There's an old English song called All Jolly Fellows That Follow The PLow. The tune works fine as is for the chorus and with the verses if the tune for the 3rd and 4th lines is repeated for th 5th and 6th. Well, it works for me but my singing has never been much hindered by tunes.
It was after that big game one long gone September,
the score line was one I’d like not to remember,
in a small Richmond pub not too far from the ground,
we all settled down with our sorrows to drown.
We were well on the way, as were most of the crowd,
when in came a young pedlar a shouting out loud.

So through high mountains, cliffs
And rocks she trickled
In a gathering streams, in rivulets
Of tears, mouths open
Her bosomed skin slipped as ice
Pain built up the rage within
And sorrow brought it to the light.
Green – the color of fast and deep
White – the foam that came in waves
Along the long and joyous vein
She spreads her long body
Knee bent, her heavy breasts pinned
Blasted, rippled by the wind
She’s touched only by old earth’s hand
Its gravity like a naked man
Basking in her pools
Her faces and belly ghosting him, a mirror.

He’d definitely miss the delivery,
Most likely the 1st birthday

She’d have to do this one on her own
He was leaving to fight a war, flying out today
He’d call her when he could,
He would write her everyday ,
But most of all he’d pray to God
That if anything -
she’d be forever safe

The letters, they kept arriving
They made her laugh and cry and weep
She’d read each one again out loud
Every night before she’d sleep
Then there’d be a note just for the baby
Words of love sent from his daddy
Telling him one day soon,
Soon, they would meet
After each letter she’d kneel and pray,
To God and the Heavens above
Please God, if anything,
please keep him safe

Forgive me, please.
I speak these words too late.
You have been long already in the other world,
And God welcomed you.
But I want to thank you today.
I thank you for your patience and modesty, boldness and kindness,
I thank you for force of your spirit and generosity of your soul.
All this has helped you during terrible 900 days of blockade of Leningrad
to live, give and rescue the life of my most dear person,
your son Vladimir.
He was born on November 6, of 1941,
when Leningrad was surrounded by the German armed forces.
You came back to work a month later after his birth.
You had not enough food or warmth in your apartment,
You worked together with men from morning till the late evening
In a huge foundry. It was very heavy work.
It was too heavy a time for such a small, fragile woman like you.
But you never complained.
Your husband was lost, dying to protect Leningrad from fascists.
You met death around you very often.
But you worked for victory and a life for your son.
Once, when you have taken him from his bed to feed,
a bomb fell right on that place where he had been laid!
You have again rescued him.
You are not present with us already many years.
But I remember your nice smile
And I see your features on the face of my husband
who is the most important person in my life.
I hope you hear me
and I ask your blessing and protection.
Oh how sweet and beautiful are the words
that you say to me, they stick to my soul
like honey to a bee. They move me,
they soothe me, they let me live, for
it is you that I need and my heart
I will give.
You touched me like I never have
felt before, you start my heart breathing
so fast until I can hardly let go.
I feel your words like sand on a beach
they are still in my head and will never
decease. Your words are so brand
new and alive, for they are the only
thing that is helping me to survive.
You touched my heart like no other I have
known, the way in which you love me
I wil never do you no harm. Your words
is like an ocean running free, all I want
them to do is pour all over me.
You touched my heart like a child playing
with a toy, he love it so much because
it brings him so much joy. That is how
you touch my heart, giving and bringing
me so much joy, it makes me feel like
a child with his new toy.

life, that is why I do not care about all
the sacrifice. I wil do everything to make
you happy just as long as I know I am
the apple of your eye and that you will
do or say nothing to make me
cry.

Some people live in misery afraid to spend a dollar bill is one a friend but he just
won't let it go. The man walks or rides his bike even in the snow not using public
transportation anywhere he goes. A Child is young too young to knoe just what
money's for. She takes the dollar in her hand and keeps it never spending it and
never letting go.
