Where do we stand under this cold black sky
What message for our hearts does come
from this breaking English tide
The grains of sand we could call our own
We would defend this land from any foe
Our minds command our hearts to stand
for the defence of all we know
Our history of sacrifice given through fighting
in fields on seas, on deserts in skies defending
all we know and love from tyranny. This legacy
of fighting for freedom, for liberty, for democracy.
So now commander where do we stand on this
English beach.
Do we turn away from freedom, from democracy
Do we prepare to stand and defend our government
and its lies that sold out democracy
Do we prepare to treat all we know and love as our
enemy.
If so commander I’ll just turn and walk straight into
this English sea.
Alone twiddling their thumbs,
the chaotic mastermind
sat in eternal quander of why
they never really had any sort of control
at all;
Undisciplined and oblivious
ringing in the air like bells
the mastermind’s thoughts stood clamoring
as he remained locked in silence;
A safety net of disconnect;
Chaotic Mastermind
you’re not deep you’re flying;
You’re not sharing a message
you’re high;
Quiet comes from peace with yourself
Mastermind;
Partying loud is just a distraction
from all the noise inside your head;
Be ok with alone twiddling those thumbs,
there is nothing you need to ponder;
Life just multiplies the mysteries;
In the end you don’t control anything at all.
What a terrible passage here conveyed
showing how wicked is the human heart
allowing sin to overtake that person
leading them in Satan's hand in no small part
This is seen in the person of Judas Iscariot
a disciple that betrayed his master
one that made a profession of faith
his heart condition was a real disaster
Judas had privileges beyond many
a chosen apostle, companion of Christ
heard Jesus preach, witnessed his miracles
yet his heart unchanged, even by the sacrifice
For he indeed heard the gospel message
that repent from sin, that God would forgive
but he had a darling sin he'd not let go
money was his god for it he loved to live
Jesus words 'one of you shall betray me'
makes one ponder for no disciple spoke
the blackest page in the scriptures
for here shows Judas heart never broke
Let us observe these sober verses
to only be of a sound heart conversion
search me Lord and test my heart
that we truly not fall into desertion
(' When it was evening, he reclined at table with the twelve. And as they were eating, he said, “Truly, I say to you, one of you will betray me.” And they were very sorrowful and began to say to him one after another, “Is it I, Lord?” He answered, “He who has dipped his hand in the dish with me will betray me. The Son of Man goes as it is written of him, but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It would have been better for that man if he had not been born.” Judas, who would betray him, answered, “Is it I, Rabbi?” He said to him, “You have said so.”)
Matthew 26:20-25 (ESV)
Long time ago when I was still a child,
I watched my grandpa in his shrine pour out libation,
Under the tree and amidst sun’s ferocious tide,
To a graven image constructed out of determination.
Sacred worships to gods known and unknown,
Handed-down by tradition as the story told,
In memory of the dead known and unknown,
Grandpa the sacred tradition his turn to hold.
And then the white man came,
From his roaming about though uninvited,
Grandpa responded and offered a game,
As demanded by his culture when by a stranger visited.
The white man introduced his own idea of worship,
Though of better value by my judgement,
I pondered what in man craves for worship,
May be the soul is afraid of judgement.
The white man brought a book,
In it was written many stories,
About a righteous man whose life they took,
Who went about doing good as told by the stories.
Grandpa believed what the white man brought,
The book he called the holy bible,
Where God will bring all wickedness to naught,
A message of hope to the people.
Grandpa his shrine began to destroy,
Cathedrals they began to build,
Materials they began to deploy,
Block by block they began to build.
On the alter is laid a cross,
To guide them by persecution will fall their faith,
To remind them to carry their daily cross,
Thus is formed my faith, oh the sound of faith.
THE GATHERING OF THE GLOW WORMS . . .
All the glow worms have gathered in a circle in the darkness of the night
Looking every bit like an angel’s halo - what a spectacular heavenly sight
While gracefully swaying and singing to that amazing song of “Hallelujah”
All heads held high as though as to direct to their lord with their epistula
No such a rarer sight could one ever hope to see and their melody befall
As the glow worms embraced and rejoiced together in their heavenly call
“Hallelujah - Hallelujah - Hallelujah” . . .

Line Of Inquiry : "I saw God but now what"
It was Easter and I was kneading bread on my kitchen counter. A nanosecond flash and God's face appeared on my backsplash, by the sink. I had a moment of pure rapture before doubt settled in, "Did I truly see Him or was it just an illusion? An un-worldly experience like this causes a euphoric moment on the heart. But soon fear settled in and I asked myself, "Is this vision an imminent sign of my impending death? Or proof of His true existence.
