Health and human services of Ventura county
Labor dispute
Has refused key access to governor newsom
In orders legislated
Denied rights of homekey assignment
And resigned account

The total loss of life is significant

Occupation of excess in Union
Against better
Refuse bettered man

Consort of treason
Record in account held as quieted palms

Sacrifice
Order to report otherwise

Internal review
Of publicly provided access

REMAINS AND DECREES

I crossed the archives as one walks through a field of ruins.
Decrees were bones, dogmas were nails.
Kings signed treaties in ink darker than darkness, a pact forged in daggers.
Papal bulls oozed blood beneath God's varnish.
Codes etched the systematic animalization into stone.
They legislated hell, administered suffering, theorized the slaughterhouse.
Even science became an executioner,
draping contempt in formulas and measured skulls.
I didn’t read history,
I breathed it,
its ashes glued to my lungs,
its screams wedged in the margins.
They crucified continents for their gems,
their plantations, their ores, and their silences.
They told me: progress.
But I saw boots pressed to throats.
They told me: forget.
But the graves still speak.
They told me: democracy.
I saw tanks circling the ballot boxes.
And you, West, with your carnivorous grin,
you demand forgiveness without returning the bones.
You scream values with your pockets full of plunder.
You dress up your hunger as mission.
You baptize your rape as liberation.
You persist, you insist, you gorge yourself.
But our memories are neither dead nor tame.
They sharpen.

Third wave, they said,
One, two, three, four, five...
Number increased, doubled,
Authorities legislated laws,
Ministers and ministry
That had made mad-laws
Had violated them...
Rallies after rallies by leaders,
Each leader on his party,
Yet, each one fighting election,
Election is a celebration, they say,
They celebrate, almost, every day...
Mask-less, distance-less, care-less,
Masses on their very own
Singing praise of their leaders,
Will there be many deaths, again?
Will corpse in Ganges float?
Will community burial
Become part of sacrifice-ceremony?
Muslims and Christians burned,
Hindus buried or floated in Ganges,
If no wisdom gained,
One truth will be proved:
Dead is dead.
Whatsoever might be the toll…
Of all who buried or burned or floated,
Who's great? Who's small???
Won't this humanity, yet
Learn a lesson at all???

Premium Member Love and Care

We love our parents
  We defend our brothers
and our sisters, fiercely,
  from verbal or physical assault

Some love their co-religionist
At least, they may care about him
When their co-religionist cries in
Australia, they can feel his pain in Canada

How much love can you feel for someone
  whose language, whose religion
whose race is different from your own?
Can love, can care, be legislated?

Hating The Haters?
Written: by Miracle Man

Protesters brandish signs which decry stop hate,
yet loot and burn until the hour grows late.
As intolerance is tested, many become agitated,
but the hate in man’s heart can’t be legislated.

Beyond our sight are those intent on causing trouble,
whose aim is to destroy, leaving livelihoods in rubble.
They don’t burn buildings based on pigment of skin,
but loot and leave graffiti and have no chagrin.

In pandering to voices because they’ve grown loud,
police give more oxygen to a match lighting crowd.
All lives matter not just those causing the affray,
we must move forth together as we seek a new day.

Load Shedding In South Africa

When ignorance and mediocrity is on display,
fancy title and salaries become proof thereby.
The incompetence to deliver is the destruction,
implementation without visions is a foolish attraction.
What makes it very clear, when too many idiots pulling the plug,
the ship will sink, regardless the excuses by this pathetic flog.
Leadership has to proof itself by sincere integrity,
or democratic politics become anarchistic misery.
The chances are that everybody stops paying the electric bill,
and those self elected wasters running for the hill.
The parliament exchanges all day long so many honors like a sugar wand,
pushing responsibilities further and further to dumbfounded stand.
Legislated arrogance creates a memory tread,
when relativities bouncing of the empty head.
When politicians and its sheep’s hunt the savage dream,
prophecies of failure are the current in the stream.

