Secret Lines

Invisible ink
Concealing what can't be said,
Read through a heart's lense
Secret lines of pure intent
Guiding to the promised hands

Perspective or perception

One unbiased through a lense seen clear
Objectively,subjectively unvarnished in form
No quantum entanglements at all devoid of expectation
Free flowing electrons prism like in possibility
The other a one eighty of the above

Vision

I'm trapped in the sleeves of my mourning jacket
unable to pull the wool from  my eyes
This is my new lense for seeing
grief is all encompassing
The heart  becomes blind
The spirit rages with every sigh ,the soul trying to flee the skin through every tear

Surrounded by Hope

Spring is when the earth gives birth to new life
of all forms when flowers errupt from the soil
and trees bud with new life and new babies
are born to creatures of all kinds
Looking through the lense of love to a fresh,
new season will reveal hope in the form of new life

Abigail Harp

Average Abigail
Abigail Harp
Had a dog
A dog named spot

Spot could see
Abigail not
Does one simply
Turn to a bot?

Each morning Average Abby
Broke a lense in a glass
Cleaned a dish and put it in
a dishwasher?

Mirrors would crack
Heads would twist
Poor Abigail Harp
Turned to mist.

Poet's Gold

Poet's Gold

Not always in a glass
Observes from the humble heart til last
Call out with his pen, his voice soft as a cool wind
His lense on life, colored by history’s whim
Writing becomes his eye towards the truth and
Sky

      Always, and ever asking himself the why?

             A poet’s gold
             His diversity

Daft Shopping

While walking in the market one day
I started talking to a friend we had lots to say
Unmindful of whatever came before me
Kept walking somewhat straight with glee

Suddenly my forehead banged into a pillar
My hard lense fell off and the pain was a killer
Hooding one eye I looked for the lens but failed
A passer-by made a call to my son ,the problem was nailed

Compass Of Truth Dead Poets Tribute

Oh captain, my captain,
you said Carpe Diem
go out and seize the day;
Lead with only your heart,
rule makers have no say;

Oh captain, my captain,
I know I must just feel
to find my truth’s compass;
My soul is a wild horse,
I’ll not wear a harness;

Oh captain, my captain,
I’m such a romantic;
A filtered heart shaped lense
gives prose tinted glasses;
Does love ever make sense?

Lense Illusions

I looked at snapshots
From a bygone day
Were things as great
As people like to say

Everything picture perfect
Clothing and smile
Captured by the camera
These pictures in my pile

There is my old self
With a knowing look
The memories flood back
Like pages from a book

As I keep flipping
My tears make me shake
Taking this look back
What a huge mistake

So back in the box
To the rear of the shelf
Hidden but not forgotten
Still a part of myself

This Strangeness

This strangeness can seem
so insidious and violating
Glaring at a stricken life
while assuaging
a broken lense and its tense beam
Streams peter and crawl
silently
beside intended tears
Friends till the last embrace
when the bough broke

Learning endures my trust
Each baleful of insight
ignites a trail
where something burns,
and another arises
But this summer does in deference to its blaze
require some rest,
its master, another day

Turning the Pages

Turning the pages
         Heeding to my mum's and aunts' counsel
         Following my insightful cousins' ways
         Seeking God's wisdom

Each day of my life
        Am turning pages
        Writing my life, telling the stories of others
        Watching, each lense at a time

Playing each song at a time
        Am turning the pages
        Thankful for the beauty I see in me, in others

With God the leader, the ink in my pen, a follower.

What It Feels Like

Strength has become my weakness,
Withering away my soul.
Fighting to make it right
Turns out,
Ive only been diminishing my life.
I used to hold on;
Druing all of the blistering hurt,
To the little moments of your love,
Still knowing how quickly you may
reverse.
With my optimistic views
Fogging up lifes realistic lense,
Im left to wonder;
What can i do to cleanse?
The impurities you've created,
The nightmares you've caused,
And the worry
I'm overwhelmed with,
Because Im left to fight alone.
