“How shall I speak of the Whole, which is non-dual? How shall I speak of the Whole, which is of the nature of duality? How shall I speak of the Whole, which is eternal and non-eternal? I am the nectar of Knowledge, homogeneous Existence, like the sky”
Be the truth visible or invisible,
whether as manifest or unmanifest,
consciousness is one and indivisible,
pervading all that is, yet always at rest.
Bereft of attributes, Self shines in its light,
beyond space and time, poised in drunken delight,
recognised as vibrance in the heart centre,
the quintessence of life, where bliss beats canter.
when ego truly dissolves
with no phoenix like resurrection
presence is still but the world revolves
seen then as but a thought form projection
not one with but rather as the energy field
as the very substratum of all existence
truth of God unmanifest is revealed
from Whom there is no distance
luminous darkness of high density
motionless consciousness as the all
potent power hum of infinite immensity
within itself creates worlds as a bliss squall
we as a spark of God are in fact the whole
limitation arises from flawed perception
save exhuming ego there is no goal
duality is a matrix of deception
we are God’s self-existent light
fragrance of love is our effulgence
bliss our nature that we frolic in delight
as bliss dew drops on all nodes condense
If it is of the nature of the not-Self,
how can there be Samahdi?
If it is of the nature of the Self, how can there be Samahdi? If it is both "is" and "is not", how can there be Samahdi?
If all is one and of the nature of freedom,
how can there be Samahdi?
Notes:
It - inconscientousness or true realization.
Samahdi - the absorption of the mind in the absolute Brahman* (*all of existence), as a result of which the eternal Truth is realized.
Dattatreya* (* living sage said to have embodied the trinity) maintains that the practice of Samahdi has no justification.
If the universe of our experience is the not-Self, then the true "I" is not in the state of Samahdi, for Truth is not there.
If our experience is of the Self, then Samahdi is superfluous. How can The Self then be in Samahdi?
____________
first things first we must clarify what is meant by Self
it is our true luminous being with no agenda on its shelf
meaning eternal living light, pulsating with delight
unendingly radiating an effervescence soft white
feeling complete, at peace, enjoying unbound freedom
true singularity but not quite in God’s kingdom
with this preamble let us examine the exalted verse
we do so with spontaneity without need to rehearse
ah ~ we must pause to elaborate what samadhi is
it is oh reader not mere knowing but becoming the bliss fizz
akin to the Self, samadhi too is singularity but in passivity
as such lacking freedom, we are there somewhat in captivity
alright, with the preamble put in place we may now begin
we disagree with the scripture but please see it not as sin
having been, seen, become and so known our Self as light
made in God’s image, though complete, we lack clear sight
adding to our woes, awareness bereft of love is barren and dry
which is why we choose to descend to earth that love draws nigh
God alone is, the all there is, both manifest and unmanifest
as such, what is duality and this earth life but a soul test
that the Self, which is who we are, grows in love, wisdom and power
the three fold flame of Christ bestowed by God as a bliss shower
thus why should we negate samadhi or any flavour of life’s incense
all seemingly separate selves are in truth but God’s living essence
We serve people in surroundings seeking service, satisfaction and simple pleasures in return
When someone dies, same is snatched away and we shed tears thinking how we will survive alone
Grief gives a glimpse of innate selfishness of humans who are sorrowful for self even at death.
Grief grows when we are guilty and our guilty conscience pricks
Dwelling deep within, we detect desires and dependence as root cause of despondency
If we selflessly serve somebody sacrificing self satisfaction at the altar of service we seldom have sorrow
Mind makes miseries through mean musings
Meditation and mindfulness mitigate miseries
When mind is in the moment in front, our miseries end and we experience bountiful bliss
Death's deadly blow marks the death of suffering for many
Those who are detached and love selflessly rejoice at death for suffering of loved ones has ceased
Wise wisely welcome death as they are prepared for its presence and perceive permanence of soul

While speaking learned words, you are mourning for what is not worthy of grief. Those who are wise lament neither for the living nor for the dead.
BHAGAVAD-GITA 2.11
All created beings are unmanifest in their beginning, manifest in their interim state, and unmanifest again when annihilated. So what need is there for lamentation?

Bhagavad-Gita is an ancient Indian spiritual book
“Parambrahma causes creation, inert Nature (Prakriti), to emerge. From Aum (Pranava, the Word, the manifestation of the Omnipotent Force), come Kala, Time; Desa, Space; and Anu, the Atom (the vibratory structure of creation).”
~ extract from ‘The Holy Science’
The word Om being the cosmic vibration,
witnessed by time, sends ripples all across space,
as the will of God, cause of all creation,
orbiting heart in mode release and embrace,
which we so feel breath by breath as sensation,
recognising this gift of life as God’s grace.
Be this as it may, we must choose to transcend,
that to the unmanifest realm we ascend.
The first creation was the cosmic egg
Hiranyagarbha, that’s shaped like our head
All souls caged within it, for freedom beg
Taking endless births, till they’re by love led
Polarities balanced, bliss enabled
Life’s lessons learnt, we are from this egg hatched
As divine light which cannot be labelled
We’re the twice born, our aura’s glow unmatched
God dwells in each life form, in the heart’s cave
When ego dies, we see Him in clear sight
But to reach Him, we must be pure and brave
Yearning to entwine, by day and by night
Yet this said, God remains unmanifest ~
Moment by moment, we are by Him blessed
The highest truth is God unmanifest,
one without a second, outside space-time,
resplendent in pristine glory undressed,
renews Himself in Himself as heart’s chime.
