The whooshing of threadbare curtains cuts through deadening silence,
while shadows on the wall toy with a hermit's sanity.
The graze of unseen, jagged fingernails scrapes against sweaty flesh,
injecting poison into subcutaneous tissue,
unwieldily setting the stage.
A heaviness of humid, stale air presses down on compressed lungs,
as maniacal laughter bounces off cracked ceilings.
Buzzing flies circle, swooping down
just to taunt—then vaporize into nothingness.
Muttering voices cling to the inside of a failing cranium,
overtaking a discarded soul, slowly stripping away morality.
Irises blacken, then return to sapphire, before blackening again.
Sitting, rocking back and forth with arms wrapped around legs,
speaking in tongues—
the transformation has begun.
A shattered will; possession seems inevitable.
Fighting feels increasingly hollow.
The smothering venom accelerates.
Chattering crescendos
until your body becomes complete chaos,
and what's left of your soul is trapped within a cage,
locked deep inside the pits of demonic despair.
Her eyes, blue pearls that soothed my soul,
Held me fast and bejeweled maternity.
By her gaze of love, my worth took hold
And a bond was born for eternity.
The light when she smiled, oh the glow
And the stern, loving look of correction.
These led me through highs and lows
And gave my life strength and direction.
Dear mother, you beamed sincerity
In little shrugs or when you waved.
In joy, happiness, grieving and piety
Your eyes, in honest expressions played.
Something transcendent in me raves
And longs for the vision of when
In heaven, revived to see your gaze
My life will be whole again.
Precious few eyes have looked at me
With the God-given sparkle as yours
That could vaporize all despondency
And inspire the greatest of metaphors.
Friend, if you can, gaze again in her eyes
And embrace the moments you're left with.
Too soon her eyes will close where she lies
And the gift of her gaze, will exit.
Within the first slivers of platinum moonlight, fireflies flicker.
Diamond dust from a bygone comet streaks by, piercing electric skies,
whilst a balmy August twilight enwraps an aging porch.
The gleam of a single candelabra casts light upon
harlequin-green ivy that tangles around worn banisters,
while primroses grow through cracks in the weathered stairs.
Creaking tones of oaken rocking chairs serenade hushed crickets.
Silhouettes of frolicking barn owls coruscate,
as the aroma of fresh peach pie floats along, synchronizing with the zephyrs.
Nostalgia-infused memories materialize, then vaporize like morning dew.
Your resounding laughter gets swept away,
like a swift current pulling transient sands of time with it.
Ephemeral remembrances are all I have of you now—
momentary glimpses through the Wheel of Time's mirror,
for it’s just the summer breeze rocking your vacant chair to and fro.
ALL IN A DAY
Mass of aqua drops,
as if some simple dimples dancing on top
of river-waves as ripples non-stop
under soft Sun rays on start of the day.
Mass of aqua drops in fervent fervor
propagating as waves of river.
Morning Sun showed sizzling soon
blazing at hot scorching noon.
Those aqua masses evaporate,
separate themselves from river surface
leaving no trace.
Quick to vaporize
and next to rise up, soaring high
under care of warm air reaching sky.
Clustered at afternoon as clouds in platoon.
Sun was almost down when clouds make frown.
Intermittent drizzling started slow under Sun-glow
That aqua mass now in rain-flow
split Sun rays into rainbow on rapture:
Colorful spectrum- show to be captured
by sky-canvas, oblivious.
Now the aqua mass in form of showers
falling on river top recycling water power.
Please, stop, and look me in the eyes.
You are all flustered, I realize
But I am not willing to hear your cries
Until you settle down and look me in the eyes.
I know this came to you as a big surprise
But the situation here didn’t just vaporize
It didn’t drop down upon us from the heavenly skies
You knew I wasn’t satisfied; there were no lies.
Now that I’m leaving, you won’t hear the whys
Instead you would rather just criticize
It must be MY fault is what you surmise
Because, after all, you are such a good prize.
It doesn’t take a genius to realize
That you and I shouldn’t visualize
A long future together to materialize
The love we share is a convenient disguise.
So, please, stop and look me in the eyes
I want to be friends after these good-byes
There is no need to over dramatize
Its just time we moved on with separate lives.
In the realm where words bear flight,
Let me lead you through the night,
To a place where souls ignite,
And realities shift, ever so slight.
