I, looking in the mirror yesterday,
witnessed distorted eyes replacing mine;
and, too, the lips and nose, as if a sign,
seemed bent crooked, misaligned in some way.
And, as I, squinting, gazed on that display,
an unheeding hand groped at the outline
of the coldly reflective glass confine.
I watched it slowly mangle the red-clay
body which, lifeless, answered my dead stare.
Tearing tripe from stomach, and from breast
the heart, those fingers worked maliciously,
dismembering each inch of skin less fair.—
I know not who it was who flayed my chest:
I? or that demon called Society?

Paul talked tough, said he wanted to pulverize his enemy
But didn’t have one as far as any of us roommates could see
I’d mangle and maim them like a warrior wrecking ball
His only enemies are on video games, our friend Paul

A ghastly cadaver drops, for whose noble sake?
To ravish the grandeur of wildlife
In the thud of night; to mangle
Mother Earth's gift and its life's intent
Where each tender beast moves in a flow
Linking a primal, fond tie with nature’s deities…
But the affinity with innocent children, its tribe
Snuffed with one ruthless bang in the forest
When pitiless minds become delirious… heinous
A giraffe, a leopard perishes without knowing
The lithe body quickly turns into a gaunt shadow,
How sudden. Just like that: unable to play with birds
And race with own calf or cubs along an inlet...
O hollow night, O lamp of silence drained
By the vicious game from predators
Lusting after power...just like that
And no one can tell, for whose noble sake?

my mind is a jumbled-up mess,
it thinks it’s a game of chess,
with pawns in a line,
and knights in a bind,
it’s chaos, but i must confess.
it ponders like cats in the night,
chasing things just out of sight,
with dreams in a chase,
and thoughts all misplaced,
it’s nonsense, but it feels just right.
so if you catch me in a tangle,
as my scattered thoughts wrangle and mangle,
just laugh with delight,
and join in the flight,
where logic and silliness dangle.

My mingle-mangle mismash mixed bag of stuff
Is a pastiche, potpourri, patchwork of remnants rough
The accumulation of this junk was not so very tough
Feather dusters, ink wells, rulers, silver links of cuff
Pincushions, a beaver tail, old Spice, smelly snuff
Nails, shoe polish, tape, puffer that does not still puff
Potholders, elf statue, rags to give car a buff
Petrified cinnamon roll, please don’t give me guff.

hanging
i am the piece that’s lost
caught in the little flanks
for the rooks and vultures
to devour
at this hour
where sunlight and twilight
do more than merely rhyme
hung by wire
i pass the time
soaking up sunfire
hanging
and i dangle
swaying to the winds that mangle
i
am
torn
and
tattered
won’t someone get me down from here?
splatter my brains
and scatter my remains?
(i’ve no need for myself)
save the dirges
for someone who gave a rat’s ass
about living
every day was my funeral
this is my finale
the end of me

Reality, wow what a concept
lifes provable facts
those incontrovertible truths
things that stick out and not fall in the cracks
Its subject to interpretation you see
describing the elephant for the blind
this part the leg,
that a tail, this part a trunk!! Divine!
For reality takes an observer
to set itself in the track
if that tree fell in the woods with no one to hear
did it make a sound of a crack?
Without perception, it's all contention
if it ever existed at all
and we are all running around with vivid imaginations on ground
till incontrovertible evidence is found
See it, touch it, document away
till the item in question is in decay
or maybe even obliterated away
the observation itself causing the obliteration to stay
And so that was how faith was born
for people to believe in others known truths
we didn't have to experience it first hand
we just had to trust like a youth
And from that comes charlatans
who mangle that truth for cash
and make the world a caricature
and history rewritten despite past
With no firm understanding of what is
or firm understanding of what was
people lose their compass
and look to god above

Misspelt poems mangle the message,
dealt a blow by a careless edit;
Svelte pen but could not match the approach,
felt you were done but did not see it;
When you’re lucky you get the wordplay,
jasmine doesn’t flow like the jazz men;
Again that’s just not how it works out;
Been there, mind spellcheck pay attention.