As subjective awareness all alone,
energy absolute held in Himself,
vibrant and blissful, occupies His throne,
existing thus as the absolute Self.
A playful intent in heart arises,
to behold His splendour in a mirror,
shape shifting reflection that surprises,
each appearance being His reverer.
To this end, space and time were created ~
In duality, worlds were created
In duality, worlds were created,
conjured in an instant, as of God’s will,
wherein His own polarities mated,
that love in each heart, seeming voids may fill.
Creation, maintenance and destruction,
became the shimmer of God’s lucid dream,
a never ending dance of seduction,
reflected as the glow of a moon beam.
Descent and ascent is the game divine,
where God’s spawned life form enters into trance,
led blindfold by love, for which all hearts pine,
taking life to be randomness of chance.
To awake from the dream is our mission,
ascending ladder of love’s emission.
Ascending ladder of love’s emission,
one that became two, becomes one again,
bliss dissolving ego’s inhibition
and cleansing heart of every lost borne stain.
When we pierce the bubble of time and space,
which occurs on choosing not to react,
ego recedes and God sees His own face,
knowing He is living light for a fact.
God alone is; ego does not exist,
which is realised in meditation,
wherein upon choosing not to resist,
we see our true Self, as God’s vibration.
Substratum of existence, poised in rest ~
The highest truth is God unmanifest
We go through waking, dreaming and deep sleep,
imbibing impressions in accordance with our awareness,
strangely making peace with our self-evident ignorance,
living by instinct, investigating not the truth of our being,
content in nurturing aspirations of decaying body-mind.
Even though we intuitively recognise heart as our centre,
for that is where glimmers of love and light as yet sparkles,
we negate soul’s truth impulse and wallow in the shallows,
in bondage to the incessant cravings of wayward ego,
which offers neither joy in permanence nor wisdom we seek.
Are we an ephemeral entity hanging like a puppet on a string,
an organism seemingly sentient to relay impressions garnered,
a plaything of a loftier consciousness controlling our destiny,
including the way we think, feel, respond and enact our role,
as we flounder about oscillating between fears and desires?
We feel like an object within a dream conjured by a dreamer,
in that we are hemmed in by limitations and have no free will,
for as long as our mind is unconscious and heart unawakened,
we are simply drifting through life like a dead man walking,
full of deluded self-importance whilst knowing not who we are.
Now, if the character in the dream chooses to become detached,
nonchalant to outcomes and becomes a witness to its existence,
this silent rebellion by thought cessation ends the dream sequence,
whereupon the dreamer, the subject and the dreamed object merge,
that both as one awake together within the drama being so enacted.
Extrapolating from this line of intuitive introspective contemplation,
we opt to meld our head with the heart in resonation with love,
animating our attention in agendaless vibrance innate to our being,
bilocating between this here duality manifest and singularity unmanifest,
thus transcending by becoming both immanent and transcendent.
“One being freed from the grip of Ahamkara attains his unmanifest state like the spotless moon becoming full after eclipse.” ~ quote from the Adhyatma Upanishad
thoughts seem to arise without volition
but mindful eye traces heart as the source
wherefrom vibrations emoted in morse
seek from mind as symbols, their rendition
desires of heart cause intent’s emission
but is the impulse rooted in remorse
ego-driven, prone to applying force,
unlike vast space that has no ambition
negating transience, our ego recedes
and yet object-free awareness remains
whence stepping outside space-time we then see
self-existent light within which love breeds
representing flame of heart free from stains
made in God’s image, vibrant and carefree
“PARAM-DHYANA (the supreme meditation) should be upon Tejo-bindu (the seed or source of spiritual light), which is the Atma of the universe, which is seated in the heart, which is of the size of an atom, which pertains to Shiva, which is quiescent and which is gross and subtle, as also above these qualities”
~ extract from the Tejo-Bindu Upanishad
Made in God’s image, we are living light,
which is what we must meditate upon,
dwelling day and night in bliss drenched delight,
trouncing ego, becoming the twice born.
Resting thought and negating senses five,
we break free from the cage of time and space,
in the vibrant void, at peace and alive,
in the oneness field, beholding God’s face.
To connect with God’s light is our mission,
requiring our form to be magnetised,
with heart as the source of bliss emission,
wherein we meld that God be realised.
Vanquished are desires and banished are fears ~
We walk in the void and the path appears
We walk in the void and the path appears,
created by grace and sustained by trust,
that as bliss magnetism feeble form spears,
God’s magic transforms body made of dust.
Staved of attention, unfed ego dies,
falling off as does a leaf from a tree
and as the false falls away, our heart sighs,
shining as light of Self, finally free.
Beyond space-time, Self mirrors God’s heartbeat,
possessing full freedom but no desire,
devoid of attributes, feeling complete,
presence is as it is, the cosmic fire.
In true singularity, as God’s spark ~
We shine as light that banishes the dark
We shine as light that banishes the dark,
yet even though there’s nothing to be done,
Self yearns for love on an ascending arc,
by merging in God’s heart, becoming one.
Beyond love comes wisdom and then power,
entwined in a singularity field,
where within oneness God does empower,
aspects of Himself by will he does wield.
The light of Self, being our true essence,
is God’s light which we meditate upon,
the unmanifest as our quintessence,
that that never dies and is never born.
We reflect on eternal Self day and night ~
Made in God’s image, we are living light
