If I Ever See You Again
Written By: D. Collins 4/26/24
If I were to ever lay eyes on you again.
I'd say, I'm not perfect, but on the high end.
We put in work for a good, long time.
Raised each other's kids to get on with life.
I hope we did a good job in cutting strings.
Making them realize hunger is the thing.
That's big business that really matters to me.
To know people, you've touched are bound to succeed.
If I ever were to see you again, I would freeze.
Wondering what you possibly saw in me.
We were in it for a minute, and it felt good.
I would have seen it to the end, if I could.
Our lives keep moving, with or without us,
Forgetting the people who gave the utmost love.
If I ever were to see you again.
I'd say to you what could have been.
