LOVE TRUST

I have lived and learned,
and i thought i had earned
experience, strength,
and mental health.

But one more time,
i trusted and died.

I don´t want to hide,
i just want to be fine.

Once again people lied,
once again a had to cry.

I know it´s not my fault,
and that soon it will be in my past,
but it´s one more scar on my soul.
and probably wont be the last.

Black snow

I love how deep your eyes are
and the spark they have in them
I love how big and your smile is
and the way it gets me
I love your thick, dark and curly hair
and how they move with you
I love your delicate soft hands
and how warm they are when you hug me
I love how caring you are
and always ask how I am doing
but above all i love the feeling i have
when I am around you
and even the feeling i have
when I think about the fact
that I’am never going to have you
but I’m always going to love you

Premium Member Red Leaves

I want no further thoughts of woods each day.
I hold all found and lost on one same eve.
The pangs of loss in memories replay.
From morn to night my heart does steady grieve.

As velvet satin she did clothe my soul.
Each spark in our embrace held love’s best ache.
That she did lay in leaves with me was scroll
My yearning heart had inked for loving’s sake.

In leaves we wove as two inside one dream.
Our passion rose beyond all we had guessed.
The bear I did not see before her scream.
I fought but dead in leaves she lay undressed.

Always red leaves amass around that bear;
Awake or not that view is my despair.

Nightfall

I wait to meet you,
Sun setting upon my fate,
Now night cloaks my tears.

Premium Member Living together

Life, the ambivalent gift
Built of moments, incidents, experiences,
Images in colour, lingering
In cameos, memories, scattered

Blending in feelings
Breezes stirring love, need, fear,
Joy sometimes
All made of precious little bits
Vulnerable to annihilation

From what is listed
Thereof sing
Into the dark
Absorbent void
Which is the future

And sweet life lived together
In the grip of Time
Twists into sadness;
Contemplates forever
What used to be.

Premium Member Frill Of It All

I have an impression about
The exuberant frill of it all
Sorry it leaves no doubt
My world seems to get old
Doctor Tarr and Professor Fether
Set their sights on a safety course
The Sheriff of Tariff goes further
Busy stopping and making wars
The development people erect
Ugly buildings destroying the old
But what can we do about that?
Mammon is an active god
So what would be a place for us
If only you were here?
But you went away from our path
Without meaning to disappear..

My Heart Turns Traitor

I wasn't ready to fall in love
didn't have the time
something inside turned on me
it sold me down the line
wasn't going to fall for love
I couldn't take the chance
my feelings got the better of me
and sold me on romance
didn't want to deal with love
it wasn't in the cards
emotions took a hold of my reins
they sold me to the stars
because my heart turns traitor
when you're around
my mind is made up
but my heart lets me down
and like a Trojan horse
inside the citadel
my heart opened up to you
and I fell

Blink

In a blink of eye
An year passed or as decade
Made all of my dreams dry
With your compassion to fade
Still illusions or I say expectations were high

A Fool's Love

They say love is a fool's game,

Yet I hate that I love you.

I hate how my heart belongs to you.
I hate how every thought returns to you.
I hate how you don't belong to me.

Tell me, why?

When I ask the stars what is radiance,
they speak of your smile.

When I ask the moon what is grace,
it speaks of your elegance.

And when I look into your eyes,
I find myself imprisoned in beauty.

Yet even then,
you still cannot be mine.

I hate how love has made me your fool.

Out of Love

They say all good things
come to an end,
but never did I think that included us.

What we had was beautiful.
You loved me in a way
I never thought I could be loved.
Our love was messy,
but it was ours.
It was imperfectly perfect.

Even though our love is now history,
that doesn't make it any less real.
You loved me,
and I loved you.
But amidst our love,
time and distance played their part too.
They did what they do best,
and in the end,
our love faded.

Or maybe it didn't fade.
But it certainly wasn't the same anymore.
The effortless things suddenly felt like hard work.
Your touch became more foreign with each meeting,
and every conversation felt like goodbye.

Once upon a time, we fell in love.
But instead of happily ever after,
we fell out of love.

Premium Member I Wanna Feel Unbroken

Don’t wanna feel the pain of missing yesterday
When I would see your face across the room
Don’t wanna feel the emptiness inside
Don’t wanna know another day of gloom

I want to know that you are waiting for me
That you are home and I am minutes away
Don’t wanna face what the mirror knows
Don’t wanna say what I have to say

I wanna feel unbroken
I want to be the person that I used to be
I wanna feel unbroken
I just don’t understand the man that is now me

I wanna feel unbroken
Don’t want to hide from people everywhere I go
I wanna feel unbroken
I want to know the happiness that I used to know

Don’t wanna cry each time I sit and eat alone
Conversing with a tired and empty chair
Don’t wanna go to bed with no shared dream
To wake and realize that you’re not there

And how can I be whole when I have lost my heart
And how can I go on, a shattered man
I want to feel the sun shine once again
Don’t wanna feel the only way I can

I wanna feel unbroken

The Echoing Void

Your shadow stands where
you used to stand,
An empty space where I
once held your hand.
The silence echoes with your
quiet name,
The world moves on, but
cannot stay the same.

I watch the sunset fade from
gold to gray,
And count the pieces that
you took away.
A love so deep, now quiet
as a stone,
I never knew how hard it was
to be alone.

Premium Member Grief, the abyss

Loss of a loved one cuts deep.
It feels like we'll never smile again.
We don't know how we'll ever cope.
Friends who care will extend their hand.
Somehow we will manage to go on.

Robin's Love Poems: The Autumn of Our Vows

The hearth grows cold where
once our futures burned,
Unspoken grief fills every
empty space,
We weep for lessons that we
learned too late.
