Thicket of intermingled branch tangle
Hides pimple shine ripe juice strawberries strewn
Across pine needle pick up stick mangle
Fragrant lily pink tang gives tasty boon
Hook horseshoe slender stems support balls' dangle
Gloss hanging globes celebrate scarlet balloon
Bountiful renewed eruption of Spring
Sprouts floated fruit fit for a fairytale King
Hidden in haven bed of duvet shade
Shielded precious berries, safe from predator
Sweetest treats endorse purely Heaven made
Cones pushing petals exalt Mother Nature
Lanterns swinging China Town of gloomy glade
Lined foliage raises redness in rapture
Emblem of wild leaf crown insignia
Represents righteous memorabilia
Humble hunter uncovers last month's melt
Freshened season floods taste buds in wonder
Tart bumpy tongue tid bits brazenly dealt
By pine imbibed wildness growing under
Woodland umbrella where I'm gladly knelt
Gaunt Winter cruelty is cast asunder
God's lollies extend tender umbilical
Sun warm strawberry snack sabbatical

PASSION
Enchanted in beauty of red rose,
Mesmerized in romantic aroma,
Drone dreamed to drown in love, coming too close.
‘Oh! My sweet heart! Oh! My pretty prima!
Hornet warned ‘Never venture to put nose.
Don’t dare. Thorns will prick closing love-drama.’
Drone buzzing ‘To kiss, to sniff pearly charm,
Thorny bruise, I will always welcome.’

Ottava rima Poetry Contest by Janis Thompson
This is the place of my song dreams
the spot where my soul sings alone
here where my name is Kareem
I have found my lot overthrown
This is the place of my song dreams
a place for poets without memes
Love holds its own inside this heart
here you will find each hue of me
Canvassed in the light, I am Art
and part of God's fine artistry.
Love holds its own inside this heart
canvassed in the light, I am Art
In this parking lot I call life
I have learned without disparage
Been acute like an honest wife
and lived until a ripe old age
In this parking lot I call life
I never focused on the strife
It's near midnight, whilst we moonlight walk
Palm tree lined fairway, Crickets singing
Hands clenched in loving vacationed talk
Hearts in wanting pound, Batangas is bringing
We, she and I, now amidst our intending lock
Serenity is the scene blessed by lunar watch
So late, but joyous we, soon our lips are speaking
Clouds now hover as we witness natures rain
Our apartment is distant, we welcome given
Through broken lunar light, stroking her mane
My hands in taken then, sensuously they're driven
Kiss me quiet is whispered, hearts now in reign
Walking, slowly walking, absorbing to us this night
Hearts in touching pound, Batangas has brought
.
She’s a vixen without knowing it
Her big, wide eyes can tear men apart
And gals get jealous, but won’t admit
How Betty Boop’s poses rock the heart!
When she coos high, a blown skirt would lift
More tempting that Monroe’s photo shot;
Batting curled lashes like twilight feathers
As curvy hiplines would lightly slither.
Tired of fame, Betty changes her style
Wearing a hula to cover those knees
Oh fans start to ponder for a while,
How the red hair looks like a disease
With earrings gone, where’s the real profile?
A disguise which makes guy s whine, “Don’t tease!”
But the wind ruffles Boop’s grass costume
Revealing a gathered thigh in full bloom!

Shifting from head to heart, we begin to feel,
throb of aliveness that eludes lower mind
and as pristine presence ignites flame of zeal,
both fears and desires harboured are left behind.
In timeless time zing of silence gains appeal,
as we imbibe bliss that cannot be defined,
being but God’s all-pervading magnetism,
that fully enlivens our mind-body prism.
To garner God’s grace thus, there’s nothing we do,
except to choose to get out of our own way,
by feeling in staid silence each hue as new
and navigating life as though it’s mere play.
Heart tranquil and eye nonchalant we renew
vibrancy of consciousness thus day by day,
witnessing the ebb and flow of sensations,
borne of deluded ego’s aspirations.
"We ourselves feel that what we are doing is just a drop in the ocean. But the ocean would be less because of that missing drop". Mother Teresa
Moonlight shimmers on the phlegmatic ocean.
Creating a whimsical billow of prose.
On the zenith of the print's folds, as spoken.
The carol "Induces Sleep" by Seas' Compose
With a sweep of waves, echoing your passion.
Gloom made him unwise; life was a growing rose.
Red-colored ripples amidst the white-blue foam
The moments are short, and my love is now home.
Seeing the crest of crimson sunset ripple
The azure ocean disappears after night.
And each time I get adjacent, I whistle.
It's a cool way, yet tough in a high stake fight.
Earth is waning, and all are growing little.
I can't cross the lines, and wait for morning light.
Body, blood, and anguish are racing on board.
Rainbow prism waves tendril moist to kiss the chord.

