Lense Poems

A Letter from the Ravens

after Alone, by Edgar Allan Poe

We understand you Poe,
You saw the world through a darkened
lense-- The passions you sought
were from a spring that was filled
with pleasures most twee--- One's
sorrow is uniquely painful from
another's, don't fret now Poe, for there is
worse to come-- That is not true
Poe for the Ravens who know you won't
let you love alone-- No one is
there to prepare you from the storm
of grief --But, the Ravens here
wish to bring you the joy of a little
peace-- the buzz of a bumblebee, the
soft hills that surround the
cliffs of the mountain-- the light
patter of rain before a downpour
so mighty-- Poe forget not, after
the trees have shed their leaves and
a silver glow fills the sky-- the dawn
of spring lurks 'round the corner too--
with its lighter rays that look so
ancient and cool-- The murder
says the blue you see is merely
a coating of deceit --- To hide
our clouds and the thunder that
shakes us-- Don't worry about the
cloud-- For the demon in your view
was but an angel in another form.

Premium MemberAm I saying it right

Your Sorrow is a story
That follows a hidden path
Mountains of accomplishments
But stuck living in the past

Her voice of silence says more
Then the words made from sound
Like lightning that hits a tree
It's the thunder that shakes the ground

Eyes that hold the secrets
And a soul held back by chains
Love is the key
But the mind plays a dangerous game

Yes your path is hidden
Your sorrow may lead the way
Your future is uncertain
Just smile, it'll be ok

Your eyes do tell the story
A universe rolled up in gems
Heartache in every corner
True beauty stuck within

I know your voice is silent
I feel your quivering pain
I wish I could take it from you
So you knew what you had to gain

A love you've never seen
Emotions locked away
A life you thought not possible
With an ending much the same

Love is the key
The heart can be the lense
The mind will always be the perception
But it doesn't have to win.

Spring is when the earth gives birth to new life
of all forms when flowers errupt from the soil
and trees bud with new life and new babies
are born to creatures of all kinds
Looking through the lense of love to a fresh,
new season will reveal hope in the form of new life

I see it everyday,
but it isn't often
that I feel it

God is on the
move, he is
doing great things

In the lives of
others AND in
my life

It is harder to
see blessings
when you are weary

But that is when
you need to be
watching carefully

Because they are
definitely there, if you
open your eyes

I see it through
the discouragement
and pain of my life

I see it through
the lense of an mother
praying on the sidelines

I see it through a
person who works with
those in pain every day

God is on the move
and I see him doing
great things!

The fight

Those are crucial moments
When the intensity rises
When you don’t know
If tomorrow dies
Or you rise

I can see myself calling for shelter
I can see myself greeting the new morning
I know we might loose it all
Or win this last battle

I wish, so siege is the only option
Because loosing the fight
Is not solving the problem

I always fantasised about oh so many mornings
About oh so many longings
You might see me as one of many
And we are strong enough to conquer
The hearts of the psychopaths
The hearts of those old people

I am not saying this was foreseen
There simply is no other way
And to renew this world
There is no alternative
Than to paint it all in colourful colours
To see each and every detail
Through the lense of our knowledge
Of our wisdom
Of our hearts
We are far too many
To loose this fight

Perspective or perception

One unbiased through a lense seen clear
Objectively,subjectively unvarnished in form
No quantum entanglements at all devoid of expectation
Free flowing electrons prism like in possibility
The other a one eighty of the above

Oh captain, my captain,
you said Carpe Diem
go out and seize the day;
Lead with only your heart,
rule makers have no say;

Oh captain, my captain,
I know I must just feel
to find my truth’s compass;
My soul is a wild horse,
I’ll not wear a harness;

Oh captain, my captain,
I’m such a romantic;
A filtered heart shaped lense
gives prose tinted glasses;
Does love ever make sense?

Premium MemberAsking of You

How do you view the world ?

Is your sight through eyes of your own ?

Does the vision come by clear and sober ?

Or is it cluttered, needing sharpened & honed ?

How much of your view is obstructed ?

Is your viewpoint elevated and clear ?

Or is the field of view constantly interrupted ?

By a mass of hysteria that's near ?

Are you able to bring your sights in better focus ?

Or does it remain blurred, beyond your control ?

Do you believe you have the best optics ?

Or has your lense now corrupted your soul ?

