Set off by the smallest sip,
feed me what I want.
A rushed drip.

Luminous shade of darkness,
taste it on my lips.
Blown sadness.

Maneuvering souls like pawns
such a rapscallion,
selling bronze.

 I’m struck by your glow,
fierce mellow.

Limericks not rude

Can I write a limerick not rude
Deep down I'm really a prude
limerick is done
compiling was fun
Oops! Been writing whilst I am nude

I Can

A gentle young Austrian fellow
Played both piano and cello
both instruments antique
his talent unique
Produced tones so calming and mellow

The Real One

Mellow from head to toe

He’s got more swag than Duolingo

Excellant musical taste for someone that isn’t copy paste

Knows more than just the basics of aesthetics

Got so much style, he’s so worth while

A heart so pure I’d die chasing him more than a mile

Considerate of others, sometimes I wish we were brothers

-I present to you Brady Battram

Day 1 Poem - Mellow

Outdoors, the light is still
The sky shines blue
The sun paints the ground in shades of yellow
It is a joy, a thrill,
To be sipping a brew
Allowing myself to mellow

Premium Member Mellow Grows The Night

Grows the night when breath lays quietly
On obscure places fluid as winds,
Where clouds of rest become a hammock
Lulling my frayed veins with lemon tea.

Eve mellows allowing surrender
|ts hypnotic intoxication
The exchange of matter and being--
For across the distance ...grows the night.

Young Isaac Newton sat under a tree
Got clunked on the head immediately ~

The apple rolled ‘neath his knee
Which caused him to pee, tee-hee ~

        Newton’s pants discovered gravity

                  cinnamon floats woody
                  musky flesh loamy depths spice-wise

To relax, to let it all go, it helps….. ah, so fulfilling.
To know, really know, I am enough, just stop proving!

To hear the sound of the bluebirds, so busy!
The cat purrs on my chest, so great being not in a tiizzy!

To not seek world approval for who I really am.
Is delicious, heavenly, relaxing, existential jam!

Premium Member In The Wind

Wind grieves, singing her song to the twilight
Breathing stories of a distant sun,
Pulsating poetry in rhythms of blue blessings,
Touching the night the way hope sighs
Erasing the silence and coloring the still
With a whisper, misty eyed and effervescent.

Fellow

 • Such a charming fellow
• With eyes a vibrant yellow
• He'll stare you down
• Often with a frown
• Befriend him and you'll see he's quite mellow

Premium Member Color Blind

How can we understand each other's color,
When we use the same flavored word?
It's impossible to say it any duller,
And through our glasses the meaning is blurred.

To you something bright as the sky,
Will always strike me as navy blue.
With a fire truck we could try,
But to me it is simply maroon.

Something as distinct as a rainbow,
To me, a blurry line of tones.
Something as beaming as the snow,
Might quietly sit with the stones.

All I ask is that you don't judge me,
When my eyes can't shine like the moon.
Believe my words over what you see,
Because color is what drives every tune.
