In the Shadows

Softly she whispers my name in the shadows. So
Gently I pull her in close in the shadows. I
Breathe in her breath and she breathes in my breath, then we
Dance that same dance once again in the dark.

She quickly surrenders when I start to tickle.
I know every nerve on her that makes her giggle.
I kiss her neck and she kisses my neck, then we
Dance that same dance once again in the dark.

After the dance we both sigh in the shadows, so
I’ll hold her close till she sleeps in the shadows. I’ll
Deal with my world and she’ll deal with her world, till we
Dance that same dance once again in the dark.
