THE EMPTY FILLED CUP
Ever felt a vacuum despite the fact you fill-up others?
But how can you fill up other "cups" if your cup is empty?
Can an empty cup fill-up another cup?
But if you're actually filling other cups,
Is it possible to say you feel empty?
Self-sufficiency, the coin you search for in the bag of grain.
Can you "find" another whereas you're in oblivion yourself?
Overflow before filling others, find yourself to find others
Else, life is overwhelming and efforts underwhelming.
When things don't add up, it's time to subtract.
Subtract toxicity and laxity, keeping positive vicinity.
Past is haunted & painfully blooted still, face life undaunted.
Fill your own cup first with joy, peace and Love.
Then, you're able to overflow effectively into other cups.

Ann was anxious to be Greg’s Mistress
And never saw The Waiting Distress;
The Male Laxity with Steely Stress
That was to make her from God digress
And from The Commendable regress!
Greg would not his own weekend clothes press;
After breakfast saying just “Just “Oh Yes!”
And after Lunch, everywhere a mess!
“God!” Ann had kept moaning more or less”
Over a Greg paying not for her dress,
Sure that this could never mean Progress
“As though Greg’s chief interest My Goodness!”
With Greg one couldn’t make a right guess
Unarguably A Tougher Chess…
The wrong things most times he’d gladly bless!

The delusions of reason,

The naps of ethical men,

The laxity of the righteous,

The blindness of the "spiritual"

For Your work, my God, that calls for my best sacrifice
I present myself by Your mercy every time I arise
Overcoming idleness of futile exercise.
In fulfilling my tasks with Your guidance, surely wise...
Here am I, Lord.
For Your work, my Master, that demands my full responsibility
I submit myself, thanking Your salvation-security
Refraining from indulging in laxity.
In exerting my efforts while doing Your entrusted duty...
Here am I, Lord.
For Your work, My Creator, that increases my eternal treasure
I yield myself, so I can be diligent midst labor-measure
Prevailing over worldly pressure.
In performing my roles with Your power’s enclosure...
Here am I, Lord.
For Your work, my Saviour, that deters my earthly toil-anguish
I humble myself midst temptations that make me languish
Abiding in biblical standards I, by Your grace, distinguish.
In shining to reflect Your light no one could extinguish...
Here am I, Lord*.
*Acts 9:10 ... Behold, I am here, Lord.

His result slip showed he had failed
Friends celebrated their success
But his parents and some he shamed
Had pinned on him their hopes and focus
His Dad said "For negligence, it's the price
Your direliction is hard to repair
So change your style to do better in life"
And he sat like a mountain in despair
Son forgot laxity and his ugly past
And set himself to make it remember
Reformed for next exam and fixed fast
"Failure teaches success," he would utter
No more sorrow and shame he'd bear
No faltering, no fall but bright future
Bad experience lessoned him to dare
And avoid loss of face through failure
He abandonned excess video games
And concentrated in his text books
Made alterations to feed his study aims
And set Success like bait on his hooks
His consistent work bought him success
The year ended with earned love and praise
His negligence was just like an abcess
That of failure was just his life's phase

The touch of imperfectionality on some naked truth.
It burns deep into the flesh of happiness,
Yet stands smiling at the laxity of frailty.
A drop of legality would have seared the ice.
Some degree of excess consciousness couldn't avail indiscretion.
So selfish I was, struck the baton to revealing.
Tore down the garment of wonderfulness.
If only it had wrath a shield against grievous consequences.
Strayed from the bareness of my palms, my cherished secret.
Caved in the passing-by of history, are acts and actions I adore.
Regrets bid me awareness but I annex consolation in satisfaction.
Springs of flowing emotions seals my loosed heart.
I'm hung to the persistence of negativity.
Sunk into contentions so absurd to gamble worth for kinds.

Deep down there is a lot of hurt
Many things we ought to be by now but... we’re not
Nevertheless we still have destiny in view
But that’s deep down in our thoughts
Stranded in reality we know our time is due
Tomorrow is near yet we still don’t have a clue
Deep down there is a lot of anxiety
For we were consumed by our laxity
Oh! How we wish we were wiser
For life has thought us lessons much deeper
Only then do we realize our faults
For the tomorrow we feared became our death

Silliness coupled with much humdrum
drains creative energy from the minds of children.
Bored kids, raised by televisions, make warped decisions.
Viewed daily by the hour, murder becomes ordinary.
The wild lunacy of far too many people
causes vulgarity to erupt at an early age.
Integrity is not taught by crude interjections.
Reality: kids mimic adults without perception.
Elegance is foreign; brutality, common.
In modern childhood decorum is misunderstood
as mere rules and likewise humility is worthless
Laxity reigns with sporadic parental harshness.
Today’s children have a mentality and morality
that would rattle our great-grandparents’ false teeth.
Our children are wiser than their peers of yesteryears,
re: street-smarts, fits and starts and body parts.

Still clinging onto the hangover of colonialism
with mental independence weighed to a pathetic size of almost zero.
You are a beautiful woman, yet low esteemed like a barbaric savage.
You are contented with pain because of the availability of opiods.
You constantly shuttle in this nonsense
with the thought you are caressed by time.
Greed and a constant tussle of power and selfishness drag you behind
with foundation-less systems where corruption is the institution.
Civilization seem to marry your ideology by accident
dragging the feet of developments to the point it becomes stranded.
An entire region not in a good shape,
so timid and flawed indicated by its unspoken glances
degraded so low that an ordinary monkey intimidates an elephant
having the substance but lacking the direction
like an affluent clueless man when alive
but dead and buried within his possessions.
Despite the persistent surge of prosperity both from the west and the east
you take a small step in decades with the belief
that such laxity is just a naughty spot.
You may be moving, but much slower than a dying millipede.

Today I accomplished after a sustained effort
I wanted to set my mind free of all its dirt
I got rid of all, that's redundant
The baggage of experience that's abundant
Anger, hate, envy and jealousy
Myths, confusion, illusion and fallacy
Laxity, mess, incoherence and insanity
Chaos, clutter, dishevel and obscurity
Dogmas, tenets, maxims and rules
Traditions and conventions that the present ridicules
Desire, ambition, hunger and greed
I removed all that I didn't need
Only to realise now, there ain't left anything
My anxiety to set it free meant there's nothing.

Intrusion on silence's speech
Ushered in by a black van's screech.
A wigged man in his spectacle
Sits in tentacles of fates and miracles
And bystanders troops in and out
Some either chants, sings or shouts.
An old man braced himself at the dock
Vehemently clinging to the tinge of luck
Gallery of evidence and exhibit were displayed
At the gleeful eyes of the persecutors and the dismayed
The judge have seen and heard it all
To give his sentence and leave the hall
"Death by the rope" he declared with the gavel
On a sound block just before it clocked eleven
Though, he knew his judgement has no laxity
To determine his professional sanity

My Resolve
I must, even when strangulated
I’ll wrestle laxity spirits
Trample financial boulders
Level opposition Mountains
Muster my breath against ill winds
Dry up the sea of worries
I must, even when strangulated
Race against age and time
Walk on the waters of faith
Cultivate farms of goodwill
Play the music of love
Must above all, survive!