Reverse polarity, a cosmic force,
Unveiling secrets at its source,
A vinculum of awareness,
Where consciousness finds its fairness.
Shift from the body-mind embrace,
And let your soul bear its rightful place,
Not adrift in worldly desires,
But soaring higher, fueled by sacred fires.
Leave behind attachments that bind,
And set your spirit free to find,
A realm where all constraints unwind,
As you journey to the depths of your mind.
Vaporize the limitations of the ego,
Embrace the infinite, let it flow,
Becoming space, expanding wide,
No earthly goals to chase or abide.
For in the realm where souls unite,
We find the essence, the purest light.
Let this guided journey be your key
To unlock the depths of your glee.
To awaken the wisdom, not the plight
In the realm where words bear flight,
Let your spirit soar, let your soul ignite.
In this realm, let us endure the weight,
Let your heart be your guiding light
As you navigate the darkest night,
Trust the whispers, the gentle breeze,
Leading you to the haven of ease.
In the haven where words bear flight,
We transcend the boundaries of wrong and right,
And embrace the beauty of our shared existence,
An eternal dance of love and persistence.
With reverse polarity, we shift our awareness,
To a vinculum of truth, a state of pure consciousness.
No longer adrift in worldly desires,
But anchored in the depths of our soul's fires.
I’d rather be no one
Than just someone to you
I’d rather not exist
Than be part of the crew
I’d rather disappear
Than be unseen to you
I’d rather simply fade
Than not have proper due
I’d rather walk away
Than be another dance
I’d rather hide my soul
Than be second chance
You see, dear, I’m different
Not just part of a crowd
I’m unique, quite special
Does this make me proud?
I know what to offer
I know what I’m made of
I know when to play eagle
I know when to be dove
So my dear, I wait now
For when your eyes will see
The glory and splendor
Of a woman like me
You might be blind to color
Not see my lovely hue
Sweet and precious dear one
Here is a little clue
Multi-colored rainbow
I’m revealed after tears
I come to bring you joy
To banish gripping fears
Each and every color
Is there for you to see
But you only see shades
And not the real me
So I will vaporize
Much like the morning dew
I long to drench like rain
To soak you through and through
But you must long for me
A rain dance must perform
Then I will come real quick
Unleash my pent up storm
I will refresh your soul
Bring to life every dream
I will lead you by hand
To ever flowing stream
Once I see my beauty
Reflected in your eyes
Then I will hover near
Whisk you to paradise
Eileen Manassian Ghali
She held him like a priceless vase
Gently, lovingly in her arms
The promise of love for eternity
Was said without words
He held her tightly
As if she were a dream
That was about to vaporize
He loved her dearly.
Her eyes searched his for doubt
But none could be found
She knew she brought out the best in his weakness
Total submission was her prize
He worked hard to gain her affection
Returning home late, exhausted
But forcing himself the extra mile
To posses her, to make love to her, his dream
While he slaved at work she kept the house
Entertaining gentleman callers
Lustfully spending his love without indiscretion
And denying him at his tenacious appetite
He returned home early to find her
Joyously overwhelmed by her male covertness
He remembered how hard he fought to keep her from
Her expulsion to her home country
She knew her fate, it was sealed in time
She ran after him but the deed was done
It took a moment and they took her in exile to be deported
Her regret trickled down her cheeks as the taste of her fruits matured
As the fulcrum of awareness shifts, soul don't go adrift
Affirmation: We are more than body & mind connection
Let us leave all attachments behind and vaporize,
like space. Mesh with the sun, recognize that we are One.
Like a caterpillar at the beginning stages of life
the egg, the larva (caterpillar), the pupa (chrysalis or cocoon) and the adult
we are solid matter at birth,
Our souls remain in a cocoon stage until we decide
to explore its fibrous non-matter lignon.
Anima is to our souls what the cocoon is to the chrysalis.
A thick protection goes over our souls and the only way
to get it to be a viable spirit, is to use breath and
MEDITATION as our key life chi.
We may not be butterflies, but we have our very own
pupation pitfalls, we are human having a
human experience, with a spirit that wants to be free
to fly.
When we respect our souls and give them proper nourishment,
time and space, they will embrace the human body as it heals.
We are spiritual souls inside a framework made of flesh and blood.
And only when we teach ourselves how to relax, breathe
and accept all that encompasses us, can we truly find inner peace.