In times truly simple and harmonious,
faith shined with ardent love...to never lead anyone astray,
and light was never overcome by darkness;
He heard our prayers and granted us joy,
no days were wasted chasing after man-made idols:
now-days those human idols still corrupt and deceive us
with lurid lyrics and satanical music...
'till we become their puppets dangling from a string!
Reach down to us...whom are lost,
lay out all the facts and impose the tremendous cost
for opposing Your will with that wary disobedience;
indulgence is rampant and pleasure is everywhere...
the young have no limitations in their actions,
and the murderous never deflect from their course!
Have we seen another Savior who can make us surrender:
and be aware of our sins and injustice?
In generations past, family was the foundation of happiness...
all gathered at a table topped with abundant food and celebrate
after saying, ' Grace ' to unleash their thoughts in conversation so elaborate;
today, they have fallen apart and given up on that closeness,
and not wish for a return to the warmth which glowed into their smiles:
they're glued to a wide screen with images of murder and violence!
The modern man is forbidden to be godly, but be altruist and invulnerable...
detaching himself from the heart's pure affections and consider himself invincible!
Reach down to us...whom are lost,
neither riches or fame can make us complete;
we weren't were born with the natural instinct:
to discern good and bad things.. even wrong and right:
without enlightenment and sought wisdom!
If Satan is still in control, we're to blame for letting this happen;
dedicating Him ballads of arrogant and obscene themes and, without concern,
we engage in a marathon of death and gloom!

Sooner go words inconsequent,
For long stays silence eloquent.

Dawn’s early sun was unfolding its mat of golden rays,
The sky still showed traces of dawn’s soft reddish glow,
Air was imbued with promise of warn days.
What would Buddha say, disciples were keen to know,
Awaiting him to come and say a few words of grace
After a long-held silence, profile low,
As anxious chatak bird awaiting rain,
And keen to quench their thirst and his blessings to gain.
At last, he comes out from long seclusion,
Palpable gets the silence all around,
A bird as if from nowhere comes there all of a sudden
And starts to sing in a voice all so sound,
To pour its joy and bliss as if from vast ocean
As did Buddha from inner joy unbound,
Spell-bound, he holds long-held restrain
Imbibing eloquent silence and song’s melodious strain.
He kept listening till the end, as if to say encore
As all the vast gathering there,
His eyes still closed as if to listen more,
To focus, concentrate on divine fare.
There was no need to say a word more heretofore,
He returned to his hut, silent as ere,
The silence was his discourse for the day,
This sound of deep stillness the world has lost today.
No word can say more, no silence so tall,
Nor is there a discourse that speaks so sure,
Words rarely mean the same to all,
Nor their presence for long endure.
Alas, man’s turned a vendor of words not so small,
Suffering their limitations lost in their lure.
And words enemies are in search of Self,
A mask that helps him to hide his true self.

Note: Ottawa Rima in iambic, meter unbound. A chatak bird, Jacobin cuckoo, is said to quench its thirst only from rain drops directly caught in its mouth.
“Self-limit not God’s bliss, that is ours to claim ~
Becoming living light, we fulfil life’s aim”
~ quote by poet
Given that what comes and goes is unreal,
it’s futile pursuing objects of desire
and so ceasing thinking, let’s begin to feel
magnetism divine sublime, our inner fire,
which renews forever, humming bliss appeal,
being but our soul’s light, we seek to acquire.
When our false self dies, this bliss is ours to hold,
rapture without end, that cannot be controlled.