Real Recognize Real

Real recognize real
While I walk through the seasons of life
I meet alot of souls along the way
Some was nice
Some was wrong
Some was good
Alot was bad
Some was intimidating
Some was just friends
Alot was selfish
Too many was greedy
Despite all I meet on this Journey
There was the little few
Whose personality were beyond words cos
Real recognize real

Real recognize real
All I needed was what money can't buy
I don't ask for your ego or your level
I just wanted realness
No faking around
Life is short and I got no time
To retain it shorter than supposed
So I seek for my kind
They are not easy to come by
They are not everywhere
They are few who wear the lense of nature
They are not common
And when ever I find one
We connect so deeply
So happy with warming heart
We dont need money to stay in connected
Cos is not easy to come across realness
No wonder
Real recognize real

Big Deal

Big Deal

Own it , control it
Don't hold it
Hold it all in
You were meant to win ??
Life throws all kinds of challenges
Know that you can manage
Manage
Take control
Don't fold
Just hold
Hold on
It's coming
All that you ask for
So much in store
You will get
Don't live life with regrets
Do what you feel
You are a big deal

Big Deal
Big Goals
God plans
He's in control
(Repeat 1x)

Stand on what's right
Don't get blinded
Lose your sight
Get a new pair of lense
That's where the faith begins
Faith is believing in the unbelievable
Achieving the unachievable
It's real
With God
We leveled up such a big deal
His blessings for you are sealed
Ready to be open
Constant praise and devotion
No body has to understand
You see God said when others doubted you couldn't
He would show you that you can !!!

Big Deal
Big Goals
God plans
He's in control
(Repeat 1x)

I'm a big deal
That I know
Standing on it for sho
(,Repeat 1×)

Big Deal
Big Goals
God plans
He's in control
(Repeat 1x)

Repeat until chorus fades

Vision

I'm trapped in the sleeves of my mourning jacket
unable to pull the wool from  my eyes
This is my new lense for seeing
grief is all encompassing
The heart  becomes blind
The spirit rages with every sigh ,the soul trying to flee the skin through every tear

Premium MemberThe Eiffel's All Seeing Eyes

Paris is the city of romance
encaptures love lost couples so dear
experiencing an atmosphere of love
reveals their innermost feelings so clear

There at the heart of Paris
the Eiffel tower stands on high
looks down with its piercing eyes
sees romance evident where heart lies

So much love on view from history
the Eiffel's lense has watched it all
watched boy meets girl to connect
from first kiss to their ring select

Having watched the Paris magic
fall upon two love birds in love
the Eiffel looks on with loving eyes
says deepen your affection from above!

(Looking down from the city of Paris's central point of the Eiffel Tower captures the city's fame as the city of romance looking metaphorically from the Eiffel's eyes on the romance that happened throughout all its years.

Premium MemberHistory Is Speaking

Perhaps it means nothing, nothing at all.
Why should we stand together?
Why should we catch one another when we fall?

History is speaking and we choose not to hear.
All the sacrifices made for us, all the screaming, all the tears.
It’s in our nature to take and to give.
It’s in our nature to want to be free, to want to live.

The clouds of the storm are gathering.
And we’re naked in the dark.
Perhaps it means nothing if they push it too far?

But history is trying to help us. Through its’ lense there’s nothing we don’t know.
About how the savagery of our species if left untamed can flourish and grow.
So what will it take to open our eyes?
A few people disappeared, a few more lies?

Because soon there’ll be no future that we will want to know.
When our rights, our way of life is destined to become unknown.
Soon they’ll be no future that you dream of for your kids.

Similar words to these were probably written and ignored in Germany in the late 1930’s.

Brotherly Dignity

My brother, you as well as I know
That I should have wished you well long ago
Nevertheless I wish you well now
As I make to wishing wellness my vow

We brought each other down at our own expense
So myopic was our lense
We each saw only what was one's own
Until our doors were knocked and banged by others' groans

Therefore I wish you rain and I wish you dew
May God give you a robe and turban white and new
Be the walking dignity of we your kinsmen
And may we resemble gloriously as brethren

For the flourishing of one and another and another
Will breed praises to God whenever we'll gather
May it proliferate throughout the nation
That the peoples may draw from us citation

And when it's all done and unabated
So will it be to the sons an inheritance slated
So soaking will Godliness be to our name
That repute will be more than fame

Premium MemberOverlap

The overlapping of me and us three
Of who I was and who I turned out to be
I never ever felt I was good enough
Or tuff enough to deal with that stuff

Gentleness inside grew like a flower
by day by night hour by hour
Yet I’m not some shrinking violet
I did not could not would not cower
I allowed soft to become my superpower

No bitter bone or heart like stone
A soft voice without the sappy happy tone
Those who need me won’t be left all alone
My minds not made to be judgmental
even when others might feel anger prone

So I’m okay with me
and who you two became too
We each have our ways to be true
I’m thankful we escaped our blue
Finding our best way through
We are more than what we were
or even all the things we’ve done or do
Nothing is everything
Thankfully overlapping old ways
make way for the new.

Myself an my siblings each dealt with the trauma of our childhood in our own ways. When I was younger I had trouble accepting their different ways. Time is a lense that helps us view the past with more clarity.
