Premium MemberIF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR A BLESSING

If you’re looking for a blessing today…
or anytime you’re feeling blue…
look into the eyes of your child
or any child
and you will see…
a blessing looking back at you

Premium Memberlooking for the real me

I spend hours a day looking for the real me
contorting and distorting myself, in new directions
feeling pressure from the eyes of my ancestors
my spirit guides cheering me on, to be me, the real me

I slink around furniture, crawl up stairwells, slither into ditches
looking for the real me
my search has brought me close
I find a sliver of myself sometimes in paintings or my poetry

other times I wonder who wrote that stuff
not recognizing the pen or the paints
I refuse to stop; I shall search for me until the day I die.

Premium MemberLooking for Home

we need adult pants
to confront our dreams demise
before time waves bye ~
moving to a sunny state
might turn our sadness around

no more lush yard land
useful outbuildings scattered
old farmhouse we love
maybe sad byes to willows ~
then hi to palms and beaches

we felt this was home
an old house where we belonged
not our shared fate though
so to sun state we will drive ~
with frowns to wear in some months

Neutrality

not this and

not that

a zone which

is not a zone~

stories seem

outside the zone

and the seeker

in the story

looks for the zone

which is not

absent

Premium MemberLooking For Owls

When nightfall dips in palest of gold
I feel a sense of indignity,
As owl's melody loses its eloquence
Through the absence of a safe abode;
Where quietude calls for avian coos
The kind which never seeks to intrude…
And its orbed eyes larger than neons, freeze
In need of natue's hued, aerial parade---

Startled, bird's forest trail is washed out
    By mourning dew of poison
Denying the barren woods of nourishment
while allowing thieves to skin owl feathers,
mangled talons like so, wasted ---

Wise keeper of secrets, hushing the noise.
Life marvels at your nocturnal guardianship
yet, this world shares not your moonlit toots
lithography of hills no longer owns
    your delicate interludes of silence...

Man ravages bird navel, flesh , and plumes
For trading quests, for self- interest ---
    Can this earthly slaughter cease
sucking nectar soil of birds dry?

Somehow, I still hail the dwindling number
   of hooting owls
Which believes that the next generations
will wander on an environ,
Soaring their wings... joyously free at last.

Premium MemberLooking For Love

Some look for love
in a book
in a colorful card --
in a bar
in a junkyard:

I realized late
in life
that love had
already found me

unlocked the love
inside of me….

This isn’t the poem ewe are looking for

Nearly lost my at work because….

…yes someone has died and I think you might be

next

Turn that frown

…only if gravity changes

Are you okay
…well I was until you came closer

Can I phone anyone for you
….the hospital tell them your blood type

I again not a psychopath

but their is definitely traces

If you need a shoulder to cry on

always pick the one with a hunch

Would you like to talk

not really haven’t stopped for most of my life

The person who bought the thing
that the thought they liked
doesn’t

Sony gave away their stock vr units with the new ps5

Sorry that’s an advert in my poem

then I want a percent

Aging …………………………………my poetry
beyond the abed bird

Not having a good day

excuse me I just need to fill up my chainsaw it is in my locker

Premium MemberLooking for Keys At Gotta-Go Time

gosh, look at the time!

he's gotta go
immediately!
wherever he's headed
punctuality is a must,
he can't just go yet...
his mind
in utter disarray,
repeatedly screaming...

"where's my damn keys?!"

as he goes on a tear
for his misplaced keys,
he implores time to slow
to a c r a w l
but she gives him the kiss off.
she's laced up her running shoes
as he searches
frantically;
his inner voice...
wailing like a banshee,
ocean of tumult violently churns
in the pit of his gut.
a mouse scurrying
room to room
wreaking royal havoc;
clothes flying here and there,
the couch flipped upside down.
his impatience
giving way to panic.
meanwhile,
time's already on the run...
daring him...

" catch me, if you can!"

yet the borrowing gopher
paces around the house,
driving himself crazy, then...
he swings his front door open;
sad eureka!
there it is...
on the other side of the door
his keys dangle
in the keyhole.
time now mocking him...
he's late as can be.

i wasn't looking for love

i wasn't looking for Love
but one day Love found me
when i heard about you
and gave my life to thee
a man who laid down his life
with compasion in his eyes
he died for me
no greater love will ever be
Jesus gave his all
and will help us if we fall
when others hurt us and walk away
he is the one who will always stay
he sticks by us through thick and thin
every battle he will win
love and mercy he gives each day
his love is real more than words can ever say. Amen

Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed,” says the LORD, who has compassion on you. Amen

This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us Jn. 3:16

Looking for my place to be

I’ve been long travelling
Across that old ocean
And I’ve seen what was meant
In those long times passed

And what will I send back to you
Diamonds you’ll wear forever
Sparkling shining brightly
For you to remember me

But don’t expect me to return
As I will set my sail to cross that sea
Taking direction from strangers
Looking for my place to be.

Looking For Space

I can still remember in my memory
Those country roads that would take
Me back to west Virginny
Those Blue Ridge Mountains and the river called Shenandoah welcoming me
Like a long lost Friend
It’s been too long and i feel the need to go back hone again
And so I travel on this lonely road
Trying to find my way
Sure do I wish at times I could fly like an eagle
And just fly away
Yet I keep looking for space to find out who I am
Looking for space to know and understand

Premium MemberLooking for Sasquatch

at the edge of Boreal Forest sits a cabin we built ourselves in 1986
the deck became enormous because my man always gets carried away
Big John does everything in excess, going overboard on every project
We relax here a few times a year in the summer, enjoying the lake
Some say they have seen Sasquatch but we never have
I looked for Nessie for a while, but discovered she is in the Great Lakes

Looking for love in all the wrong places

I’m the best in the West, I am true Blue.
I’m the Beast of the East, time to score.
Choose me -I will always love you.
I dreamed it all I got screwed for sure.

I’m the Beast of the East, I hope to score.
I am 62,single am infirm
. I dreamed it all I got screwed for sure.
I am tarnished vase but still firm .

I am 62,single am infirm.
Go to park meet some cutie.
I am tarnished vase but still firm.
I miss the old days,I got booty.

Go to park meet some cutie.
Choose me -I will always love you
I miss the old days,I got booty
I’m the best in the West, I am true Blue

Premium MemberLooking for the unfindable

Looking for the unfindable

Unfindable. Is she missed, forgotten, invisible, lost, maybe dead?
I tried to find her everywhere. Workplaces, pubs, cemeteries, nights,
days, past lives, present life, next lives, in the light, and the dark

She does not exist, and that’s why I am alone in my so paralyzed cold life
Hard fact, hot desire, passing fire, shooting star my life turns on in the light
There is no love, but everything is more than love because life starts death of love

Never happening the love there, only the realistic love of mind, the intellectual light
I will live in the light, follow and take the shiny and glittering objectively realistic life
Oh, Light, come into my heart and shall be the way with your light in the life in mine
