Teenage Mom

She came home one afternoon,
All I saw was a face saturatede in gloom,
She sat me down, eyes filled with tears,
She told me something I had feared for years,
"Sister, I’m pregnant and I don’t know what to do,"
"I am also worried that the dad has been untrue,"
"He lies and cheats and once or twice I was beat."
At this point, I arose to my feet,
She told me she felt he wanted to trap her,
That her mind was in such a blur,
I was not even twenty one,
I felt like my heart had been shot with a gun!
My little sister was barely seventeen,
This was not part of her present dream.
I thought about how we grew up with no dad,
I went from feeling sad to just simply mad,
Wanting so bad to save the day, which I had so often did,
How could I save her this time? She was having a kid!
Mom was the next to know,
A woman strong in her convictions, said "we can’t let this child go!"
9 months later the little girl was born,
We named her Destiny, for God knows my sister was torn.
Three of us girls rose to the plate,
To allow this little angel to become something great,
There have been many struggles, but the joy that she brings,
Has healed our family and makes all who know us sing,
Even out of dysfunction and a mistake,
Bringing her into the world, taught us all what it takes,
To be a stable force in a child’s life,
What Selfless love is without any strife.
Life has its twists and turns,
In ever obstacle there is much to be learned,
When there is love and support that abounds,
Hardship can actually ware a crown,
It is not easy to raise a child in this world today,
So many dads pick up and run away,
But, when you have a strong foundation,
Even in teenage pregnancy, you can find inspiration.
If more children were taught the morals from the past,
Wait untill your married and the guy may actually last,
I believe the rise of this issue would not be so high,
So many teens are looking for love from some guy,
This is becoming such normality,
Teens being mothers is a harsh reality.
There needs to be more support for young teens,
Instead of TV shows that promote it in scenes,
Education and self-esteem,
Will help them to follow their original dreams,
Children raising children breeds’ future despair,
Talk to your teens; let them know that you care.

Have Faith In You

Destiny it's not in the cards for Me
I can't do what I love
I can't be me
So untrue
Living is choosing
To get up
Or fall down
Failing is part of the growing
Taking a stand
Believing in your self
Letting the world see you
Should not be shame upon
You are so much more
You have so much to offer
Despite your trauma
There is a place for you in this time
You are relevant
You have the power to change
Carry on be that star
Be that light in someone's darkness
Help them carry on because the journey out weighs the reward
Be you 110 percent
And it will deliver all you desire
Have faith in you

True Love Is Blind

When love strays, no one knows why it turns
you're caught off guard, with a heart that burns
left with a dry mouth, and a mind that's numb
with no strength to cry out, your pain is mum

Yesterday you felt loved, he was the only thing on your mind
then, you were so sure he was your godsend, such a rare find
yet today you look for answers, answers for the grief you bare
making a vow to yourself, never again to fall in love, you swear

As time passes memories fade, wounds have begun to mend
going out with your friends, once again looking for a boyfriend
this endless cycle continues, maybe there will not be an end
adolescent years with many challenges, never to comprehend

There comes a point in your youth, when happiness you will finally seek
a happiness you now understand, not surrounded by the false mystique
love will not be found by searching for it, it's something that must find you
finally coming to realize, your eyes will only mislead you to a love untrue

Coming to this truth, you acknowledge there is something you need
if you want to find true happiness, and if you really want to succeed
here is the one truth for you to know, the power for this happiness is from above
G-d alone weaves the circumstances, joining two beings with happiness and love

Don't look for consolation to life's disappointments in an illusionary, temporary escape
and do not become content, in the unsafe harbour of your mind's imaginary landscape
joy and happiness and true love in your life, G-d will most certainly cause you to find
perhaps just maybe then you'll understand, why true love must necessarily be blind