Premium Member A Quiet Moment of Beauty

The sun's light slowly rises
to pierce the tempered glass of our window
and splay its soft glowing rays upon your face
to give me a quiet moment of beauty
that's not legislated by clocks nor timeless tides

Though our arms are empty
my eyes hold you in a gentle caress
in our precious world of perpetual dreams

Knowing we will always be warm together
beneath the round skies of tomorrow
where we will walk in comfort
hands held like young lovers under a trembling moon
seeking nothing more than to share years
wearing soft coats of yesterdays filled with jeweled memories
polished by hands of love

Though we shall never pass this way again
       we have passed
and in doing understand
we have become a quiet moment of beauty
not legislated by clocks nor timeless tides

Premium Member A Righteous Demand

The righteous ones claim justice must be served,
but what exactly do they mean by that;
a conflict in our thoughts that I’ve observed
requires us all to be a diplomat.

While justice from a legal point of view
means what is legislated into law,
but from a moral view we can construe
that social justice overcomes the flaw.

So what are we to make of these demands
for justice by the people in the streets
while holding signs and echoing their stands
as Congress rather gutless keeps their seats.

Perhaps we need to reconcile the rift
between the moral and the legal shift.

Courts can free
or incarcerate the body--
we are subjects of laws,
both legislated
and those self imposed:

"Faith" is a double-edged sword--
it may work fine in heaven
but fails miserably when it comes
to politicians.

"Though Unseen"

Racism oozes inside there, though unseen,

Just vibrating there with incredible fangs for punctures;

Far inside the nucleus of our frenzied souls,

It throbs knowingly there, like a silent spider,

Deep inside the focal core of sentient breathing.

It cannot be educated away into obsolescence.

It cannot be legislated into social edicts for the fools.

Alas, it is fear that directs the spasms of hate.

It is the suave cocktail for the blind ones, the dying ones;

They play the games of the spiritually comatose.

“Shhh, find the light switch lady in white…shhh…”

It is behind the crusted door beneath the eaves;

It is oozing there, though unseen.

Just vibrating there, fangs ready for the sucking.

Find it fast inside there,

In the dim corner of last year’s cobwebs,

Amongst the eaten sweaters and forgotten umbrellas.

“Shhh, find the light switch lady in black… shhh…”

It is the only solution to the hate thing…

Find it fast, and sip the sweet nectar of healing.

Burger King taking a risk
  But why leave like this

They say times are changing
  World economies rearranging

Rearranging mankind's life
  Now legislated role as wife

Budget increase for drones
  Are making our world moan

Moaning for what's to come
  Angels' song or missile hum

Maybe someone will help us
  Before the radioactive dust

Vladimir Putin's new vision
  Ushered in a new season

Wars and rumors of wars
  It's time to habitat Mars

Changing Biblical history
  Could bring more misery

So, not like this
  Earth we'll miss.

Freedom Lost

Here in the autumn of year 2012
I mourn freedoms lost as do many other of my countrymen
I mourn the loss of these freedoms; blindly legislated away
Freedoms that our fathers fought and died to win and knew so very well
I weep for our children that know not what has been taken from them
Freedoms taken from us or simply given away in the name of security
Freedoms forsaken in the name of security is also a chain that tightly binds
These many chains cast upon us will eventually lead us into bondage
In bondage none will raise a voice for they want not for anything
Wanting for nothing but for the freedom that was given away

Communion

In the midst of males
The grey haired meant to move
In accordance with the rule
Legislated by nature

With kola nut blessing it starts
Through pouring of librations
To call the watching sleepers
It just invites

And unites
The hustlers and the sleepers
For we all have shares
In the unity of the parties

May the light burn still
And the keeper, keep it still

Mercy Killing

At the turn of the time at nine last night
Sprawled swimming still with the tide
The wheel against her will in her on pool

The doctor masked with eclecticism of electricity
As Mercy laboured last breath for mechanized exit

Mercy was not killed, it was mercy killing

To spare the tree, spoil the fruits
As advocated so legislated
The doctrine of rightists and leftists

At the top of the hour at nine in the night
Flushed, flowing free down the drain
The flight against her right

The doctor pointed patron’s panacea
For Mercy missed first breath for calculated death

Mercy was not killed, it was mercy killing

To seize the clog, severe the cord
As directed so acted
The song of activists and their likes

Well was it mercy killing
When Mercies were killed
At nine last night?
