My Mind is Out of Order

my mind is a jumbled-up mess,
it thinks it’s a game of chess,
with pawns in a line,
and knights in a bind,
it’s chaos, but i must confess.

it ponders like cats in the night,
chasing things just out of sight,
with dreams in a chase,
and thoughts all misplaced,
it’s nonsense, but it feels just right.

so if you catch me in a tangle,
as my scattered thoughts wrangle and mangle,
just laugh with delight,
and join in the flight,
where logic and silliness dangle.

"it’s a game of chess, with pawns in a line, and knights in a bind" - Grand comparison.

At times, the brain goes on vacstion. Silliness is a great stress reliever. This is an enjoyable limerick.

Nice string of limericks that follow the title perfectly. And each one is so separate from the others, though with similar meanings nonetheless.
