Ashtavakra Gita Verse 1:18 revisited

1.18
“That which has form is not real
Only the formless is permanent
Once this is known
you will not return to illusion”

Brahman or God absolute unmanifest,
is luminous darkness, tightly packed and still,
pulsating with potent power, whilst at rest,
wherefrom all worlds are created by His will,
bubbles in space-time, where desires are addressed,
whence the love dove perches on soul’s window sill.
All that’s created, in time will disappear ~
Wake up and realise there is no one here

I suppose this is from some religious document. The Bible says that God is light and that the light drives out the darkness. Interesting theory in this one. Sara K

Yes, US, when reading the Bible most Christians find that they see something new each time it is read or all of a sudden reading a scripture a new word or line comes alive on the page. It is wonderful when I see something that I have never seen before and have my eyes opened. Thanks for the explanation. Sara K

The Ashtavakra Gita is a pure non-dual text, difficult to comprehend unless direct recognition precedes study of the teaching, which is a paradox, because then the teaching is not needed. Still, it is helpful too, since awakening can be progressive, in stages, though for some it is instantaneous.
