Prey

Quick bold drums start out loud
Pounding out the terms of war
Race through the frantic jungle thick
Rhythms of pursuit take to the beat

Let the chase begin with heart in mouth
Track down the sun burnt frantic man
Stripped naked by his captives
They pushed him into foliage of the doomed
Now running through entanglements

Strangled in the vines for ancient crimes
Hate has no boundaries when not of the clan
Primal blood can not be satiated

Carbon men shoot long arrows, cannon fire from the camp
Small dark people with evil minds advance
Send the prey into unkind environments

To grounds and undergrowth with shouts
Demise looms on horizons mist for him
Already tortured from the womb
On pounding feet he bleeds while pressing through
In strange surroundings with open wounds

Shots ring out after the enemy make the naked prey
Lay eyes on him in day light with pure hate
Follow every footfall falling on the ground

The ugly trees take a couple of hits
Splinters fly out, shatter living wood, as their demise is sure

Old riffles and loaded guns come with the hunters
Limited only by so many bullets screaming through the trees
To kill their prey, to bring the head back intact
Numbers don't lie. Momentum is on their side

Why the man has gone missing is a mystery
A cause for strain with sweat and grimace
Small men with evil minds intent become confused

Bugs gather around the fugitive
Make configurations for a meal
Moving keeps him from them and their appetite

He runs in heat with fear and heavy lungs
Filled with humidity he breaths no peace

Keeping quiet requires concentration
The wind must cease to speak for silence
Hiding is a science

Snakes want more than the mosquito
No time to turn about or study wings or feet-less creatures
Insects survive by flying from disaster
He follows them into the swamp
Lives under water for awhile
A long hollow reed for breathing
Comfortable for a time with larva breeding
Tickling his frail and fragile body
There is nothing wrong with wanting to survive
Life, like bullets, fly by

With Spirit and Strength

Powers beyond measure wearing messages of the spirit,
BALD EAGLE soars with might, so majestic I can hear it.
bestowing freedom flying higher than any other bird,
and under ivory stars his squall can be heard.

Symbolizing courage with intense eyes for prey,
the strength of the BALD EAGLE is always on display.
The distance of mother nature provides such nobility
and has brought faith to humanity and given dignity.

Powerful and robust is the BALD EAGLE in flight,
a predator during the day and on watch at night.
Native Americans see them as a leader for vision,
            without restraints or stipulated provision.

Spirit totem waving fortitude to all who can hear,
and all animals that lay eyes on him show fear.
His tenacity and endurance are countless and dignified,
as food for his fledglings he strives to provide.

He is proud to be the American national emblem,
with those silky-smooth feathers; flying with momentum.
Pueblo Indians associated them with energy of the sun,
holding great perception until the dawn of day is done.

The bald eagle is predatory and carnivorous,
from elk to ravens his diet is so tremendous.
He sheds light down to show vigor exists
because eating flesh and fish is what he persists.

I chose the bald eagle not just for his splendor,
for he’s a spiritual bird and an offspring defender.
He’s a national freedom beautiful representation,
and should never be held in cruel captivation.

You

Someone asked me what I would do for a klondike bar
And I replied
I don't really know, but I do know what I'll do for my Boo Boo Bar
I'll go thru anything with u, do anything for u
Go to the highest mountain top
And yell out……… ILUVU!
Because I’m a fool for u
I'll swim across the deepest ocean to get to u
And since I just remembered that I can't swim
I find a paddle boat, and I paddle my ass across the deepest ocean for u
If I could go back into time I would go back to meet u @ birth
And I'll grow old with u I'll even walk through World War 3

There's just something about U when U do that thing
That u do
When I lay eyes on U I can't explain that thing
So don't ask me too, but Wooooo.......
There's definitely something about U
that makes me feel the way I do
That makes me feel like......
Like the bionic man flying high above cloud 9
Like superman and acting a fool
With Dick Clark on American Bandstand and yes Girl......
I'm a real big fan of Ur curves
And how they fit U perfectly
U got a new meaning to the term size sexy
The works of great art is want I'll call
Ur skin tone and if I can be honest
I've got a Jones in my bone for U
And that thing that U do when ur doing the things that u do best
And that's when U're just being u

The Strength of the Bald Eagle

The mighty bald eagle soars with grace overhead
wearing ivory feathers to show all he is leader.
Powerful orange talons watching as all his prey fled,
then perches on the barren branch of a red cedar.

On top of the mount he awaits his next victory
full of intense strength and resounding resilience.
Man bears shame who holds him in captivity,
for eagles deserve to be free flying in brilliance.

A spirit totem whispering to all who can hear
that his tenacity and endurance is dignified.
All animals that lay eyes on him show fear,
as food for his fledglings he is trying to provide.

In fortitude he flies above with determination.
He guards the sky, for it is where he belongs.
He fights for his family with verve concentration
knowing that he will hunt all who wrongs.

The bald eagle is predatory and carnivorous.
He sheds light down to show freedom exists.
From elk to ravens his diet is so tremendous
because eating flesh and fish is what he persists.

I chose the bald eagle for not just for his splendor,
but also for being nature’s beautiful representation.
He’s a spiritual bird and an offspring defender
and should never be held in any kind of captivation.