Satirical Journal Entry #1
Attempting Suicide:
Just The Beginning!
If I killed myself today would anyone notice? Would anyone be at my
funeral?
If so, would they come just ot give themselves peace(piece) of mind over
all the things they took from me?
I guess better late than never!
Hmmm..........
A corpse could always use a loan or a shoulder to cry on.
I wonder how I would be dressed?
Ah....... maybe somehow right before I die I could mangle my face so my casket would stay closed.
-Less opportunity for more disappointment that way.
If I killed myself today all chaos in my mind would end.
I would be in hell for sure
but I know that all this torture on earth would be forgotten.
Yet one question still remains.
Is it worth the damnation?
Yes! I am a selfish !

There is no peace upon this earth
That is not buried in rock and dirt
When ever man lays down his head
Fear and turmoil walk around his bed
They put their spirit into his dreams
He turns and struggles not to scream
His life he spends longing for calm
As life itself slipps through his palm
The sands of time forever fall
As louder he hears deaths beckoning call
His life is worth only what he gives
His treasure flows through as water through a sieve
Being divided among those whom he cares
And coming together in those whom he shared
In this world peace can not be found
Because evil is always lurking around
Searching for someone to anger and annoy
Searching for life to mangle and destroy
In this world we will have tribulation
But He leaves us His peace and jubilation
That where He is there we may be
Because He died on that man fashioned tree
He tore the veil that seperated man from God
He rescued the souls from their guilty sod
Forever He lives and we may to
In a body that's holy and new
Our peace is in Him and not of this earth
Earths peace is only found buried in rock and dirt

A laundryman let his dong dangle
While standing too close to a mangle.
When they stopped it, you guessed it,
It had folded and pressed it,
And now he must pee at an angle.

Hands hold, faces face
Eyes embrace, distance dissolves
Time stops, love lingers.
Hands hang, faces warp
Eyes glare, bridges burn
Past crashes, time aborts.
Minds mangle, hearts abrade
Egos blaze, identity incinerates
Pledges perish, bonds break.
Road deserted, journey desolate
Present pines, future forlorn
Change reigns, time rues.

Attempting to join the dots
we tie up ourselves in knots;
later try to untangle,
these barbs that scar and mangle.
Instrumentalising thought
we rest in silence, self-taught,
letting go of doership crutch,
enabling knowing by touch.
One with universal mind,
wisdom of another kind,
definitive, free from doubt,
deep in soul, clear truth does grout.

Softly I reached
to pull it
A pillow ,Too many ,I think
Your breathing somewhat challenged
Your throat definately
In a kink
Your set up
Was
In a bad angle
Your coif
It was
Starting to mangle
As I grabbed onto
Pillow two,the culpret,
I thought best in a flash
What I didn't know and
As you told me so(In no uncertain terms)
My thinking would prove to be rash
As I jerked it away
You sprang up to say
Mom!!! What the hell!
A cuff button I'd caught
In a lock of your hair
Which came away in the Pell mell
It took me a few
To convince you
that scalping was not on my mind
That my motive
Was pure,as I begged to assure
I had simply thought to be kind
Emphasis on simply

"Turning the Table"
Heads or tails
Success or failed
It's just what life entails
Overhead money and infinite power being dangled
People quick to tangle
Then strangle
And mangle
Under a banner that is star spangled
Is there such things as demons or angels?
Turning the table
And looking at it from another angle
It was accurate or mislabeled
Rents been due since April
Recently they cut off the cable
And now am down to the last bagel
There has been so much betrayal
Life becoming too painful
Folks getting unstable
No longer faithful
Turning hateful
Doing things that are shameful
And distasteful
Got to set the bar if your able
Because a lack of effort through life is wasteful
Especially while knowing it eventually turns fatal
Life moves fast, so why travel at the speed of a snail
Humans being far too ****
And often telling fables
Being the one to the tip the scale