Spitfire

A Ring a Ring of Uncertainty
A pocket full of Poppies
And love letter good luck charm's
A Spitfire thrust full throttle
War chariot for a single brave owner
History classes will muse about
With only Bravado and comradeship to battle
The skies fall down
Like propeller blades and expunged pilot's
Not kamikaze rather conscripts
Children of the cause
The Spitfire roars
To parental knocks on door's
Saying sorry for your loss
Came not bearing a heroes body fit for a coffin
But a letter and medal to follow
Hollower
Than bullet hole's
On a Spitfire broken frame
Without a Name
Just another German Claim
Heaven bound for Flanders grave
The trampled fight paths of Spitfire exhausted flame ignitions
Burn like fireworks displays on the 5th November
Into countless mothers tears when dinner tables were left uncleared
Knowing her youngest is never returning home
His flight delayed permanently circling on clear day's
So his mother prays
On sober day's
Behind glazed eyes
Spent , her memory's will never relent
Ever more tired
With only the ire of a rusty old coal fire
As consolation ear
Dissolving into fear
If only God could see her
He would give his son to be her
If god be all
Then god be few
There is nothing life can do for her
War has been untrue to her
There is no cure for her
war

Premium Member AMEN CORNER OF DECEIT

Congregation untrue
Holy on question
Pastor observed
Praise on who?
A church stating Faith
At what length?
Heaven’s look down
Church preaching sin
Heaven’s voice, “This is not gospel, and it must end”
Church marked for Death
A Pastor heading straight for hell
Failure on the congregation forehead
Mislead is not a good deed
Heaven doesn’t approve seeing no proceed
Amen is for the righteous
The Cross represents uplift
The Lord says he stretches out his hands over sin
My gospel can’t be a mockery of pretend
The church was built for my true worshippers
Judgement I shall bring
The church will get the Heavenly raft sting
Get ready
My Angels holding steady
Pastor, preach your last word
Your voice needs to be heard
Utterance is no longer tolerance
Sin not but praise more
My voice you can’t ignore
Everlasting my choice
Heavenly voice

They Say They Know

They say they know me
Sometimes even better than me
Gossiping like ducks
Telling stories without facts

They say they know me
All my weaknesses and strengths
Into my soul and my mind
My kindred spirit you would presume

They say they know me
They sound closer to me than my own skin
Pushing out lies with reckless abandon
These enemies without faces

They say they know me
Perhaps to satisfy a craving, a desire
A need to share part of my story and glory
They say it is part of the price for fame

They say they know me
Yet tell untrue stories of me in my absence
What cowardice! What shame!
I understand; I forgive!

Just like the lake of melting wax, on a candle gives off light,
Life is not about championing the selfish, golden prize!
Hopefully, I stay thankful with all my earthy might.
And, pray that I may one day, be welcome to Paradise.

I know how circuitous and bizarre life can be on this earth.
There are bright poet-angels on this firmament to support you.
But you, poets, know how cherished you were since birth.
Through at time..others are so disingenuously untrue!

From me comes deepest, soul-aqueous blue, appreciation
Blessed by waterfall. lessons on life, I studiously learned.
      Transformations, not spigots of information.
And I know, you each will get all you truly deserved.

Humility
M'Vatel, "Yield to People",
Concealing, Not Ignorance,
But Adequacy, In not Doing 'Nuff,
To Be a Friend, Husband, Servant,
As I Observe Great Figures,
I Hope to Be in their Mold,
Models Wise, Considerate & Kind,
Intelligent, In as much as They are Hidden,
Not Frail, Afraid, Weak or Meek,
Moreover, They Perceive a Need & Share,
What's in Short Supply: Space, Beauty & Dignity,
With Ones Caught in Ego Nets, Traffic Jams.
It's False Modesty to Feed a Bare Rib Stray,
Or Give Feigned Respect to a "Poster Child",
Untrue Sympathy Tastes Like Cardboard,
May My Expressions to Help, Never That,
Honestly Ask, "Am I Acting to Genuinely Unload?",
"What Needs, No Matter How Hard, To Be Done?",
"Is it my Best?", "Am I Deferring, Waiting for Others?",

Premium Member Love in the First Degree

Don't want an attorney I have no defense
for I am ready before any jury to publicly confess
Before you judge me and condemn me cold
I plea for your mercy from all my soul
I cannot live a lonely life untrue
my sweet darling I only love you.

I plea guilty for loving you in the first degree
you can chain my heart and throw away the key
sentence me to a life of loving you
I'll serve my time through and through.

If you judge me and see my chain
I'll lift it up high and gladly proclaim
Yes I am guilty and happy as can be
I'll do the time please never set me free
I cannot live a lonely life untrue
my sweet darling I only love you

I'll serve my time through and through
sentence me to a life of loving you
You can chain my heart and throw away the key
I plea guilty for loving you in the first degree.
