Two Lost Days
Sunday was lost at around Fahrenheit 451
At about the temperature of burning books
Lost in the fog of war in exploded atomic bombs
That vaporize houses and power grids alike
Evaporate the day like nobodies business into nothing
Monday followed Sunday in due course like usual
Just another named day, counted like a lost sheep
Blasted off the orbital path in a nuclear holocaust
Removed with us, hurled into the nothingness
Covered in ash with the evaporated houses
Into the darkness with no more home called Earth
Into the sun we go with two days journey into night
No one left around to count the next five days
Nothing there, not even calendars or clocks
And no more pain or sleep in case you're wondering
