Strolling down a bustling road full smiling of people
A vast array of hues bursting forth to greet the eye of the beholder;
Music cascades from the various shops and one of the passing cars
Laughter pleasantly warms the chilled air.
Without warning the pull of gravity multiplies and both hands slap the pavement;
Looking up, time slows to thick and syrupy consistency
The music is now all but gone and voices are distant as if underwater
Stomach dropping, insides are replaced by complete emptiness.
The concrete liquifies and rises rapidly over wrists and elbows
Before able to push off rock bottom, the surface becomes the sky
The temperature drops and limbs solidify as heavy as lead
Lungs begin to burn as fingers claw upwards.
A scream of anger tears from the lips,
Rapidly boiling the water and the streams of bubbles blind;
From the steam, tongues of flame lick from the fingers
Tar black smoke sears both mouth and nose.
The eyes blink away the smoke to reveal the very same street
But the colors now faded and dull,
Looking wildly around people still laugh and walk on by
As if nothing happened.

Tempting balm tonics reposed fantasist,
Panacea liquifies mirage views,
Crafts allusive lofts energies persist,
Twain heart's favor lips a desire to schmooze.
Elixir defines the gist of lovers,

Hearts and souls, supernatural pleasures,
Cascade gifted juice as meant lips puckers.
Charts a course of innumerable sips,
Bottled refinery impatient lips,
Passion extremes supple to its excess,
Forward sweethearts immortal kiss access.
Tinctured herbs ripen souls remarkably,
Drink-filled lovers strengthen eternally.

THE WILD GOOSE CHASE*
I accidentally let one loose
did you see that thing vamoose?
It gave me the slip, did you see?
Now that thing is awfully free.
I walk on pins and needles, friend.
Trying to find, I twist and bend.
You ask why I pull up the rug,
why I pull out every plug.
I raise my hands over my head
and flip over each unmade bed.
I flip out, scratch, harrumph, grumble,
dash around corners, stumble.
At night I turn off all the lights,
sit in the corner, battle bites.
I listen for terrible sounds.
My eyes dart round and round and round.
Afraid of where that thing will land —
on the mountain or in the sand.
I feel empty of all this gas.
I miss the sound of golden brass
and the smog that liquifies eyes,
the way your ribbon twists and lies.
The putrefaction of butt —
the stinker where we blame the mutt!

Bitterness is a black pool of bad poison
And when it liquifies it saturates once warm and loving hearts
Leaving them ice cold, ill and frozen
Whoever it has chosen they chose bitterness first
It is more awful than anger with it's slow soul corrosion...
Like a creeping mad curse
It's voice speaks the next verse leaving it's listener feeling justified but still jaded and jagged
Like a sour off key symphony of souls...shattered spirits too rough around the edges...too raw and too ragged
Truth tellers can tag it...still it's victims claim it's a virtue and never a vice
Take a word of advice!
Get rid of that garbage before your days turn darker and your sad life soon decays
Give it to God! Get on your knees and pray

Craters, silently sleep.
Land and People all at it's mercy
milleniums of years rising
suddenly hissing
Days of loud snoring
it's belly turning and churning
Gases rising from it's indigestion
as it liquifies the earth
It's relief spreads wide
to our misfortune
a mega explosion
as the crater finally throws up
exploding spew releases lava.
Fire balls directed at unknowing targets
it's ulcer has erupted
reshaping the land,
diminishing air quality
wiping out civilizations
creating new species
building earth where there was none
It's quiet.........
all that is left is it's chaotic
stance.
Devastation a reminder of it's presence.
For now,
It, sleeps again.

Your smile liquifies my hardened soul
Slowly changing it into a candle-shaped desire
That steadily burns away to take its toll,
As my dream evaporates higher and higher.
As it gently reaches the clouds of hope
Reverses back into a sweet surrender
Falling on your lips in rounded drops of love
Carresing your eyes and skin so tender.
It gathers strength and rises evan greater
To take your fears and hide them far away
To take your cry and turn it into laughter
So you'll be happy and cheerful every day.
Finally gliding down to you in rhythmic flights
It wraps itself arround your gentle heart
To keep you warm in the long, cold winter nights,
Making sure we're never too far apart.

another wink of day creases
from the lofty dappled spaces
glowing in twilight's splendor
through the slightly opened door
the soft melancholy matures slowly
that once emblazed the black immensity
when the dainty streaks of light
herald the beaming yonder's knight
the cold hazy light dissolves the stars
seeping in through the earth's reservoir
into the ocean of green shrubs and trees
and a horde of butterflies and bees
the hills are drenched with crystal dew
then softly glow with flaming hue
when the first beams of dawn
repaint the earth's cocoon
the sleepy mountains' crest
serenely swim out of blue mist
greeting the royal sunbeams
with jolly bird's cheers
the morning beauty liquifies
before my thirsty eyes
catching me half a dream
as the splendid spectacle
embrace my captivated soul