If I Ever See You Again

Written By: D. Collins 4/26/24

If I were to ever lay eyes on you again.
I'd say, I'm not perfect, but on the high end.
We put in work for a good, long time.
Raised each other's kids to get on with life.

I hope we did a good job in cutting strings.
Making them realize hunger is the thing.
That's big business that really matters to me.
To know people, you've touched are bound to succeed.

If I ever were to see you again, I would freeze.
Wondering what you possibly saw in me.
We were in it for a minute, and it felt good.
I would have seen it to the end, if I could.

Our lives keep moving, with or without us,
Forgetting the people who gave the utmost love.
If I ever were to see you again.
I'd say to you what could have been.

Grey

A few things represent me:
The color grey for example,
She's a beaute, isn't she?
I've felt drawn to her, especially when my soul had been just that, grey.
It has then gone on to taint my soul, my heart, my mind at every occasion.
It would have been a crime not to paint my destiny in her.
But what else is there?
The familiar scent of rejection?
The agonizing taste of nostalgia?
No?
Maybe the 21 awards I'd trade without a sigh's moment worth?
The glasses that crack due to the heavy weight maintained in my scalp?
The hauntingly mesmerizing words turned sour?
A promise I'm not morose in person?
I've often heard that you'd rather lay eyes on my soul's vessel than hear the cries of the same very soul.
Of course, I've only ever heard it from the third layer that daunts my soul, the very one that hurts at the mention of it.
She's obviously accompanied by Grey;
Like a fairytale in a child's dream, they become inseparable.
But heed her warning.
Stay away from the sharp turn of phrase that she takes, because soon you'll be a spectator to the ever-running show of gut-wrenching twists that is my mind.

My Beautiful Little Angel

God decided to take you before I got to spend any time with you
I wanted to at least be able to hold and kiss on you during your life time
But before I got to lay eyes on your beautiful little face
He took you away to an Angelic place

He took you to heaven for you to stay
And that is where you will always remain
A very cruel man hurt me just so he could take your precious life
And now my heart will forever be filled with this permanent strife

I know that you will never be here with me
And that you are in Heaven with our Heavenly Father
That helps my heart ache just a little
But nothing will ever take away the piece of my heart that I buried with you
My Dear Gabriella Diane Courtright, I Love You!
And you will always be My Beautiful Little Angel!

I have wrote this poem for my precious baby girl that I had to bury exactly one month
ago today. I would gladly trade places with my daughter Gabriella right now. I wish
that cruel man would have let me carry you to term that way you could have kept the
Spirit that You and I share Alive.
Your Loving Mother,
Tracy Diane Vilardo

Dedicated to Kyle, My Darling Son
There was no joy when I gave birth,
scary words kept getting worse.
When my baby boy was born
every face was quite forlorn.
He came fresh from our Creator
to be placed in an incubator.
I could not take him in my arms
or shelter him from any harms.

Doctors all had dooming words.
Negativity was all I heard,
“He may never… and he may not ….”
Oh, how I prayed this would stop.
He was two days old when I was told
I could finally lay eyes on his face.
Tubes and wires were every place
in a sterile, see through trundle,
where laid my precious bundle.
Suddenly, I felt a sign and less sad
because my son looked like my Dad,
who had amazing, sure willpower.
I couldn’t have heard God any louder,
saying, "like your Dad, your son’s a fighter."

And fight he did, my beautiful son,
my heart, my love, my special one.
For three months he grew and thrived
defeating all odds of staying alive.
Then on hospital day forty-five,
he came home on his first ride.

Premium Member Medicines For Eyes and Heart

Usually, I will look out my window
And lay eyes on the most beautiful flowers;
Or Crepe Myrtle trees beautifying the lawn;

Or in the early mornings, watch a sunrise with teary eyes;
Or in early evenings, watch a sunset take my breath away;
Or in late Fall, gaze at flocks of birds heading South for the winter;

Or smile at a high-speed rabbit hopping and running;
Or stare at a bird with tiny eyes that never seem to set;
Or moving, ominous clouds preparing for a storm or rain;

Or awesome and blasting winds blowing heavy rain;
Or feed crops preparing themselves for harvest; Or a
Huge farm tractor and equipment covering the roadway;

Or feast on the canopy filled with both white and grey clouds;
Or earth tones of the brown ground, green trees, and grasses
Covering the landscape; Or a host of other heavenly medicines
So helpful and healing to the eyes and hearts of any and all.

Summer scintillating with blossoms of purple and gold, while beneath
Umbrella stars, the magic of an enchanting evening takes her breath away
Moon glow above waters, verdant trees that fan the expanse of the sky
Macaron sweet scented air, a chiffon scarf blows in the wind, she sits at the
Edge of the water and prays to the angels above. Please send me someone to
Revere and to love. While the gentle waves lap, curl and cover her, he arrives!

Love at first sight, that is what it was for her, when she first lay eyes on him.
Orbiting her world he smiles and suddenly two celestial bodies meet,
Veering towards each other, long forgotten echoes of the past, heard once again
Eager to conjoin they fuse like sky and ocean, by the eye of a fading sun.