Faith you cannot see
like depth of the sea
or roots of a tree
Along the years, there have been other Grace filled moments such as this. Like the time I sat in a retreat center to pray and a gentle wind blew through my very soul, leaving me in tears. " I was found." The message was brought home by His Sacred presence in me. A pivotal moment of awareness and I knew God was the living seed of my mere existence. Although I didn't see Him this time, I truly felt His presence, and recognized the Divine in me.
Love is the answer
Love is a lancer
Love is a dancer
I have grown old and wise and this broken vessel is filled with the wear-and-tear of a well served life. So as my hourglass body pours itself out, I sit by the river and watch the birds of the air go by. Each one of them brings a message from Him, " When your time is near, I'll be there dear," This is what I hear as I listen, with a very grateful heart.
I sit alone on a dark, lonely night
As tranquil moments gently enfold me
Gazing at stars sprinkling the sky so bright
As my dreams float upwards and become free
Wishes on angel’s wings so lovingly kept
As my love and I live in worlds apart
Twinkling stardust on my desires not met
So much hollowness and pain in my heart
I yearn for the radiance of your smile
As you caress me with your soothing touch
Pray take my hand for a heavenly while
Fleeting moments that I capture to clutch
Deep valleys within flood with much sorrow
Swept along with past memories my love
A prayer cast for a bright tomorrow
As I wish and look to the stars above
Up, up into the blackness of the night
As if by the heavens a message sent
Crystal cut stars shooting and sprinkling light
A sanguine thought floats down on descent
If tonight you feel me dreaming nearby
We rejoin once more sharing the same sky
Although there are things in life that are much worse,
I do feel ashamed for what I have done.
The guilt that I have carried around for years like a curse
Is something that I knew, in the end, I couldn't outrun.
Not a day goes by that I don't think about the past,
Wishing that I could go back and change what was to come.
I know that the shadow of hurt that I have cast
May never see the light of forgiveness by some.
Although I haven't kept in touch, you're always on my mind,
And I wish that I could get back the years that we've lost.
Forgiveness for the pain that I've caused is what I hope to find.
I never thought that my mistakes would come at such a cost.
For years, I have wanted to find a way to make amends,
But my pride and lack of courage have gotten in the way.
This is my 'message in a bottle' that I wish to send.
I truly hope that it finds its way to your heart, one day.
My son's smile shines, in a photograph, standing out from the smiles of his high school track and cross-country team. Other photos of Dan showed him uncomfortable, afraid, tentative, or bored. When he played soccer, he stared into space, once being hit by a speeding ball. His coach said he lacked aggression and shouldn't play. In tennis, he was self-critical, swearing when the ball went out or hit the net. All that changed when he joined the cross-country team. Why? The man they called "coach" - Coach was always positive, never having a bad word for anyone. At the annual awards ceremony, he had something nice to say about everyone on the team and always had an amusing anecdote, as he recognized the individuality of each teammate. His message of camaraderie, positivity, humor, and most of all, fun, went a long way towards producing all those smiles, and most importantly to me, that of my son.
What man could make them run three miles?
It was his message, his approach.
Find the frivolity, the smiles, the fun,
in the photograph of the team and "Coach".
If you have a need to call me
I won’t read into it any more
Than the need to talk to someone
Who has been there once before
Don’t worry about imposing
If you have a text message you want to send
I want to be there to help you out
Any time you need a friend
If you have a need to hug me
I won’t read into it any more
Than the need to simply be held tight
When you feel like falling to the floor
Don’t worry about mixed messages
You’re afraid that it might send
I want to be there to help you out
Any time you need a friend
If you have a need to kiss me
I won’t read into it any more
Than the need to feel good inside
As verification that you’re adored
Don’t worry about teasing me
If the kiss is where you know it must end
I want to be there to help you out
Any time you need a friend
If you have a need to sleep with me
I won’t read into it any more
Than the need for a night of passion
When there’s no lover for you to score
Don’t worry about leading me on
And feeling like you now have to pretend
I want to be there to help you out
Any time you need a friend
But, if you want me to read much more
In these actions that you take
If you wonder why I don’t pick up on the clues
And worry that my friendship is just a fake
Simply tell me you want me to be
Much more than just your friend
And I’ll be glad to be much more for you
Never to wear these restraints again
