Feeling Bookish

Sad to see so many books
for want of being read
dying on the library shelf
some look as tho' they're already dead
and to think I could devour them all is fiction
I would be fooling myself instead
I've consumed all the classics Shakespeare complete
but science and mathematics have me completely beat
with all the thought authors put in hate to see it go to waste
can't put a good book down once I've had a taste
the silence of the written word
drink in the view something on which to chew
speaks volumes there's so much to tell
literacy is as the Trojan Horse inside my heart the citadel
don't want to see them fall by the wayside
thrown in the weeds on the seedy side of town
not wanted around
dropped in the dump out of sight out of mind
take a look there's so many books check them out
and oh so little time

in-equalities

I wanted to use the "does not equal" sign, but the system changes it to a question mark, so I'll use "dne" instead.

Spiritual Mathematics

                                           Subtract
                                        to add to life,
                             away from food and things
to a stronger bond with Spirit
                                    for higher vibrations,
                                        go fast away
                                            to God

Mathematics

Mathematics teacher can be romantic
and some people can be happy of his "her" romance.
When he "she" takes a piece of chalk to execute
his "her" teaching job, most people shout
"why these complicated calculations,
where will we go with these mathematics?"
it is like he "she" broke the romantic mood
with mathematics subject.
some people can think that poetry finds roots
in romance because majority people love
romantic poems.
a mathematics teacher can sing and dance
if he "she" knows more about the connection
of poetry with music.

Some calculations can be hard to solve sometimes.
Let us look in this mathematics in future marriage.
When he will marry her , they will become one.
No one will be able to divide them
But only death that will separate them.

The elements unite
Linked and willing,
    In no prescribed order

The route’s lay swirls
Through
Our simple souls,
Appearing still
    But
Bleeding subtly
Along the outstretched
Fibers of the cosmic fabric

God breathes ~
His effects
In seemingly
Simple
Measures
  — His music and mathematics —
Annotate
The dances we seek —

    The steps for the soul
    With its holy and awed
    Communion…

    Graces exclaiming
    Alleluhia!
Shaking the stillness
Wherein He is found
Ever yet renewing
His Love

He Knows Mathematics Not Bedmatics

Chris was shaking all the hands close to his.
He’d just thrashed a math problem like a whiz:
At home shall tell stories starting with this;
Exactly the chance he would never miss.

“Sorry that the Math you solve makes your bliss:
At eighteen you still don’t know how to kiss
While Chris kept waltzing heard a long hiss
Sarah who had sworn “Nothing like false peace”
This week shall be getting a new boyfriend
And shan’t be sleeping alone next weekend

Once an achievement is like a rubbish
The assessor chooses to be snobbish.

Beverage For Leverage

The by-far dull child at orphanage,
After placement on beverage,
Mathematics above average:
A sixty-nine percent anchorage?

Other kids could only vilely rage;
The most envious began fast to age

The once-empty thing at orphanage
Could thrice try syllabus coverage,
Teachers wasting words; he could manage,
No need to be under tutelage...

Means beverage gives one leverage
Kids' craving for it to encourage
Teenagers: Beverage leverage,
To them cash for purchasing courage

Dad and Mum willy nilly savage,
If their fine kids can't reach beverage.

A thing to cry over like carnage!

Premium Member A Simple Mathematics

Mathematics can be brainstorming and headcracking
It can be extremely complex
When you're counting the last number
A mistake will spoil the whole thing
When you're counting the last coin
When you're counting the last days
When you're counting the expectations you haven't fulfilled
When you're counting the number of mistakes you've made
When you're counting the number of friends that have gone
When you're counting the number of prayers you've murmured
Oh, oh,life is in tension with numbers
too

Premium Member The 10 Magical Digits

From the 10 digits 0 to 9
Numerous numbers are formed
Showing man's talent in calculation
These digits and numbers
Are then being widely used in
Gambling
Wealth estimation
Time calculation
Science and Mathematics
Leading to civilization and greed
But finally greed dominates civilization
And rules man's heart and soul
Making him a slave of
Merely 10 small and insignificant digits

What I See In the Holy Bible

I can see that The Holy Bible
Has not Good Words it kept for Libel:
Whoever has been badly defamed
To not feel like Our Lord ‘The Profaned’

I sort of spot in Holy Bible
The Faces of Men that did it scribble;
One or Two free with their emotions,
The Rest Inclining to God’s Notions …

I reckon The Forgiveness Command
Wants to Man confine to Mercy Land
And that it is a Grim Injunction
That brooks no Audacious Infraction …

A Sad Mathematics in Bible:
Christ’s stated Seventy Times Seven,
To the Aggrieved quite describable
In terms of An Unfeeling Heaven …

The Hard-kicking portions of Bible
Are its Ever Scary Hell Fires
Which their Happy Writers did scribble;
Still guilt after lawyers one hires;
I’d want not The Forgiveness invoked
And dying to hear The Hell revoked.

Before Big Bangs - Yes, Big Bangs, Thanx Prof Penrose

I
Think of a huge pond or lake. It's been raining. While ripples fall and send their concentric circles further and further, you no longer see individual ripples and circles. Although it's now a confusing criss-cross of space and time, you can track back to the individual raindrop that started each ripple - backwards in time. That's the way to understand what was before each Big Bang.

II
Why would there be only One Big Bang? One singular event that altered the thermal equilibrium? Especially since we have the Second Law of thermodynamics implies the universe becoming more and more random from where it began. So, going backwards in time we get to:
a. No randomness
b. No time ( the universe forgets both time/speed and even how big it is).
c. The analogy of raindrops hitting the lake surface ( space-time canvas?) may now replace the raindrops with BLACK HOLES. The black hole in our Milky Way will collide with the ripples of another black hole in an expanding universe, where the "ripples" also keep going out further and further. But so are the other "ripples" in the universe. Hence, big Bangs.

Elementary Mathematics, 101

“After one-hundred, which number comes next?”
inquired Ms. Colvin as she studied her text.

All of us kids raised our hands high,
then Ms. Colvin picked Brett, this one dumb guy.

“Two-hundred,” he said with complete confidence.
“Geez,” I thought, “he sure is dense.”

So I sat up straight
and I felt really great
’cause the answer, I knew,
was one-hundred and two.

Mathematics

O’ cleverest witch, yet
Prudent of all science,
mighty and sharp like
a hunter’s blade.

On your strong infinite
Spine you carry them;
real and imaginary
 demons, rational and
irrational fools of
numbers.

 How sadly they seem, as
they travel far and wide-
eternity, their feet nailed
 to the number line.

To us that wander; you
cast logarithmic spells,
and sync up the music,
spotless glows- as though
in a disco; the razzle dazzle rose,
the spiro disco ball,
the space cadets; we dance
and swing till our days
come to nothingness.

Family Mathematics

I was an only child
I had it ALL….
THEN…
The new addition showed up
My room was divided
my drawer space now minus two
because “they” chose to multiply.

Mathematical Mind

Sliding down the curves of a hypersurface,

Jumping from side to side of a polytope.

Slacklining between the points of a hexacosichoron,

Spinning through the quadrants of a cartesian plane.

Reciting digits of pi, I twirl them into Fibonacci spirals.

I take comfort in the chaos, settling in the irregular regularities.
