoes fading on salty winds
Message To Mantis
To all the male members
of the praying mantis species
a word to the wise you guys
now pay attention to my theses
whether for fun you recreate
or to mate and procreate
it's something I really would not advocate
hold on tight to your pants
love at first sight is not romance
I don't care if you look
but never dare go so far
as to unhook her bra
and whatever you do don't lose your head
as before postcoital dysphoria sets in
the female will kill you dead
she'll make a meal of you
tear you limb from limb
and if you don't believe me
when did you last see our randy brother Jim?
Message
Time was the most important thing in the world, I know that now, so as I stare at the message I wish I never opened, I realised, if only I had left you on unseen, I would have had longer to peacefully think of what we could have been.
MESSAGE TO GHANAIANS
Ghanaians are beating
The drum of shame
For Nigerians
Which they will later dance to
Calling Nigerians in Ghana
All sorts of names, due to some misunderstanding
Now they're promoting hate just because of mistakes.
Ghanaians are on the street
Creating scenarios
Nigerians the villains
Forgetting they triggered it
Forgetting what their Ghanaians
Are doing to Nigerians as well
No country without a foreigner
There are also foreigners here in Nigeria.
See Ghanaians on the streets pretending
They're perfect and absolutely innocent
Because of the acts and misconduct
Of few Nigerians in Ghana
Now they're protesting for disunity
Your mind is the greatest treasure, work on it
If we can't unite and live in
Oneness, peace and unity within ourselves
Who or where else!?... Let love lead us.
Premium Member Cell Phones
These hand sized gadgets is something we use to communicate
We use these devices to relate good news that can't wait
We take pictures and create memories of our experiences
Also to record a conversation or video  criminal offenses
Many addictions have been created as technology evolves
Different social medias and games to keep everyone involved
One phone seems to vary in cost from another
With apps such as FaceTime to help distant lovers
Those are the advantages but there's also disadvantages
Those that causes you to put your neighbor in bandages.
A conversation full of joy or an argument that's perplexed
You end up taking someone's life while sending a message in a text
You can't drive and focus while someone is screaming in your ear
Attempting to do so is like jumping rope after having a few beers
Know when and how a cell phone should be used
A topic that this current generation has confused
Premium Member ADRIFT AT SEA
ADRIFT AT SEA*
sea-worn bottle,
bobs on a digital tide.
inside, not paper brittle with salt,
but luminous lines of light,
coded in metaphors and rhyme.
message tossed
into the sea.
unknown sender,
no harbor designated, no destination
on any map.
it drifts, a lonely vessel,
across oceans of indifference,
until…
a seacoast appears,
unsummoned,
unexpected.
my eyes, the sand.
my mind, the beach.
I pick it up,
this delicate thing,
uncorking the silence.
The words flow out,
a story whispered,
a feeling shared,
across lifetimes,
across the vacuity.
suddenly,
I am the address.
the recipient unknown,
FOUND.
the message delivered.
the poem,
HOME.
*Note: I posted this poem at Poetry Soup in June 2025 then deleted it (www.poetrysoup.com › poem › adrift_at_sea_1740391). This is my original poem and has not been plagiarized.  Also, this poem was recently published in Highland Park Poetry’s Anthology titled MESSAGE IN A BOTTLE. I am blessed.
I trusted you, we had our fun,
Shared so much, thought we were one.
But when I needed you the most,
You turned away, just like a ghost.
It hurt so deep, I felt alone,
Lessons learned, a heart of stone.
Now I see who’s really true,
I’ll be careful with friends like you.
Though pain is real, I’ll find my way,
Stronger now, come what may.
Betrayal stings, but I will rise,
Building trust, with clearer eyes.
